Can we still build guild catapult with guild influence after HOT expansion roll in?

At the moment it cost 500 influence for 1 guild catapult, we have almost 4 mil guild influences and we are thinking to convert this to gold which will be useful for guild hall upgrade later. but can we do that after HOT?

They are covering guilds for the rest of the week. We might find out what stuff we can build.
I think there’s also a good chance that we won’t be able to create some of the stuff that’s currently available.

Perhaps I should clarify.
There will be a way to slowly spend influence when HoT hits and you have a guild hall. (Some may not require the hall.) However, it’s likely that, even with this, you’ll wind up with some small amount that you can’t spend in any way. If the cheapest thing takes 200 Inf, and you only have 150, then that 150 is wasted.
We don’t know how small the minimum useful amount of Inf will be after HoT hits, so you’re at risk for losing any you don’t spend now. Also, it sounds as if the rate of transfer will be pretty bad, and time gated. They don’t want anyone spending money now to buy an advantage when HoT hits.

I think it will technically be possible (via converting the influence to favor) but the exchange rate will not be as favorable. I recommend you build as many as you can now.
However, it’s likely that, even with this, you’ll wind up with some small amount that you can’t spend in any way. If the cheapest thing takes 200 Inf, and you only have 150, then that 150 is wasted.

:( I do not usually like to complain but, we are quite disappointed about the influence becoming almost completely useless.. at first we thought its ok at least we can build catapult and sell them and make some gold for guild hall upgrade later. The guild panel can only store maximum of 25 guild catapult, if we instantly build them which cost 5500 influence, and to take them out there is a timer of 10 mins each. This means we have to basically sit there whole day just to get the catapult out. We have been keeping the 4 mil influence for HOT. This is really unexpected big lost. We are very disappointed.

And once again it looks like small guilds get kicked in the stones. The exchange rate that you call “unfavorable” for a guild with 4 mil influence is what I would call “disastrous” for a guild the size of mine. I’m disappointed as well.

If its true that it may take 9 months to complete a fully upgraded guild hall then the time gated favor may not be such a big deal.

All that influence will go into your guild hall and if it takes an average of 9 months to build the speed boosts will be welcomed.

Any chance we can get a general idea of the conversion rates for influence into the 3 other currencies post HOT? Anything ballpark would be great. I’m advocating purging our influence down to under 500k but some in our guild are concerned that’s too low.
Guild chat video showed 10k influence for 1 favor. Is that fixed? and how many per day can you purchase? Any hints on the favor costs for buildings / upgrades?

I’d also like to know how much favor we need to be able to start our Guild Hall Quest?
It was shown on a live stream that you need 150 favor to start the expedition but they could have changed that value by launch this week.

Hmmm Depends on if they want to move the figure up or down.
I guess that if they don’t want to punish smaller 10 man guilds then I would say it would either be the same amount or it would drop to probably around 100 favor.
I doubt they would use a scaling affect on it tho that would be the more likely idea with a lockout so if post HoT launch everyone suddenly discovered a 10 man guild needed 100 favor while a 100 man guild needed 400 and a 500 man guild needed 900 (RGN’s from my brain lol). The lockout would be if everyone left the guild to get it down to 10 people the favor requirements wouldn’t reset for 1 month. And not many guild would like people to leave for that long.
While we’re discussion favor I will note that during another live stream it was shown that an "easy " mission rewarded 300 favor (400,500 med,hard respectively) so we still don’t know the final value but I hope that it can be obtained with 1 mission and done the first weekend of launch but maybe that’s just me.
