Wasn’t sure if I should post this here or bug forum as I don’t know if this is intended or not, but it would appear you get nothing for completing each individual map, has anyone got anything for completing each single map?

The reason I ask is the way one of the collection items for specialisation weapons is worded: “Rewarded for map completion on a Magus Falls map with an _______.”

Are you saying you completed one of the maps and got nothing, or are you asking if people get anything?

I think most of the maps have at least 1 level 5 mastery gate that delay completion. At least that is what is holding me back on AB and VB. It will be another week or so before i’m done with them.

Completed 2 maps and got nothing, sounds like a bug from that reddit thread, thank you Healix for posting that.

I just completed Auric Basin and I did not received any reward.

I have 100% Verdant Brink, Auric Basin and Tangled Depths, and I have not received a single reward for any of the maps. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Perses, I am working on VB map completion. Says I am missing one POI, but I can’t find it on the map. Can you post a screenshot of the completed map?

I have 100% Verdant Brink and Auric Basin, and I did not get the rewards as well.

I just got 100% on Verdant Brink and nothing happened, no rewards, no exp. Nothing. So basically we’re being screwed out of being able to forge the legendary weapons requiring a Gift of Maguuma. Awesome.

Do any of you guys have 100% map completion of Central Tyria?

Another thread in this forum found it seemed to happen to those with 100% map completion.

I have 100% map completion in non HoT Tyria (twice over.) No reward received for VB completion.

completed all 4 maps 100% no completion reward for a single one.

Needs to get fixed asap please, only thing i need for my Bo and i dont want to run my lvl 46 thief through Verdant Brink just for the chest. Will do if neccessary.

Well the non bugged people have won this round.

They figured out the gift for the new legendary. That gift alone will now cost you 750g if you can complete it at all. There is currently enough mats left on the TP for 2 people to make a new legendary. I suppose they will actually be legendary.

This topic may be old, but since as it stands it’s still relevant I would like to ask a question.
Can anyone tell me whether it is intended, that you get the reward for completing a map only once per account?

I completed Verdant brink once with a Thief and now with a Mesmer. While the Thief got the reward my Mesmer remains empty handed. Does anybody have a similar experience?

Does your Mesmer have 100% old Tyria completion, with the gold star by the name? Because that’s the issue we’re all having, and I think ANet intends a fix for this to be in the Tuesday patch after which people will just need to go to the map and have the reward trigger.

You should get the reward for each alt, same way you get the Gift of Exploration reward for each alt that does old world completion. After all, you need to complete the maps multiple times if you want to make more than one of the new legendaries. So your Mesmer likely has that gold star, I’m guessing. If not, you still might want to wait for Tuesday’s patch and then see if the award triggers on zone in before you submit a ticket.

Thank you very much for your reply Donari. And indeed the Mesmer is my main, and thus the only character I had 100% Tyria completion. I will have to wait for the patch then, together with everyone else.

yeh this is a really bad design flaw or a bug, either way I think you guys deserve to be compensated! Hopefully arena net fix the problem! To be honest if it turns out to be a bug i think you guys deserve a 10 gold for all the trouble u have to go through!

Would be nice if ANET simply came out and said what was happening, will it be getting a fix and to advise others to avoid completing maps as it has the potential to block progress on certain aspects of the game.. but silence as ever is the order of the day.

Pretty sure there was a red post last week saying that the map completion fix (hopefully a fix…) will be in tomorrows patch…

If you’ve got everything and have logged in since Tuesday, then submit a ticket. The patch on Tuesday fixed the rewards for map completion.
