There is only so much outrage with this because Stronghold at the moment is disabled. Bunker chrono only real strength is holding points and currently the only game mode is conquest. A-Net doesn’t balance solely on one game mode and has to balance to the others as well.

Once stronghold is back people won’t be hating on the current META as much, unless your stuck playing conquest, then RIP.

I literaly dont know anyone who actively plays stronghold. I guess its something that is popular amongst the i just do this for my dailies crowd?

#1: more people queing conquest (i’d rater have soloQ instad of stronghold anytime)
#2: gamemode is a failure (personal openion)
#3: as you stated this gamemode causes even more balance issues

6months before:

dear devs. why do you ignore/not use many of the brilliant stuff you invented in gw1??
UI customization, Build templates, Hard mode dungeons(yasss PvE), andy many more
they are good and many people are asking for them. They are like lost treasures in your OWN garden, lets dig ‘em out!
hell most of the pvp modes could be ported and the whole community would be happy for ever!
i know everyone got a little genius working inside with many many ideas, but what’s good is good… why thorw it away?

you came up with stronghold, you have many hours of hard work in it… but imo it gonna fall out of your hands. you are struggling to balance conquest, now you feel you can handle to balance a gamemode with this big complexity that stronghold has along the conquest stuff. I really hope you gonna succeed and got all the good wishes, but i cant really understand. if you want gvg why dont go with something like in gw1? it was so simple, original and awesome (and also your work).

Stronghold – dead gamemode. It’s good at all, but Anet just drop it – no competive, no tournaments, even not in Guild Ladder. It’s just another _Tardyard.
Forget about it and play in circles, because new gamemode requires too much effort from Anet. They do not like to overwork.

People play stronghold? Not really. ESL doesnt even support it. Stronghold was a waste of development. Bunker Chrono needs to be fixed ASAP it is killing PvP, it makes it not fun. I just got out of a match where the first 5 min of the game was no caps no deaths because of double bunker mes on both teams. This just is not fun. Period.

So…? Who cares actualy if ESL does support it or not, how many players participate in ESL tournaments? I’d say, we have more players who Stronghold only, than players who participate in ESL GW2 events.
