They changed a whole bunch of skills’ visual effect to reduce visual noise a while ago.

However, I really don’t think the old aura effect were causing any visual problem. Those auras are very important to be aware of in a fight. Current aura visual is simply too weak to notice. I have to constantly check buff bar to know the aura status. So I really hope Anet can revert the aura visual to its old state.

While i agree there needs to be less visual noise, reducing auras definitely made it worse.

They said at some point that aura changes are going to be an option. So y +1

The hilarious part is that light and chaos auras, that you don’t really want to see, are far more visible than shock & magnetic, which you need to see.
