Expansion excluded, which honestly only upset whatever balance there was.

How is it there are less features in pvp now, then there were on GW2’s release?
- Tournament tokens gone, tournaments in general.
- I’ll consider rank emotions gone since ANET just ended up making them grindable.
– Underwater combat gone
- Mystic forge gone
- Unique PVP weapons gone
- Unique PVP Armor gone

And whether your a casual or not, the pandering to the PVE element of GW2 is truly what killed pvp in this game. Even the rewards system is a joke. Why not hand players a trophy, title, gems, gold, every other currency for tying their shoes too.

TL:DR (My QQ. GW1 glory pvp days are long gone, the future of GW2 is…. well sad)

Ok, you have some valid points, but please, PLEASE, stop using the word “pve” to describe everything you dislike. PvE = killing artificial intelligence. That’s it. Rewards are not specific to PvE, ease is not specific to PvE (I can’t beat my computer at chess, no matter how hard I try), and pretty skins are not specific to PvE. Just thought I’d make that clear.

Removing solo q and PvP unique currency (glory) / skins , stale game mode etc take your pick

I have to say when you put it like that what the OP is saying is sort of true… however, they tried having separate sPvP rewards system etc. and it did not incentivize enough play so they unified it to draw in the crowd that cares to play both PvP and PvE — it is the logical thing for them to have done.

Can’t say it is working as intended especially having played this season, in retrospective I think the matchmaking might be worse that the first season (or then it is just the people playing, can’t say as I skipped the second season entirely), sure it had its own issues… but I can’t say this is all that much better in some places.

True, the 6/23 trait system threw everything in a loop. However, for a while somehow….it worked. HoT was when everything really just IMPLODED.

Glorious Armor still exists, as does the legendary backpiece. The other “unique” “PVP” skins were just a grab bag of things Anet forgot to implement in the rest of the game.
