Lack of Anet interset in pvp
They do it on a quarterly fashion (every 3 months). Dunno what you want, as it has always been this way. Always, even before HoT.
You know what? I actually like that they aren’t more communicative. Otherwise ppl in PvP forums would just tear everything they say into shreds. There are problems with the game, but those problems won’t go away if people trash the developers. That is also probably why they don’t post more. They are scared and for good reason.
Tom you serious? There is totally no interaction between pvp players and Anet. And i will be the last to say something concerning pvp but what i hate the most, there are plenty experienced pvp players out there (most allot better then me), and they give hint’s to anet, but y totally no communication in pvp, Anet what you want ????

Anet has done more overhauls, added more things and generally just gotten on its knees for ESL.
Now compare that to WvW (which is currently in a better state than its been in a LONG time).
Anet does too much for PvP imo.

I think Anet has too much interest in PvP. They have pushed esports to the point, that I think, they have crippled the rest of the game.
The MMR system in this game only works, in reality, for teams and top tier teams at that. This is at the loss of enjoyment for the bulk of the pvp player base, in order to keep top tier players in the game.
Still pvp sucks. So either their work is for ESL stuff only or they don’t work at all.

The amount and quality of changes they where able to acomplish in those quaterly changes where rather dissatisfying since ever.
what u want? I guess more frequent and thought through changes considering there still are billions of untouched design flaws brought by hot or from before.

Wtf WvW got a lot of attention…tactivators, changed PPT scoring, Desert BL (I know its poop)…Just because most of the things that came out of Anets work on WvW were bad doesn’t mean you can just ignore it and say it didn’t get attention.

Anet devs give plenty of attention to pvp. The problem is not attention, it is that the actual division of labor and structure of devs at anet make it basically impossible to keep pvp balanced. They can add all the pvp content in the world, but they can’t balance a simple skill/class without having to evaluate the impact on every single game format, because balance is handled by a single team for WvW, Raids, Fractals, general PvE, and PvP.
Also anet has a policy in GW2 (unlike GW1) of not splitting skills to be different in different formats of play. So skills/classes have to be balanced for 5v5, zerg v zerg, zerg v world boss, guild v raid, and 5 v fractal. Good luck with that, anet.
This is why I quit GW2 PvP after running a team for two years, and playing since beta.
Thane ? Attention for me means regular dev’s interaction in forum. Is it a poll like in wvw or some attention on good discussions here, whatever. And they will split pvp/pve somehow as they said a few days ago (but probably not enough). Or they have only a few people on pvp, or they are afraid of communication this way is not the good one.

As mentioned above, a developer has posted recently.
They’ve seen the complaints and suggestions.
What I was told is that they will not always reply to threads. They don’t want to be cornered into something unless they know and plan on going in that direction. They don’t want to promise something or say something that may hint at a totally opposite idea and have the player base get furious at them.
