Can you guys actually introduce rewards to bring pve players to pvp. Can you bring new game modes in. Can you guys fix all the bugs that continually pop up (mercenary amulet, druid rez bug). Can you guys make it so we can save our own builds. Can you guys make it so we get good skin rewards in pvp. Can you make it so theres a clear party maker for just pvp. Can you fix the ranking system so that its like other popular mobas. (bringing pve players to pvp) make it so we can get ascended gear through pvp. Anyone else know of anything else that will make pvp popular in gw2? PLZ SHARE

Sounds like a bad idea, players who want to PVP will PVP, players who want to PVE will PVE, making an alternative route to give PVP players ascended gear isnt a bad thing, as long as it isnt easier then getting them in PVE, thus making players feel obligated to PVP to get geared in PVE.

Two main issues with pvp continue to be:
1. Still no appropriate tutorial for new players to learn how to properly play the game.
2. New players being thrown to the wolves with veteran players. This particular issue is extremely kitten ing to the game, because this generally sets off veteran players who then take it out on newer players.

-balance unused skills and traits to be viable. this would shakes up the meta and
-add 2v2 gamemode
-soloque at least during peak times.
-proper mmr rewarding system, with something to show off like the badges for divisions(which are not prestigious enough)
-(add a button in the pvp menu that links to the LFG tool’s pvp section; dont let ppl leave a match until they click that they decline)
I probably forgot a lot of important things but these were what I could suddenly think of.

Most hard-core players don’t want pve players…they are just casuals for them…
That’s why people want to gate divisions and legendary backpice (legendary backpack is the reason why season 1 was such smash hit) and ad little elitism to ranked…
On other hand they fail to understand that pvp needs pve to sustain itself (less playerbase=longer ques).

The thing what is important for me is make this game easier TO LEARN. Hotjoins are mess, pro-esl community don’t share wisdom very much (few only stream, to few post here), there is no guides about what rotation is, counters, every thing is needed for noobie to learn hardway (so they pick easy builds ect ect).

Even I having 3 years experience have some problems: ele is bad condition now but I want to compete on the same fair level with other classes. So I decide to reroll for example rev but…my mrr isn’t low…to often I have to fight with pro-league in queues so how I can play safety new class or test new build without lowering my mmr? We all know hotjoins are bad and to chaotic (thank god we have wvw and roaming).

1.Delete the Conquest and promote other game mode. Conquest is a totally fail design and out-date mode. It’s hard to balance , boring to watch , confusion , class stacking , bunker , AOE problem all come from this suck mode. They make more and more new map for this mode but no one want to play it. This is a waste of resource and time.

2.The frequency and time of the balance are…. SUCK!!! they know the problems before the season begin but don’t improve them and let them break the season. This is ridiculous. Let’s players play a suck game for two months. How to keep the player base!?

They should:
balance —→assessment-—>balance —→ start new season-—>assessment—→balance.

MMORPG already began to decline. A moba with a big map and pve. It would have been to GW2’s advantage. It is a selling point for moba player. And PVP is a way that no need many resources but can make the game popular. Unfortunately, they’re not grasp it and let’s it decline. It is a great pity.

GW2 PvP was somewhat popular. Then HoT power creep killed it. At the top end, people quit because elite specs are way too survivable compared to everything else and easy to faceroll. At the middle and bottom, players get farmed by builds like dragonhunter which offer great performance for relatively little skill.

Yeah but game is not ment to be balanced at all, Anet prefers to design some easy gimmick for X time then change for another even if it kills or put some classes on the shadows…(pointing at thief every one does so much damage that thiefs are not needed, and some classes can do it in aoe and be sturdier than thiefs).
All players need to do is pay atention to what is broken, or do X job much more easiers.

No, hotjoins is exactly where you should be learning to play the profession. Who cares if they are chaotic or a mess when your objective is to get used to the profession.

This was suggested for PvP for a reason. WvW isn’t a suitable place for competitive fights.

10v10, 5v5, 2v2, 1v1 should each have their own game modes and rewards in PvP.

As for gear….. There should definitely be an option to allocate stats on your own. Having stats picked for you is just sad.

A lot of the things anet has done have pared down both choices and diversity since the game began.

If you want a true fight between a person and yourself you go to PvP. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with fewer options than you would have in WvW.

The path to bring back this game to a popular one had been chosen.

They did in august 2015 open up a F2P subscription model that let new players try the game.

SPVP at that time had 3 seconds queue pop. It was really popular.

2 months after the initial offering, it crashed on a Pay 2 Win paywall. The new big population did chose to play other F2P game where the Pay Wall is not mandatory.

They never looked back.

The only way to bring SPVP that much popular, is making an offering to the PVP player base that are playing other game right now.

Pve players don’t like to stress and adapt versus human. Gw2 pve players are worse than the other pve players because they prefer to ZERG FARM big events to maximise the “easy” play.

To make spvp better all classes and builds options should be relatively close enough in “power” so that all choices are viable at same level of skill.

Then, they need to go back to the PVP population and say: We now have the best balanced game out-there that permit 1 millions of builds that can compete with each other.

But… we are at the opposite of this, because HoT need to sales BOXES… so your skillful competitive play options are DEAD on the selling machine.

I think Anet needs to embellish their PvP offering with their next xpac else they will miss their chance completely.

A good competitive mode however could extend the longevity of this game by 5 years. But they need to invest seriously and stop fooling around changing a few numbers on only the skills people are using.

With the game outstanding battle system potential it’s just shameful that pvp can’t be more entertaining.

Here’s a crazy idea for balance & build diversity. In pve as you level up the game gives you X-amount of core stat points and spends them on your Power, Precision etc depending on your class. What if when you went into pvp (for the first time) all those points got reset and you had to manually attribute where to spend yr stat points.

Say you get 2000 stat points:
Warrior might put 1000 into power, 500 toughness, 500 vitality.
Necro 1000 toughness, 500 condi, 500 expertise

Think you get the idea. (BTW just pulling these numbers out of thin air by way of example) Then amulets etc could be used to buff stats you didn’t put points into, or supercharge ones you did.

In this system, you could choose to go full power and do massive amounts of damage, but your play style would definitely have to change to adjust for low life and toughness.

Anyway, its a thought.

We had that tied to the traits system before june 2015 patch.

It was great for build diversities but not enough “custom control”. Your proposal sound great in that regard.
