Nobody in their right mind plays a competitive game just to get constantly fed/ thrown matches. Or a game where the the community and dev teams promotes players to be noncompetitive in a supposedly competitive Ranked PvP setting.(Pretty much completely defeats the purpose of playing ranked pvp in that setting, let alone for it being a Ranked game mode in the first place.) Which is why so far out of all of the games and MMOs I’ve played in my 15 plus years of PvP gaming, GW2 is the only one that has this going on in it, to such a drastic degree. It completely does more harm then good to any competitive game mode Online or IRL.

Unranked should be the place for these players till they have basic PvP conquest game knowledge Allowing them to pollute the competitive side of the game mode unchecked, has completely proven since the start of Season 2 Ranked Leagues that this has kitten near damage this game’s mode as a whole now beyond salvage. That is why in most other games these players are not allow to go unchecked in their Ranked queues, and are restricted to Unranked mode for a time. Some cases 250 plus hours of actual Unranked gameplay before even allowed to touch their first ranked match. To allow them to become productive enoth Ranked PvP players to help grow the game’s population and not chase it away, which is what’s happening in GW2’s sPvP game mode.

Me personally would love to be able to play GW2’s sPvP mode instead of other completely different title to get some competitive action. However again nobody in their right mind plays a competitive game just to get constantly fed/ thrown fixed/stacked matches. You want to push players to make teams and of the sort? The game mode has to be first fun, competitive and have some prestige or else it’ll just decline. Like whats whats happening to GW2’s sPvP now. Players will not bother to stick around in a noncompetitive game mode that is supposed to be competitive.
