Pfffft, I’d love if people yell at my work. It means they actually care enough to want it to be better. I hope the devs doesn’t take this harsh criticism as hatred of the game, we just want things better.

Im very glad for the Leagues to start, very eager to try everything!

But couldn’t you guys just launch it today when all is tested? I’ve planned a PVP evening tonight with my friends, assuming the leagues would be available today…

Sweet! Are there plans to combat 5 man queues? I’d hate to queue into a 5 man pre-made, when none of them are in the same guild.

Brussels is gmt+1 so its 9 hours ahead
12am in central pacific is 21 in europe (Brussels, Paris, Rome)

I am a man of the opinion of taking responsibility for what you do. If I lay out a product that someone has very negative words to say about me and it then I rightfully deserve it. Especially if a large population are saying it. I’ll also never make the same mistake twice due to the very unpleasantness of going through that process.

So while we all understand your point of view, I think you need to understand the other point of view. When people lash out and speak harshly about something that’s not always a bad thing, and usually 9/10 times is the result of built up frustrations. In fact its also a VERY good thing. It means they are very passionate and care about the subject matter. So while it sucks to log onto a message board and read that you suck at your job/need to be fired yesterday it is a part of your job. Now out right harassment isn’t good nor should it be tolerated, but passionate venting/criticism is well within the right of every person who bought your product.

Anet is also pushing very strongly for Esports. They REALLY need to pay attention to the satisfaction of the average joe and the masses. They will make or break your chances for esports. Catering to the pro players will not achieve this.

So where does it all fit in? When the masses are yelling that your game is unbalanced and is not fun to watch/play then you need to pay attention if you really want to get where you want to go as a company.

the masses? there are a small number of people complaining about it on the forums, and if you look through enough of the posts then you will find people complaining that every class is OP (well except for the poor ol’ warriors)

the only im-balance in the game is that warriors need a buff, and a few very minor tweaks may be needed on some other classes. otherwise the game is actually fairly well balanced at the moment, more so than it has been in the past and tbh the dev’s are doing a kitten ed good job of trying to make sure every class has a viable build.

but as you said, everyones entitled to their opinion, just realise that the small sample of players you see on the forums here is not necessarily representative of the “masses” that actually play pvp

Good to hear you are making sure everything is working thank you for that.

However I am going to be ‘one of those annoying ones’ too. I really praise you are also releasing a balance patch with it. I have been training with friends in PvP as a team really hard and we really plan to get competetive. However we are all losing our nerves due to unbalance in PvP atm. It’s really discouraging atm.

Anyway enough sadness, yay!

With the numbers of players who play this game dropping significantly, and the fact you only get 5k viewers for the pro league I think my statement holds weight.

All the forums are littered with negativity, and the reason you don’t see 90% of it is due to the forum mods. The negativity is also all over chats in game as well.

You can’t play like an ostrich and stick your head in the sand. If you want to make this happen you need to take firm ownership of your actions.

Every game’s forum is littered with negativity. Have you seen WoW’s forum? Have you seen TOR’s forum? Have you seen Wildstar’s forum?

People only open their mouths when they have an axe to grind, otherwise they just play the game and don’t give a crap about the forums.
