PvP forums, I have a problem
Get class wins on your achievements, but not your PvP stats? Seems very unrealistic, I’d say that’s something you’d just have to forego to keep your pure Thief account.

Maybe do them and pray to devs to clean your chart afterwards?
Not that I would bet on that solution… ^^

this is a shame, i’ve seen some people here get helpful advices about getting those achievements, so I hoped maybe there is a solution for my case too :[
if you have thousands of matches on thief then a ~30 matches-profesion is unlikely to appear on your diagram.
Edit: in theory. if i’m wrong, then too bad no swag diagram for u.
Well, Hugh said:
Hey everyone,
I wanted to just chime in here and make some things clear as they may not be clear.
The “Year of The Ascension” achievement do not reset/clear between seasons. Whatever progress you have carries over to the next season.
If you can’t/don’t get the legendary if a specific year then there will be another way to obtain that specific backpack. I can’t go into any details on that, but you WILL be able to get previous years backpacks in some way.
We also understand the frustration of players and matchmaking this season and will do our best to make some changes for Season 3.
So it’s theoretically possible that the later method of obtaining it might not require playing other classes.
I’m kind of surprised that no one has suggested that we request the ability to look at our records by profession.
After all, look at what everyone complaining about having two seconds to look at our stats and scores after a match resulted in. Instead of two seconds, we now have two minutes… and a better stat breakdown too.
IMO, of all the ways to approach this, asking for the ability to view your stats by profession seems to make the most sense. YMMV

How do you think it can be solved in another way when it clearly says you have to fight and win matches on other classes? Stupid thread. Forget your backpack then, its backpack or no backpack & thief 100%. You have two whole choices.

take it easy cowboy im reaching out for community’s wisdom right here
(and also hoping that seeing another one of these threads devs might eventually remove the req to play multiple classes for getting backpack)
So I’ve reached my legend rank and stuff and I’ve never been one of these PvE loot hoarders which have been after the legendary PvP backpack since the addition of ranked, but constantly seeing all this mass madness with backpack with people going as far as getting a mental breakdown over not being able to progress in PvP started filling me with the wish to get myself that backpack as well.
So here’s my problem: I have 100% participation as Thief in pvp sticking to it even in the most dire times (s1) and Im not willing to change that since it just fancies my view to see no other classes in my sPvP participation graph. Is there a way to get those profession achievements without getting other classes added to my sPvP class graph?
You can’t. Git Gud on other classes or forget about back pack. Overall git gud /thread

you dont have to “git gud” on other classes since you can just relog on them few seconds before you win the match
and in general you dont really have to “git gud” in gw2 to reach high rank anyway

Yeah, git gud at relogging then.
First of all, high five for rockin’ thief, even when it’s not the popular thing to do.
However, I say go for the profession achievements, even if it affects your PvP graph.
Take a screen shot if you want for keepsake value, but playing other professions, at least to some extent, will make you a better thief since it helps you understand how to counter them more efficiently, so it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
