+1 I agree. I ran into a 5 stacked turret engi team last night. I’m thinking I may just start leaving matches when I see that kind of setup.
Agreed. I find that PvP is more enjoyable (and encounter less toxic behavior) when it is OK to lose. This particular daily makes it unacceptable to lose. It’s not fun, and it brings out the worst in people.
This has been brought up at least three times a week by different people since the daily change. I have reported this numerous times and I’m sure gates has as well.
Just stuck in a wait and see situation….. sadly..

They could also randomize the professions for everyone to avoid class stacking. I like the idea of the daily but the current implementation isn’t the best possible, that’s for sure.

I think they should randomize it as well. Its so annoying fighting so many of a single class

Random per player would be more difficult to set up. Why not replace daily class with daily armor weight? Like “Daily Light Armor Winner” or “Daily Medium Armor Winner.” Then, for example, there may be still be an increase in thieves or rangers, but it won’t be ALL THIEVES or ALL RANGERS.

Still better than 5 mesmers, 5 rangers or 6 thieves. A split between necros, mesmers and eles would mean those that main one of those classes would stick with it for daily.
I honestly appreciate what they were trying to encourage with the class dailies. There’s not a whole lot of incentive to try new classes other than personal curiosity or ambition, but it can improve a player’s game knowledge and skill significantly to learn the other classes – specially in PvP where you need to recognize animations, track CDs, anticipate play styles, etc.
That being said though, I honestly think there’s better ways to do it without making it something so impactful on the match making.

It would eliminate whole problem of same class match ups and that way ppl can play whatever they want.. Heck, I wouldn’t mind if it was win 3 games as any profession. So tired of seeing too many mesmers or rangers everywhere. Not fun.

Any one of these is better than the daily “class stacking”. It messing up matchmaking and overall lowering the player experience. Not sure why Anet implemented this right when Justin was in the middle of modifying matchmaking’s algorithm.
Dailies are a good idea. The type of Daily they implemented is very much counter productive and overall a bad idea.

It encourages people to play classes they aren’t remotely good at, then they que with them.
3 thief, 1 Ranger, 1 Turret engi Vs Me (DPS guard), 2 Warriors, 1 thief, 1 ranger.
Both warriors are useless, clearly not their main class and don’t know how to play. Leaves the DPS guard to bunker close instead of fighting mid to counter the thiefes and engi, thus we lost the game.
Stop the daily proffession, it doesn’t help anyone.

It needs removing altogether, just replace it with “win X number of games” instead of “win game as x class”.

Daily wins or an armor type daily would be better. Daily light, medium, heavy armor profession. I mean all three each day not one of the three each day.

Many people play classes they know nothing about just for the dailies. So they spoil matches for the other players which try to win. This wouldn’t change with personal class dailies or armor class dailies. The best solution is to replace it with something totally different or daily wins without class restriction.

This is exactly what I don’t understand. It’s a daily WIN, yet they use classes they don’t know anything about. What is the point of that? Just farming wins till getting lucky?
