Does rune of nightmares interrupting you really cause interrupt traits to proc? If so that’s really crazy, overload air and then get rune of nightmare procced and have multiple conditions on you without that person even knowing you exist.

They might as well make a power based rune that deals 5k dmg to surrounding if you get hit, ignores protection/toughness/dodges/blocks aka krait rune. Or power based rune that does 3k dmg and stuns whoever hits you.

They shouldn’t do that. They should just remove passive autocast CC from the game entirely, starting with this rune.
So with the change to deathly chill…
You attack the necro>your feared., chilled and bleeding…
You can use up a cleanse and hope the bleeding gets removed
Or
use up your stun breaker to get control back. But still bleeding.
Or
Don’t waste a cool down. Eat the bleeding and lose a couple k of health., and have no control of your character.And the necro did NOTHING.
but you know its a ‘L2P issue’.
Who’s losing to this?
any power build without a lot of stability and condi clear/resistance to throw around before the fight ever starts.
I just want CCing someone to be a conscious decision a player makes, not something that game automatically does for them.

Thieves have no access to Resistance.
Thieves have virtually no access to Stability.
Thieves are squishy and require an effective opener to stand a chance in combat.
Passive CC/reflects can wreck a Thief’s day.
At least give Thieves an offensive trait to counter… such as: a critical hit will negate passive CC/reflects… or entering combat will grant 1 second of Stability.

How many classes have resistance, and who would want to waste stab or resistance against a rune, leaving them more vulnerable to the enemies harder hitting cc’s?
This bonus feels like bad design to me. I would like to see it changed to something else.
Passive cc on runes really isnt great, apart from that many runes could use some upgrades, but maybe this isnt the time atm.YET!

I can remember times, when it was used by some power necros, who would kill people just by unavoidable procs (fire & air sigil, air rune proc, chill of death). I don’t miss it …

I agree, especially when it comes to cc effects and conditions.
All passive cc and anti cc should be removed, whether from traits or runes or whatever.
1: Land a hit on a condition warrior
2: Gets interrupted by the rune effect
3: Instant fear, weakness, 2 stacks of bleed and 4 stacks of confusionYeeeah…
The best feeling in GW2: die as a thief while your opponent didn’t even press a button :P

I’m not totally sure, but I think the rune effect can be blinded. That’s one of the reason I always Blinding Powder into Steal into Fist Flurry to land my burst.
But yeah, in general, you just have to hope that someone in your team has already activated the passive. FeelsBadMan

Yes it does. On the fun side of the spectrum, so does the 6th effect of the Rune of the Sunless. It’s hilarious on a baseline hambow condi warrior.
