So at last finished my Road to 100% soloq legend run. All done on necro. I have heard from 2-3 people that they got to legend with only soloq too but that would diminish my kitten size so i will just say they lying and im only one universe. Some tips on soloqing to legend:
1. Dont kittening do it, its absolutely pointless, soloq is not that bad but 100% soloq is pointless and just 2-3 games with rat squad would save me at least 20+ hours from this run, for example i was 1 pip away from sapphire but it took me 10 extra hours to actually get there because i kept meeting party boiz.
2. Dont que at night or weekend, late in evening party boiz go out on prowl, especially car trash just waits till everyone beside soloquers are asleep and only then que. On weekends its just mystical time to que, you meet strangest creatures ever and even tho they are in your division you have never seen them in pvp before.
3. Play something that can carry and adapt, revenant or bunker mesmer or if you are very good then thief, pips were coming very slowly until i started switching between celestial/carrion/viper amulets depending what my team and enemy team is running.
4. Actually everyone can do it, as much as i would want to pretend that it took skill to carry bads with time everyone could do it in diamond i met some people soloqing and they were just horrible players that i had never met before in past, the good player progress faster and after while you are left with only bad players in your division so with time everyone can hit legend.

Was amazing run first time in years i actually cared about winning/loosing that much, at last could rage again about loosing etc. What motivated me was watching some other people streams where they would que with party and just sit there 500-100 winning every game while i at least had chance to get a good close match. even tho 30% of time party boiz would destroy it.

The system is broken, its not even supposed to work, you win/loose multiple pips not because you win/loose fair matchup by big point difference but because you win/loose unfair matchup. It already says that system is not working if one of the teams is supposed to win before game starts. But still i had my share of fun so instead of calling it completely broken system i will just say its arenanet system.

Grz to this, i quitted long ago on my solo road cause of

1.) Don´t kitten 100% soloq – i did though – frustration
2.) queued at night/weekend – frustration
3.) played scrapper – should´ve played bunker mesmer or revenant
4.) So u might can do it. How many games did u actually play to get to legend? U need 4 weeks?

U really ever didn´t join any premades?

Grats! Playing carry builds is def the way to go, like cele tempest for me, thats how im diamond now but i dont have the time nor will to push for leg. Qing at set hrs def works, esp when ur at the last tier, i even stopped for 2 3 hrs n it felt like the system reset itself so i got dif matchups n wouldnt lose.

Nope i even declined invite from 4 man party that just beat me when i was few pips away from next division, staying solo was the hardest part of it all so if i wouldnt have set this challange for myself i would totally party up when close to next division.

Would you care to share some of the Necro builds that got you there, or is it bad form to ask?

(I’m not suggesting that most mere mortals have the skill required to achieve Legendary/SoloQ by merely copy/pasting your build, but I think a lot would be interested to see what you ran)

It is actually true that there were already a few people who achieved legendary soloq before you did.

I also really hope that you are not lying about youre 100% solo q because I heard otherwise..

And necro still works fine for solo/duo queue, got legendary a few days ago :-)
Another huge tip to get to legendary: Just draw rotations on the map and typ in team chat. Most of the people throw games because of bad rotations and trying to 3 cap 24/7…

Not really that difficult if your willing to grind away simple math will tell you it requires a slight over 50% win ratio over which as kittenoloing can still be achieved if you put the time in.

Gratz on legendary!

I put the time in only solo pvp with my necromancer but cant get from 1 to 2 in diamond. Enemy team most of the time get better players( i mean really the system kitten with me and on the enemy team every player close to same skilled as i am or sometimes same skilled and i get some low skill player to do something with them that cant kill anyone, cant defend anything, just dying in 2-3sec with meta classes. cant res their teammates and cant stomp and cant cc, cant focus the same target ( even when i use focus targeting and get someone for example a guardian down to low hp he just need a bit more hit but they are fighting auramancer who is full hp kiting/trolling them. I rarely get a team now that actually is not bad pve like. Why? I dunno only explanation system hates me and dont want me to get from 1 to 2.

Still i will not abuse the system. Just don’t care too much till divisions not fixed to player skills.

Diamond: Med-High High skill
Legendary: High

Now its a lot of bad Diamond and Legendary players. some Med-High in both Diamond and Legendary. and rare High in Diamond and Legendary.

It doesnt take much insight to understand that he mostlikely got to diamond with a different class or build as such playstyle wouldnt get u there, unless he played tons of games which is less likely.
We have class achis for the ascension and if u put two n two together hes likely to be testing around, like many do after hitting diamond

Im solo Legend too. And I enjoy the game well better without the pip loss pressure.

So around 1/3 of a pip per game roughly.

… I accompanied you lots of hours on your road to legend on twitch and congratulate you for finally having reached your goal. It was a rough ride most of the times (and all matches I witnessed were solo).

And I remember how you were not able to finish a revenant with 2k hp and kept blaming your team for the loses in next games. This is why I treat most of the streamers like kitten, nice for show, not really when not. Not to mention I’ve seen some s/p thieves playing better than you’re.

Important reading, all should read and enshrine these ideas.

Solo Q through Ruby was a nightmare. Diamond actually is not that bad.
