Would the best way to farm Season 2 just be running a 4-man team?
The positives:
You are getting pooled back into soloq players which may or may not be coordinated + shorter wait time.
You will never face a 5-man team (because of the solo player you pick up randomly can’t face a 5 man)
The only other matchup which can ruin your farm would be another 4-man or a good 2+2/3+1+1/3+2 but you only really lose if they are more skilled without requiring any team coordination. (leaving out 1+1+1+1+1 since I’m going to assume 4 coordinated people can’t lose to pure solos)
The (only?) negative:
The random person you pick up is an anchor, but given the overwhelming positives, it doesn’t seem you’re losing much since you can’t farm solo players if you take a 5th.

I don’t believe this to be the case.

ArenaNet has been very particular in their phrasing with the matchmaking changes. They said a five man premade will not face a team of five soloers. I think this means full premade teams will face any match up where less than five players soloqueued. E.g. a 2+1+1+1 or 3+1+1 or 4+1 or 3+2.

Run Revenant/Reaper/Scrapper/Auramancer and spam ranked = Profit!

Thief players like me will have to play double or more the game to get there while being flamed for playing cuz diversity is for weaklings.

or Good Ol’ fashion solo queue and get Lucky w/ a 4 man premade facing bunch of solo queuers.

That’s how it always has been and will remain as such.

Stronghold shouldn’t be enabled to jump Divisions. Only Conquest. We don’t play Stronghold in tournaments so don’t allow it to jump Divisions. It’s that simple to fix.

No real way to exploit the match making this time around really since the game takes the highest MMR in group for matchmaking purposes. I would guess Stronghold farm.
