As some will know, me and my team has been working away on an ambitious poll regarding the state of GW2 PvP and balance.

In each case, I will show the question I asked and the most common response is shown in bold.

1, What is the most OP profession? Thief

2, What is the most Op trait that should be nerfed? Pulmonary Impact

3, What is the most OP skill that should be nerfed? Shadowstep

4, How would you rate lordrosicky as a community member, forum poster and all round good guy (1-10)? 10

6, Mine too, Should they add maps like revenge on capricorn to ranked? Yes

7, Do you think the pvp devs do a good job? Yes, generally

8, Do you think there should be more volatile rating changes after decay within a season? No, this sucks

9, Does necromancer need buffs? Yes

10, Are queue times too short for players with 2100 ratings meaning they match with players much lower after only 5 minute? Yes

11, Do you like the new PvP rewards? Yes

12, Do we need better in game communication/pings on the map with meaning? yes

13, What two classes takes the least skill? Thief and dragon hunter

14, What is the easiest class to get to legend with? Thief

15, Should invuln/evade spam be toned down? Yes

16, What amulet should be added back to the game? Sentinal

The “which two classes that require the least skill” is to simple. It’s not as simple as just one class or build. The skill caps and skill required to play and counterplay each class and build various on a sliding scale to me.

Example? Thief is literally paper that goes up in flames to a burn guardian. Meanwhile most berserker builds can just manhandle a burn guardian and force them off point and kill them. Meanwhile a decent DH is on a more level playing field against a warrior.

So, to burn guardian warrior feels OP while Thief is a joke.

Please stop trying to present your biased opinion as some kind of community opinion. It’s not, and you insult the pvp community by acting like it is.

If that doesn’t fit the definition of insanity I don’t know what does.

Necros don’t need buffs. They seem weak because powercreep allows other professions to pressure them more than they were designed to take. They were meant to take pre HoT damage, but with HoT, the only things remotely defensive that they received were shouts and a trait that reduces damage taken from chilled targets by 10%. That doesn’t keep up with the insane damage buffs given to everyone, including Necros, through trait buffs and low CD skills. This is also why Necro damage needs to drop with everyone else.

Necros do not need a buff. They actually need a nerf if anything, but that nerf needs to come with everyone else. Then Anet will have to reduce the insane amount of blocks, healing and evades in the game or else there’ll be another bunker meta. Just look at Necros and you’ll see the game’s powercreep. They’re the profession that doesn’t have any ways to prevent damage other than dodges, so it truly can show just how crazy high damage has become, along with damage prevention skills/traits.

Necros don’t need buffs.

tbh Necros could use a Condi elite spec. Specter auto is literally the only thing that has kept condi necro viable since the Deathly Chill nerf. With how traits in Reaper work, condi necro has to trade way too much DPS to get survivability to the point that condi necro has to go glass or go home. Meanwhile power necro makes no such trade because BB doesn’t cost it, and power only needs spite and doesn’t have to double up offensive traitlines to function.
