When's the Next Profession Balance Patch?

since the balance patch has been quarterly I would expect late October

Yes it’s true that I am a scrapper main (GASP) but I only play it because I like the kitten deep play style with good sustain (or in a scrapper’s case, really really good sustain) and if an old bruiser build such as d/d ele were to get buffed at the expense of my “precious” scrapper being nerfed then I wouldn’t even grieve.

While I am not a big fan of “press all your buttons as soon as possible and win” builds, I do prefer the tankier/more forgiving specs in this game rather than the current state of thieves or s/f elementalists that require near perfect skill management to excel in the meta
On DH’s (and even ranger traps)
I’d give definite consideration to longer, more indicative cast time- rather than quasi-instant nuke buttons.

Isnt that what gw2 is so inovative about?
Players love when they are carried with classes that are somewaht sturdy and do alot of damage, i heard it is called skill.
The way classes do damage in this game already carries alot of players, that is why some classes need the defenses they have.

It’s not that I’m trying to favour my profession, in fact I’d rather see scrappers get the nerf hammer along with all the current meta builds. My point to this thread is that I’m finding this current meta a bit repetitive where most classes can unfairly heal themselves for more than the damage being dealt to them (INCLUDING scrappers). If I had one word to describe this meta, it would be just planning annoying where there is too much cc (I’m looking at you guardian dazes, ranger immobilizes and warrior stuns), too much invulnerability with blocks and evades (I’m looking at you guardians, mesmers and thieves), too much healing (druids, eles and debatable revenants), too much res power (scrappers), too much condition pressure (warriors, necros and mesmers) and too much stability (pretty much every class is guilty here other than thieves).
I know it may seem that I’m bashing everything about pvp and admittedly, I am. However, that does not mean I still don’t get the same old nostalgia from close games, amazing 1v1s and great teamplay, it just means that the CURRENT meta that we are in has a tendency to get a bit repetitive (with the same old builds/same old skills/same old people qqing about everything like me. But qqing aside, I am not strictly asking for everything to be nerfed except the classes I play because I’m not facerolling enough, what I want is something new and fresh in pvp without expecting to be trap spammed, endlessly kited by druids, healed to 100% by eles, rezzed by a function gyros, have a constant 10 stacks of confusion and torment on me, be condi bombed by necros and warriors beyond cleansing capabilities, have thieves evade every single skill I use and to see the same old staff and sw/sh revenants. I don’t want everything that makes a class viable, I just want to see SOMETHING change
K THEN.5162, guardian blocks are needed so we cant be easy roled by easy damagers, it is the defenses Anet gave us due how easy is to play classes with high damage, w/o them guardian DH is a dead class that would be roled by every one that dont need even to learn their classes.
U really want a class that u can kill w/o effort dont you? altough i would love traps getting reworked, still is is the only way we can pressure with damage has some classes do. :\, alot of things need to be toned down wich is complete the oposite of the gw2 ideal.

The next balance patch notes determines if I keep installed or finally uninstall this game again for good if I do not see any of the issues fixed.
It’s unacceptable that the elementalist be only a shadow of the class it used to be and that WvW fights are no longer skill-based. It’s time to fix all of this.

Balance patches usually land when ranked season ends, so I’m thinking Oct 4th or 11th.

The amount of bullcrap is the same , I see randoms running in circles spamming all buttons off CD with that OP hammer, I see randoms surviving where they should be long dead, I see random tanking 2+ players simply because they play a scrapper or dh or similar crap

I do know that. But that is a wrong allocation of resources. A new map is not a ‘’small thing’‘. Put less people on the ’’PvP-maps design team’’ and more people on the balance team.
I’m really against any sustain nerfs to any class, tbh, because right now people melt so fast it’s not even funny.
You guys are right. Guard is massively underpowered. Looking forward to some serious buffs in that class.

im rly waiting for some EPIC BALLANCE PATCH,like half year now…..
not + 2 sec – 1 sec,remove amulet,actualy ballancing something,adding utility to skills,making useless skills usable…. one can only hope.
