You could like, make them count as a draw you know,
but obvioulsy its the better thing to do to count them as a defeat.

if team scores are tied, total personal score of team members will determine winning team.

there is no draw.

If you mean when a teammate disconnects They do NOT count as defeat even though it says so on the pvp page. Winning streaks are preserved in such cases.

winning := being first aka beating (all) opponents w/o doubt.
defeat <=> not winning
draw => now winning => defeat (from upper defination)
