3 main stats and 1 off stat, like expertise, concentration,ferocity ( so we will be far enough from another mass celestial user wave ).
No jewels.
btw the two new “off stats” expertise and concentration are not very useful. only situational.
expertise is rendered useless by condition removal and immunity.
concentration is rendered useless by boon removal, corruption, stripping etc.
I hope celestial fakes or 5 stats necks will never see the light.
if you can’t chose a role and pretend to play again an hybrid, well, enjoy.

Cause celestial is the cause players are unable to learn how to play, and casual spam instead learn to watch enemy actions or use properly their cd.
The perfect example lies within tempests ( and other classes which have good healt pool and good sustain ).

I would rather say, in PvP should be at most 9 different amulets:
- 3x for damage dealer,
- 3x for bruiser/tank,
- 3x for support.
This is the only way we could have some kind of balance in here. Balacing things with 100 different amulets is literarly impossible; unless all of them are almost identical, but then why so many?
and finally shown up some1 who put balance over diversity.

vitality alone without toughness is not enough.
with 5 stats, we can make sure there is at least both 560 toughness and 560 vitality.

Controversial opinion: delete stats altogether and then balance the game around the classes’ unique abilities and how well they can each fill a roll. Then the balancing might be simple enough that Anet actually bothers to do it.
no. This makes game awful again like cele did. Cele should be deleted or need to be torn down hardcore like 20% but anet actually just rip them all rather than torning down. And what you are doing here is calculation of 5 stats based on OPness ammy, cele, which gonna be deleted for being OP.
Even tho 5 stats amulet would be introduced, its stat total should be a lot less than your calculation you calculated upon celestial ammy bases. You said 16% on 5 stats? then I would say 10% if 5 stat ammy would be introduced. Meanwhile, cele would need to be like 13%.
It is just wrong to calculate base stat from OPness amulet.

Honestly I’d rather they reintroduce jewels, then people will get a little bit more choice and customisation without them needing to have 30 different amulets.

It is fine to have 5 stats amulets as long as there are not more than 9 amulets in total in PvP. You suggested to add one hundred additional amulets, what is very bad for balance.

This is an interesting suggestion, although it would take too much freedom of choice from players. For example, I would like to play an assassin elementalist, but I can’t, because devs want ele to be a pure support. Or I would like to play a tanky thief, but can’t, because devs want thief to be a typical burst-or-die class.
There needs to be a compromise between freedom and balance.

Don’t you see now with 20+ necks players are using only 3/4 necks?
The point is, adding jewels or new necks will be the same.
Players will use always the best choice, which means:
-kitten celestial like necks, like the one posted by seyiwaji some posts before. Which emulate the old celestial, just removing the 2 worse stats.
-1 zerk neck. Cause berserk neck is not worth it and marauder is way better.
Etc.
We should have specific amulets with 3 main stats and 1 or 2 secondary stats ( vitality, ferocity, concentration and expertise ) due to give specific necks and prevent celestial to come back.

There is a reason anet doesn’t want amulets with greater than 4 stats. 1 is cause it makes balance harder. 2 some classes can utilize the multiple stats better than others. Ele for example. I love my ele. But do I feel like it needs a tone down? Yea I do. Cele just is too good on this class. Why? Cause the class is built to optimize on the multiple stats. Esp through boons. Too many stats is just a mess to deal with for any dev on the balancing team. Anyways I said my part.

As someone who is actively experimenting with a curses/spite super boon corrupt build I can tell you that even with the patch changes there is no where near enough corrupts available to shut down boons. Boons are simply way to easy to apply for many classes.

the last one is still a bit for sustain but it should be able to be bursted down. the 560 toughness will prolly give it 2.5 to 2.7 toughness on average instead of 3 k plus and protection.

it will prolly become another celestial amulet esque type with 5 stats. and since some classes have way more sustain then other classes. If marauder scrappers are already a pain. imagine one with toughness and vitality in the same amulet for example.
better play it safe and have toughness and vitality not in the same stat with 5 stat amulets.
Anet deleted also my non offensive message which claimed some players on forum play dumb and asking modifies, aiming to bring back celestial neck.
I do respect players who write about modifies which could bring balance to the game, but not who tries to avoid fixes somehow.
Also when is obvious that someone is trolling or pretending unbalanced mods instead searching for balance.

The real problem with celestial producing OP builds was having a much higher total of allocated stats. Never really understood the justification behind this.
The HoT tank meta wasn’t directly caused by celestial – it was elite spec traits and skills scaling too well with toughness / vitality. However, the only guaranteed way to stop the tanky meta was to remove the defensive amulets. Otherwise season 2 still ran the risk of being another boring tank meta.

Yeah we all know that the real problem lies with how well certain builds and classes synergise with certain amulets. But the simple fact is that A-net balances the game around 3 game-modes. In order to keep both pve and both wvw happy. They’d remove the amulets that are also part of the bunker meta problem.
Celestial esque amulets simply do not work with how things are currently handled. rather remove them and introduce new ones.
I think it’s a lazy fix. But unless the balances is an major overhaul keeping these kinds of amulets will change nothing.
