what i miss from the devs
I posted about this a while back here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/Communicating-with-us/first#post5287244
What’s sad is that at one point the devs communicated with us quite well. Now it happens in hiccups—we get a burst of activity and then they disappear. Every once in a while we even get a pledge from them that they’ll do better, lol. It’s very frustrating.
problem is that they have to use forum to read about that they should use the forum. Kappa
I agree 100% and have suggested similar. Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone’s listening.
I am used to these threads from every MMO I play and actually yes I do like it when I hear something from the development now and then. But ANET is not that bad in my opinion, they give us information that is needed. If they where to give us a ‘we are working on it’ many people would complain about how slow ANET are or how they are not keeping their promise as has been showed in the past. I rather play a game where the lead game designer worked on the game rather than he/she was sitting on Twitter answering questions. The devs are working on their game and they have people on all different communities the keep an eye on what people are saying. I have seen many changes to the game that players have asked for but it is not always mine or your wishes.

this might work for casual mmos, but not when you’re trying to force your game to become an esport.
problem is for devs to post a simple post here, they have to get the let go from forum manager and all other departments of w/e and everything..
reason why reddit is more used i guess..
They even have the forum communications team! I would love a job like that. Barely doing anything and getting paid for it. Sounds awesome.

What makes a game with esport much more important than any other game? It’s not like ESL gamers are more entitled to information than anyone else.
It’s not like I don’t mind the silence from the devs sometimes but I don’t think that they are sitting on the other side laughing at us saying ‘better not tell them anytging’.

with the lack of motivation for gw2 i went out into the big world, playing other pvp games and while i’m enjoying this and that, i saw something that would benefit guild wars a lot.
I saw something too. I saw devs actually playing the game and being really good at it.
I don’t think I’ll every forget the horrors of the wintersday JP stream where they only showed how to not jump -.-

They are off working on the next expansion. As that comes closer to my predicted launch date of fall of 2017, they will come back to the forums. In the meantime, enjoy talking amongst yourselves for the next year.
