Looks like we’re bringing back the PPT train a few days early…

JQ full throttle!

Props to SoS and SoR. Right after reset and for hours, they were applying the pain to JQ’s lesser organised groups, repeatedly. We were forced to start acting cohesively, retake camps, DEFEND camps and dolyaks, and in general act like a true fighting force.
Agg, TSym, Choo and VoTF were some of the guilds that rofl stomped me, ouch.

The fun was too much, so I played for 13 hours from reset and crashed. PRX, SF, HzH were some of the rallying forces for my Borderlands. Nice job, patience under pressure.

Subjectively to me, the Q problem was orders of magnitude improved from the previous reset. Anybody else see things as better or worse than a week ago?

Commander from HzH here, and just like to add to the post ahead. Was a very brutal night at first not going to lie lol. Just wanted to say props to everyone who kept fighting the good fight. Was alot of fun fighting Agg and VoTF, didnt face Choo so much maybe next time though.

Nice zerg that just flipped SM, of course you could only do it while it was 2v1 and when our coverage was lacking, oh well at least we passed you points wise.

Its OK dude i feel your pain, We over at SoR server only ever lose to huge enemy zergs hacking whilst abusing culling and outnumbering us whilst being 2v1’d during our weakest coverage time with most of our wvw population fighting the grub, or else we would be 1st place right now…

I have to agree with you on this JQ from 17,000 – 29,000 in 7 hrs, with no resistance from sos or sor has to be rasing some eyebrows at anet. WVW is suppose to be a balanced game and everyone cannot say without being honest about the transfers, that it is in no way balanced anymore in T1. JQ was always competitive now it is becoming a joke , either anet gets in and fixes the balance issues or restrictions need to be applyed to severs or wvwvw will die a quick death.

Indeed but i think they dont want to change it, cause “wvwvw is design to be casual and spvp competitive” …
My guild already give up again from the game and this time i think its defenitive, everyone is transfering to jq or quiting the game, i’m sure it passed the point of no return

The band wagon transfer which is allowed JQ to have max in every map almost all period of the day is completely ridiculous. Skill can only go so far to counter sheer #s and hopefully ANet will see very quickly how silly WvWvW has become before like everyone here can agree WvWvW will die completely.

Sorry but not only is your “the-sky-is-falling” attitude hilariously misguided, your criticism doesn’t hold any water. Transfers closed before last weeks match, and last weekend I seem to recall JQ being down by 10k come Monday. JQ didn’t gain anyone since last weekend, so what exactly has changed? If you want a higher score for your world, go out and fight for it.

WvWvW is supposed to be chaotic and imbalanced. That is why Anet does not balance WvWvW in the the same way they do sPvP. They have stated this several times. In any case, last week JQ won by 60k points. Remind you of anything? How about the week of December 15-22 when SoS won by 100,000 points. Blowouts happen. Just keep fighting and in time you will find a way to win. It took JQ over 2 months before they got 1 win on SoS.

The problem is that there will be no one to fight

IMHO, There is zero point arguing about numbers or the right or wrong of players transfers choices. The game is what it has always been, that is all. There have been some great fights and IMHO, this is still an enjoyable game.

I understand that some players feel they should just walk away from the game and use boredom to sort out the numbers but I doubt that will help the game compete with upcoming titles..

I would suggest the better alternative is playing only the hours you enjoy playing

Last night we had some good fights late NA timezone to early Oceanic. My congrats to the JQ team on SoS BL that was using an interesting combination of confusion and necromancer skills in 20+ vs 20+ combat.

Lots of fun, wins to both teams and good to see variations in tactics used by commanders!

Really? Did everyone have this same attitude when SoS controlled Tier 1 for months?

This happens to everyone in T1, just at varying times. JQ’s weakest time is undoubtedly right now, whereas yours was earlier today. It’s no different, really. If we’re not meant to outnumber you at your weakest time, you should all stop playing right now during ours. Only fair, right?

Wonder how many pages this thread will get by the end of the match. The hype seems to have faded. Last weeks was flooded with OMG I got so many bags, good fights at some garrison.

Defiance beta is great, mmo fps and mounts are ATVs.

So much whining from a few individuals on this thread already. I don’t want to judge a server based on a few individuals but it’s just getting repetitive..

A few observations this week so far:
1) During first few hours of reset, JQ was the focus of both servers. That kept their PPT very low for quite awhile.

2) I noticed that some JQ players changed shifts. Instead of playing during reset, they’re actually playing during oceanic time zone (JQ’s weakest time zone). Very smart if true.. Playing 12 hours straight can burn you out quick.

3) Chinese New Years is this weekend. At first, I thought that would hurt the SEA time slot for all servers since typically they would need to eat dinner with family, visit relatives, etc during this holiday. However, I noticed some FOO and SEA guilds in JQ staying up really late yesterday. Some actually played to 1:30 pm PST time which is 5:30 am SEA time.

I think that is the biggest difference so far in this matchup. Checking the JQ recruitment thread, I don’t really see any large euro guilds playing in that time slot for JQ. Votf from SOS actually is the largest euro guild in that time zone. However, if the SEA group from JQ is willing to stay up that late, it gives a perception of them having lots of euro players playing at that time zone. That is something that SOS used to do – oceanics playing late to make other servers think they also have superior SEA coverage. And it is also the main reason why they were #1 for so long. Not sure why they have stopped doing that.

yeh it is a remarkably lethal combination against bigger and balled up groups… stay tuned for some more interesting tactics being worked on

And I would like to thnak the foo kharma train immensely for turning the SoS bg green, was a hell of a ride.. and fun zerging sos into the dust for a change.

Umm… just to give you some perspective, I went right into our JQ BL 3 hours ago. No Queue time at all. I queued for EB at the same time and it popped in a mere minute or two. Which correlates to the time when all the complaining about our number’s was occurring above.

Its about having big numbers on all maps, compared to having an outmanned buff. Its not just all about JQ its about the numbers they are going up against as well.

A lot of oceanics/SEA, myself included, are getting tired of playing till 2am+ every night just to mitigate the losses when there is a certain futility to it. Sure, we can go super late and cover euro and ask that NA do the same coverage but what will that achieve? perhaps SoS might be able to score victory one week but on a sustainable level it would quickly burn us out. Play for the enjoyment of the game, play with friends and for the effort put in by your rivals. Play to win, but know what victory means to you. For me personally, victory is wiping a FOO zerg or holding >220ppt during the SEA/EU hours. Let the chips fall where they may.

Anyways, the only date format that makes true sense is YYYY-MM-DD because it’s sortable.

My preferred format has today being 66574.6 though I do like 1302.09 format.
