Fellow Yaks…
Can we please show a little more virtual balls today? Normally I am always telling my friends about the tenacity shown by my fellow Yaks in the face of adversity when they ask about the W3 in GW2. Today however there seems to be this contagion running around where we keep backing off as soon as the opposing force gets a decent number of people to fight back. :’(
I also agree with you malose. One huge zerg prevents a group from taking multiple objectives and defending all at the same time. On the other hand, let us say that TC zergs us with 50-60 people in stonemist as they often do, a guild needs the ability to counteract this occurance. This is why GODS has developed a main group of about 30 players, a Special Ops group of about 10 players, and a Tactical Spike Team consisting of 15 highly coordinated members. On top of it all, I have 3 raidcall accounts that I place in all 3 of these chatrooms so that there is collaboration between all 3 major groups on the map. We took over 2 thirds of Eternal Battlegrounds this morning thanks to this strategy. Separating into groups that all coordinate makes battles so much more effectively micromanaged.
And for anyone who says that our organization is hurting the server, shame on you. We’ve been with this server since day 1, and I can remember a day when GODS was the only guild on the server that had daily WvW events that drew in more than 3 people. Yes, GODS is a large guild, but that does not mean that all of our members are all always at the same place, at the same time, doing the same thing mindlessly, and to give off the implication that we are is just a testament to how little you know about how we roll.

They also decided to roll server deep in FA borderlands after we took SMC too :o
MEANWHILE Yak’s Bend’s entire borderlands was red with the exception of some blue supply camps, and Tarnished Coast’s entire borderlands was green also with the exception of blue…

I’d hope to The Six Five Gods that our commanders haven’t and won’t in the future focus their efforts at taking down the second place opponent and cowering from the one in first in the event that we are trailing behind both.
Flipping Stonemist Castle to the server trailing farthest behind you is a very strategically sound decision to make and I agree, FA would have done the exact same thing in that position. But avoiding a Borderlands completely for the entirety of the week… es no bueno.

The fights have been awesome this week guys, I will enjoy the upcoming match up as well. Unfortunately every server has their bad eggs whom like to voice themselves making everyone look bad. I apologize for that but there is nothing we can do about it. Please note that they are a very small percent of the community and not all of us feel or act that way.

Great fights this week, and absolutely close matchup. I missed some of the action due to some other commitments, but had lots of fun overall when I was online. Lots of respect to all the guys, TC, FA & YB equally. Looking forward to another week of this!
Okay people, why don’t we steer this topic away from the bad spirited, name calling and back into civilized territory? Obviously all the servers involved here want to win making the competition fierce, but lets not go and become jerks about the whole thing.
Furthermore, lets not let this thread get derailed by a few who have no interest in this and just want to stir up some drama. Keep it nice people.

A bit hard to defend your borderlands when both opposing servers are blitzing their respective sides simultaneously and apparently unhindered by the other server’s presence in the map. Was looking for those cross swords at greenlake or redbriar so that we could capitalize and counter on a split force but those never turned up for some reason. o.0

Jk lol, I agree, it was still a lot of fun and I think everyone on FA agrees that it’s much better to have to work harder for these fights than just roflstomping the tier 4-6 servers. Especially been fun fighting TC and those crazy tower trebs on the keeps earlier in the week.
Hopefully we in FA can work on more intra-server communication andI’m hoping to see the WvW populations kick up this next week cause there were some really boring points too. Looking forward to the fight next week. :-)

lol, nah, more like real life one’s :P ! You’d kick me out of your group (although not possible since we’re on different servers) if I ask you to take me through fractals since I’ve not even entered it myself. “Get out you noob!” lol
Hope every server could work on it as well, we TC have our own share of bad apples, but oh well! People seem to get carried away at times!

This is the 4th or 5th time, beginning on page 1, that members of the FA server have whined on this thread over perceived double teaming and I think we’re all a little sick of it. Stop making excuses for having so much trouble on your border and step up your game if it bothers you.

A moderator has already said they’ve had to moderate excessive trolling. If all you want to do is post insults and antagonise people start a new thread and do it there.

FA – Protectorate of Aspenwood [PRO]
This week was rather even matchup, but I can’t say it was enjoyable. It was better than domination blowout FA had last week, but only marginally.
Here is why:
1. Very little action outside of EB, and very heavy zergs in EB.
2. Both TC and Yaks put way too much emphasis on fully controlling home borderlands, limiting potential battlefields. I had 20+ zergs show up to retake lone supply camps. This heavily contributed to #1.
3. Since FA didn’t do #2, the only non-EB game in town was FAB, resulting in both Yaks and TCs PUGs constantly rolling through our borderland.
I personally enjoy small-scale combat (no culling, plenty of skill) and it was difficult to get both Yaks or TCs to fight in groups smaller than 20 people. Most PUGs just run until they could mass up.
