After taking down the west tower wall with catapults you sent in a mesmer and portal bombed us with about 40 players. Half of us were dead before you guys had even rendered for us.
Heh, I was in that bomb and there were only 20 at the most. I know it made no difference in the end, but this is a good example of how things appear from different sides.
As a little explanation, the only reason there were that many YB in our BL was because reinforcements came from other maps after FA had taken Redbriar (with decent numbers – my guess is at lest 20 at that time
) and then went on to bang on the northwest gate of AB while also pushing at the south. You might have got away with the northwest gate if I hadn’t seen the contested waypoint and went to check it out. Some guy there shot me with a ballista.

Somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks ago Yak’s Bend had so many new players transfer to their server that they jumped from rank 16 to rank 11 in one match. That’s not due to gradually improving through learning and tactics.
From what I understand over the last few weeks the four servers people have been stacking and bandwagoning were BG, SoR, SoS and Yak’s Bend (although from what I hear people are now leaving BG).
A post from page 5 of this thread by a FA player. So now we have come full circle.
Here’s how I, a dumb random, see it:
-YB has not had massive (or even substantial) transfers at any point in our history. No one on YB has seen any new guilds
-YB does not have a huge non-NA prime time population. We have a handful of oceanics and some NAs who stay up late on the weekends.

-FA in this match so far has not had a huge non-NA prime time population. Last night when the maps went green they simply had some NA players who stayed up late (I saw them – they were mostly PRO with some Sexy, JPN and others thrown in)

I don’t want to cause an argument on numbers but I have a video of the fight and you guys had 3 or 4 catapults firing at the west wall with people also attacking the gate. There were way more than 20 people attacking us at Greenlake tower.

So to clarify, yes there were more than 20 people at Greenlake (with 3 catapults) but 40 people did not use the portal bomb.

YB folk less chit chat and more pew pew, regardless of FA deny’ing xfers in or just having guilds stay up til 4-5 in the morning on weekdays, their presences in OC time slot has increased.. Care factor of that is ZERO. lets just get our hind parts out on the battlefield and continue to kick butt, or attempt to kick butt.
Great fights are still be had in this match up, just pointless fighting them with text on a forum, when we can kill their pixelated bodies on the battle field!!

Last night’s fighting with TOG (+the other mix of YB players) was the most fun I’ve had this match.
Most of the night we were making decisions on what to attack based on what you guys were doing. For most of the Oceanic hours you guys were definitely getting the better of us (having taken most of FA BL and all of YB BL). I don’t think it was until late in the night, after we retook SMC, that we started to recover. But that was also near the time most of you had to leave for the night.
I’m hoping tonight is as much fun.

Yeah I have been seeing a lot more ET, and seeing red on the map again. Keep it up guys glad to see you out there.
Our evening/night crew is all about keeping our home turf. A LOT more activity every day with a lot of skilled people helping out. Guilds also taking ownership are sticking around what they claim and upgrading/defending them which is awesome. The other 2 servers can bicker while we keep our wedge of the pie visible

I wish the few FA and Yaks posters would take their bickering to PM’s. It’s getting ridiculous and petty from both sides. Enough.
I have had nothing but intense battles with FA this week. Thank you for the great experience your server brings to World vs World.
If Yak’s squeeze out a victory this week, we will get smacked down next week. It is a game of player numbers. We fight with conviction and pride, no matter the score. It’s a great server with very good commanders. We don’t yet have the numbers to be competetive in the higher tiers, but our coordianted play and quick response times have allowed us to battle effectively above our numbers.
We are a great server with a bright future in World vs World vs World.

No, those that curse do NOT represent the rest of the server, not even a majority. I spoke directly with PRO’s commander iBludgeon I believe, in civil tones and even gave pointers. We want FA to actually fight all week, and not quit. Most of us want a good match and care little for your tactics. Good players don’t care if a thief is invisible. He burns to death just as fast invis as he does visible.
In general, I do wish ET would do a little more than their own BL. It does get boring wandering around and fighting PRO guild, only to see GODS guild, or a similar green group run up to help. It’s always more fun when it’s 20 on 20 and then the other team’s zerg runs through and roflstomps both groups. I miss weeks where it was 3 teams instead of 2.
But, FA has really started fighting. It’s become far more enjoyable than Friday and Saturday. I hope that ET and their server drama fixes itself so they can field an actual threat before Friday’s reset. And that isn’t insulting, they just don’t have any numbers in WvW. I saw one red player in EB last night, and just didn’t have the heart to kill him so I let him run away.
