Here’s to a good fight between the three servers; hopefully there will be a challenge for all parties involved. As part of Ehmry Bay, I’d like to ask our posters to take the higher ground and show these servers that we deserve to be here – avoid inflammatory posts and keep it mature. This is Ehmry’s first foray into Tier 4, and we don’t plan to disappoint.

Well yeah. Friday night resets are the closest thing to a fair fight most WvW matches see though. Even though I never make it to join, I take pride in when my server does well before it zonks out. I’ll be on around 7:30am EST, save some for me!

Got bout 2hrs in and it’s actually a decent match

Too bad it’ll be like I said earlier.

Tonight was an intense opening match. Crystal Desert, you’re a force to be reckoned with, and Mag, it’s good to see old rivals on the battlefield. From Ehmry’s side holding Stonemist, it was eerie how CD took one hallway and Mag the other, and we were up to our necks trying to hold off both servers at once. That caused us to lose a lot of ground, but I’m glad our folks were able to rally the troops and take back our towers later in the night.

This was one of the most frenetic WvW opening nights I’ve seen. Let’s hope this kind of energy can continue throughout the match, and we can all have a great time during the rest of the week.

Everyone bailed in CD BL. /sigh CD sent golems at a keep with 10 defenders. We had 5 in lord room. Grats.

I quite enjoyed the 3 vs 1 trebbing foray his evening. Ebay you had a nice spot to siege us via trebs but we got our one treb built and….yeah….you really need better aim. I am not even that great at trebbing and took out your siege on the cliff at Star.

We even had a late response as our wall was at ~40%. Not sure how we were able to manage; I guess we got lucky. My poor treb was left with 10% health. I even got the pleasure of tossing cows as you tried to assault Hills head on. I hear your siege tactic worked later in the evening so good job. (We had all but given up the map at that point.)

I must say though. I have never seen so much siege placed…..all over the map. We were joking in TS about it. It is like you guys do not like grass and feel the need to trample it down with a cata or ballista. You guys actually place siege on the roads. Funny stuff.

Should be an interesting match for sure. Ebay you certainly have the numbers in US prime time so it is another week of the same old B.S. for us here on CD. I trust our Oceanic crew will keep things close.

Had some great fights out there in CD BL and Maguuma BL looking forward to this week and weeks to come. I know my guild butted heads with another, I hope we didn’t start off in CD on the wrong foot, i want to apologize again and I hope we can put that behind us.

Because of the current bracket structure and relative WvW populations of each server. T4 is going to have one of CD / FA / YB / TC fighting in it. The only other server close to Mag in population is DH and the rest below us we strongly outnumber. The only way to solve this is to either have one of those 4 servers migrate off a lot of people or have two T4/T5 servers fill up people to match them.

It’s not the fault of the matchup system. In fact, the matchup system is pretty kitten good excepting for cases where transfers bomb it (like EU T1).

Where can we see server population sizes? I don’t see the outmanned buff on Maguuma often, even when playing in our supposed primetime. Sometimes, I get the outmanned buff instead, depending on the BL.

Anyway, you guys have a mesmer that’s very good at playing hide and seek. Learnt so many new places to hide from him/her! We danced around a bit and didn’t get anywhere – we just couldn’t kill each other. Was fun!

CD is mainly an Asian server and you guys still can’t beat us at any time of the day. You guys are far far farrrr from being the best organized server lol

Mag and EBay met 2 weeks ago with another server that was in free fall when we rose into T4 for the first time. The result was a bitter week of fighting between Mag and EBay in which they thumped us (EBay) pretty good. The thread for that week even got closed once so there is no love lost between the two servers.

I meant no disrespect to any party by suggesting a limited combined effort against CD. For those on Ehmry and Maguuma, I believe that we have been a little overly aggressive towards each other. I’m not sure if this is because of what happened prior or not, but CD is benefiting because of it. As for CD, it is a compliment that I am suggesting this. It means you guys have taken and kept the lead to the point where you are beginning to pull away. I don’t want Ebay and Mag to suddenly become friends [though that would be nice ]. I’m just putting it out there that we may need to tone down the fighting between our two servers for a short span to get things back on even footing against CD.

You did not hold your keep, all you did was hold the lord room which is the easiest defensive position to hold in this entire game. A 10 man group can hold off a 70 man zerg in that room if they have a few pieces of seige and a guardian.

We let your remaining force go off to defend redbriar and we ninja’d your keep – if you had superior tactics and organization then we would have seen all of your remaining force move north to defend – but all we saw was you. And we promptly killed you and your keep.

You can hold one keep in primetime all you want and think it makes you superior, but we held the rest of the map and the over all point advantage. If you were as good as you say you would have held that keep all night and all morning with a skeleton crew like SOR did against us when we fought them – instead you gave it up without a fight.

This doesn’t belong here. Do not shame an entire community with your disgrace. Maguuma is a strong, respectable server [Edit] and deserve respect as opponents. You, however, sully their efforts and their community. Stop that.

Crystal Desert has massive amounts of players. Everywhere I look, there’s massive response, quickly I might add. I’m not going to lie, Ehmry Bay is outmatched. We can’t fight a server with numbers like this and presence around the clock. We need to get stronger, and adopt tactics specific to combating this server.

As for Maguuma, their strength lies in their community and their coordination, where they lack numbers they make up for in fun and capable leaders. Seeing as much of the negativity from Ebay to Maguuma has been caused or is related to the Goon Squad it is and should be easy to overlook the methodology of some members of a minority and observe them as a whole as a good server. Not all Goons are bad, it’s just the really vocal ones that like to ‘troll’ for the ‘lulz’ and other mockeries of standard human intelligence that I find unbecoming.

Crystal Desert is like a plague. They saturate with numbers, rapid response times, and bottleneck siege. If anyone wants to compete with that, we need numbers. Though from what I’ve seen from higher teir WvWvW, is that number 4 is pretty good to sit, seeing as any higher and it’s Que times of epic proportions and massive zerg lag-fights.

I’m happy to be teir 4, we all worked hard for it and every server here is a worthy opponent. It’s an honor to fight you, and considering that we all share a common interest, a love for Guild Wars (2), I see you all as allies in the game where your support of the game allows it to continue.

Competition can be fun. I wish we could all be drinking beers and laughing about this together sometimes. I could really use a beer.
