If there’s 30 dudes in a keep, and they notice only 15 dudes attacking, those 30 dudes aren’t sitting inside their keep any longer. They’ll come wipe you out. Just saying.

Actually 15 vs 30 is a really easy fight for my guild most of the time. We’ve got some important unit composition and after a little fake out here or there we’re set to run right over them downing five or so as the rest run away. With towers I’ll see people dance in and out of the doorway to fight us but this week that’s really not happening with the keeps (save maybe the one dude that only pops out while he has stability- half as long as I’ve seen elsewhere.)

Now, if we turn our backs and scatter they come pouring out of the place (this is the only reason I felt comfortable saying it’s thirty people- when it’s just arrow carts it all looks the same past ten players,) but these keeps have really been straight defense in the late night hours. If we keep facing this kind of turtle we’re going to spread the score before the Asians even come on just by having the towers that are too far from keep x and all the supply camps on the map.

Last night, my guild (and some pugs) was fighting some CD group outside of a supply camp. Mid-push, a group of Maguuma showed up and started fighting us (and only us). They were almost side-by-side with CD. After this happened several times someone in Vent said something like “Oh look, nice of them to team up on us.” To which another person in my guild replied, “No, we just hate each other, so of course they’ll attack us and ignore CD. We would probably do the same.” And we did exactly that about 15 minutes later.

Mutual enmity; mystery solved.

I was in a group that did that to a couple of EB at a northeastern supply camp. We wiped the CD next, because they were trebbing us.

So just now 10-15 Mags got into our keep in eb. No walls down, no gates down including water, and according to other players on, they werent down earlier either. Explain?

The majority of Maguuma does not hate EBay, just sayin’. Saying that Maguuma did X because of Y, doesn’t make it true. But you know, carry on.

Maguuma really stepping up their game in our borderlands today, while our unfortunate zerg commanders used all of the Garrison supply to build failure golems instead of actual in keep defense and then threw bodies at Cragtop instead of using siege properly. Scary day for us.

Had there been any EB joining in the fight we surely would have lost everything.

I guess someone thought the Mags might be able to break into our garrison in CDBL and possibly take it. A quick glance and I see 20 arrows carts , 10 ballistas and 2 catapults all situated in the inner keep. In comparison, I only see 2 arrow carts and 4 ballistas protecting smc lord.

That’s ridiculous that you can fit that much siege in the garrison. Last time we tried to siege SM that much we were unable to place siege anywhere else on the map until something expired.

Usually people have to plant spies to reveal how much or how little certain keeps are sieged. That uncertainty puts people on their toes and might turn the tide of the battle. Please avoid telling people which keeps are or are not fortified. Thanks.

Well i would, except for the fact they shouldve just let us in, and wipe on their sieges, but they didn’t so i think it’s funny that they defended really hard, with massive siege in the inner wall. I have to give them props though for great defense on their garrison. I can’t believe that maguuma has had ppt lead just about the whole day, GJ maguuma, i’m proud of u.

Nope. All siege are still present. I’m kinda conflicted right now. On one hand, I want to see either EB or Mag zerg wipe on that siege. On the other hand, that would mean letting you guys into our keep. I do have to say though, some of the arrow carts are placed in horrible location, rendering them almost useless.

Problem is that we decided to blow all of this siege inside the garrison, and then we took DB but ignored all of the supply / yaks / siege needed their in order to bash our heads on a fully upgraded SH.

So after we lose that quickly, we had no upgrades in DB, 0 supply and no camps and had to scramble to save it while EB and Maguuma take turns sniping our supply and our yaks.

We try to gain too much ground with the zerg too fast and ignore everything we have, so they can easily take it all back and keep us in emergency mode..

The equipment seemed to be in some really non-useful positions. If the supply wasn’t so high I’d think we’d had a saboteur trying to empty the place to make it vulnerable.

Well it was some fun fights on CD bl tonight, I honestly felt we shouldn’t have abandoned Dream bay keep so easily, but there was a greater plan, but that plan didn’t go exactly too well, so it was lost in an almost meaningless way i felt. But i guess it was better since CD would just treb it nonstop.

epic fight in hills keep in CD bl. wouldve been wiped for sure if it wasnt for our waypoint not being uncontested..

It goes uncontested for a second or two every 3 mins. And nice try, EBay. You guys are not getting into our garrison.

Such a nice person, using up supplies to build oil, when the supplies at the keep are low, refusing to run for supplies ^^

Another nice person building a golem at west keep a few mins later ^^

Yes i know deathdom, but i’m talking about the part where our waypoint was uncontested for about 5mins, allowing us to just respawn back asap and repeatedly just going in.

That was a fun attack sequence even though it failed at Garrison. I really have to say CD does a fantastic job of scouting. So much so that some hunter/killer teams should really be deployed around the main attack forces to keep prying eyes away.

I really enjoyed the running battle between Bay and Garrison in the CD borderlands while you were trebbing Bay. Your hammer and anvil maneuver on our ballistas really changed the entire pitch of the fight. In hindsight your team who sacrificed themselves near the front steps did an excellent job at holding us in place until your second force could arrive.

CD camped the jump puzzle in eb with around 15players at least, during 10pm-2am the other day, i was trying to get chest n went every hour or so, it was the same group of players, eventually i just gave up.

Ok, no more being goodies goodies. Kill every enemies on sight in JP!

1. When Maguuma shows up for those fights they almost always have the higher numbers of the two. They won’t show up unless they have the numerical advantage or catch us during the middle of a hard fight. (which is admittedly smart in and of itself).

2. Because of this it’s wiser to focus Maguuma, which is exactly what I had my group do, since they are the bigger threat than the remaining Crystal Desert and any infighting the two do only helps us.

3. This group of around 20 is one that is built from the ground up to hit us and then run. It’s what they did all night. They didn’t take towers, they didn’t take supply camps, they didn’t hit a keep. They concentrated purely on waiting for Ehmry Bay to push and then attacked us from behind every time. As well as ganking and reinforcements we had en route.

4. When I say they were built to run I mean it. The moment the fight was no longer massively in their favor they bailed. They would straight up run away and have thieves place multiple trip wire traps behind them. They would also send 1 person at a time to sacrifice themselves to slow down the pursuing group. It was coordinated, true, but their inability to commit and their focus on harassing Ehmry instead of warring for points destroyed their possible effectiveness at actually helping their server.

5. I got tired of this nonsense and got their entire group killed repeatedly. For that Maguuma group: I was the Charr thief who kept using infiltraitor’s arrow and poison gas arrow to keep you ALL in combat so we could chase you down. In combat with swiftness = barely faster than out of combat. It was my little way of saying “nah, no escape”. You should have just fought us, though I know open fighting is not a Maguuma strength.

6. If that group would have decided to take Crystal Desert supply camps and towers on the other side of the map they could have likely made 500+ points for Maguuma. Instead they just attacked Ehmry Bay repeatedly. We were the perfect distraction by pressuring Crystal Desert heavily on Bay keep.

Before I saw the pic I thought it was going to be Captain Germany, but then I remembered he should have transferred by now. But yeah, we’ve had that problem with idiots this week. People deliberately draining supplies and building cannons, mortars, walls/gates when they’re not supposed to be. Even had one idiot building cannons while garrison was under attack. When told to stop, he said, “you are not my commander.”

And then there are the spies but who cares.

It’s gonna be a long two weeks.

This is what I mean when I say, people assume they know everything. Other things could have happened that made the decision to leave, but because you can’t see anything else than what’s on your screen, you assume what makes you look good, and them look bad. Keep doing this.

Edit: There’s also nothing wrong with running when you are outnumbered, though, being outnumbered is a second nature to Maguuma so…. yeah. EBay runs when they can’t complete their objectives because we’re stopping them. No one flaws them for this, why would you continue to use the same plan to try to accomplish something if you are being stopped in your tracks? Quit, move on, or make a new plan.

Bottom line, is all server has jp campers, it’s just about who we see most i guess, and no offense but i’ve yet to see massive amounts of EB camping jp nor Maguuma camping jp, i’ve seen maybe 2-3 camping it, but not like groups of 15+ CD roaming around with sieges built, and mesmers to port you back up to safety if youre about to die.

I read this and it comes off as ego boosting nonsense….

What was the last score when it was EBay vs Maguuma when the other server was not a threat like CD? Yeah, thought so. EBay can run their mouths all they want when they’re feeding behind CD, but not so much when they have to feed themselves.

Yeah… I get that, I have nothing against camping the Jump Puzzle, regardless of which server does it. My point was that when people complain about any server camping the JP, they need to get over it.

Good fight at Shadaran Hills, CD. Your 6 golem zerg at the north gate was definitely a surprise.

To the CD force that attacked east keep on your borderlands, and nice move on the feint first to the southern wall for the golems to hit north. One of our members spotted the golems, but lost track of them. I had a heart attack when I noticed orange swords and ran and found a gate at 1%. I was the NOVA asuran mesmer that got steam rolled when the gate broke while I made a last ditch attempt to time warp repair.

I wish I could see the battle through but I had to leave. Good luck to both forces! I had a great time trying to figure out how you guys would respond to the defenses

I was one of the six golems that went in. I remember you looked pretty surprised when we broke in the front door like the Kool-Aid man going “Oh yeah!” It was a good fight, you guys held on tooth & nail all evening. We originally planned to keep the pugs up north on trebs & rush south with the golems, but then the pugs moved south for whatever reason after the trebs snapped & we moved the golems North. It was honestly very close when our golems broke down on inner door at 25% we desperately built a pair of catapults and barely got in. Good fights all around though.

Thanks, that golem feint was my little surprise You guys really had us raging for a while so we kind of had to “all in” and go for the gold. Really good siege defense on your end.

To the E-BAY thief with Bolt from the Aeternia ( sp? ) guild, your teleport/speed hacks spanning 1600+ range were extremely obvious. I hope that the people on your server do the right thing and report you.

I am a thief and the Shadow return on the Swords #2 ability has a range well over 1,600. I use it often for guerrilla warfare type tactics to get in and out of a large group for stomping out the lower health players. Test it out for your self before accusing others of hacks and I hope you didn’t use the report tool against him because it’s a in game skill nothing wrong with it.

It has been a good fight this week. Much respect to Mag for their well built gank groups (AoN) and CD for superior organization and teamwork (and numbers).

Back on subject, Mag and EBay was doing just fine till an hour ago and CD just zerged everything. hours of efforts wasted.
