This has been a tough match for us this week. The numbers have seemed a bit overwhelming at times…. But we have managed to score blows where we could. I can’t count the number of times we flipped East Keep. We never gave up and kept on battling, be it in the 3-way at SM the other night or by attacking other things away from the Zerg to try and starve your attacks.

It has been a well fought fight. Hopefully, the new week will bring some new challenges. I can assure you HKHS will be a thorn in your side

You should know by now that Friday is Funday and karma trains. Reset is in a couple of hours, the matches have been set. Don’t blow money on anything else but defend all you like.

The guilds that i see invade Maguuma BL the most are [naga], [rise], [LW], [kh] and smaller guilds that i don’t remember, i don’t know which guild belongs to which server because all i know is if your red, your dead.

But the most fun i had was with naga and rise, your relentless attacks, made it so fun. If you failed to come to our bl i was quite happy when we invaded yours and happy that our commanders chose to do so because honestly the most fun is during long sieges and long battles, not winning the match for me. Hope to see you on reset in a few.

This is my first full week with maguuma, and they’re a blast, since they coordinate so well i didn’t even need to join a guild to be coordinated with them, so i just made my own troll guild.

Yeah, it’s funny that you say pages of text won’t do anything, judging from the how you always complain in your posts. As I said, again, goon have already done things. I’m not crying because people are saying bad things about goon. It’s more of a cry because people are uninformed about goon, and continue to perpetuate misinformation. Informing, through text or actions, is a way to stop it.

That’s fair enough. However hasn’t been done and cannot be done are two different things. Your attitude is the single biggest reason it is not done. It takes commitment, restraint, and hope. You lack at very least the last one.

If you’re referring to my post, it wasn’t a jab at your guild at all. I talked to one of your commanders for quite awhile this week and am referring to some of the things he told me about. I know nothing about your guild or its reputation outside of that, except I see the tag often.

Unless that jab is toward your commanders on EB apparently. I clicked that link in the ehmry.com forums and almost drowned in a sea of delicious QQ.

Yup, as I said we are still struggling to get full cooperation going. We still have sides opposed and people putting themselves before the whole. No denial there. We are working on it. I personally am working on that one directly, yayz I get to mediate lol.

I am well aware Maguuma knows everything that happens on our forums because they have many spies there. More than have revealed themselves as always. Some of which are dedicated to sowing dissent.

I respect spies IRL for the risks they take which are great. In games however there is no counter, no chance of discovery if you don’t reveal yourself, and no way of preventing/fixing it. Video game spies are pretty lame.

I meant that I wasn’t going to upgrade/defend all of this coming week. It’s pointless. 100% pointless. Besides, I need my gold for runes.

Want us out of T4, eh? Personally, I do too, even though we’ll get our kitten kicked in T3 by TC because we don’t have the same primetime coverage as them.

We do know how it feels, we went against TC a couple times before we got kicked down.

Just keep playing it. WvW is for fun, and it isn’t like we have zergs going 100% of the day. You can still get some good fights in.

CD tried the whole 2v1 thing against servers that were clearly superior in the past. Didn’t work out and we suffered pretty badly in the process.

It’s difficult to develop strong play when you constantly outnumber the opposition, and you can’t blame them for simply moving to somewhere with less resistance because they can afford to do so.

I’ve heard that argument before, a week ago. That because they outnumber everyone then they never saw a reason to develop any other tactic. Which is just weird to me because it’s honestly not that difficult to approach something from a different angle. All those bodies and minds and not a single person can come up with a new/functional plan?

I’m not blaming them, there’s no reason to continuously fail at something. Maybe it’s because I’m use to not zerging around to accomplish things but I honestly don’t get why they won’t learn anything considering all of their failures. This is kinda why people keep looking down on players like this, if they played smarter, not harder, it would be a lot more enjoyable for everyone. But I guess that’s an opinion.

EsF is definitely their most organized and the ones responsible for the full capping of Ebay border later in this week matchup. Earlier they were full capping Mag border but eventually we started to get upgrades going and prepare for their assaults. To be fair, I do see a lot of low levels in their group, so probably they weren’t giving it their full.

See, I read this, and agree with you 100%. But really, you would have to see for yourself, they don’t develop tactics. Sometimes it’s really frustrating, when they continously throw their corpses at the gates of something they can’t take. Regardless of if something important is going on somewhere else, they’ll keep doing it. Ask them why? No answer.

A couple weeks back, when we were up against TC, a large group of them were HELL BENT on taking Bluelake. It was a back and forth zerg rush across ruins, from CD’s Greenbriar to (I think it was Yak’s Bend) Bluelake. We we’re being attacking at Dreaming Bay by a big group, so me and a few guildies call out that we’ll need help. What was the response? Right. Bluelake is more important, apparently. So we then lost Bay. They then CONTINUED TRYING TO TAKE BLUELAKE FOR SEVERAL HOURS. Did they get it? No.

The moral of the story, they like throwing their own corpses at a wall.
(May or may not actually be EsF. That’s my description of the general CD fail-zerg.)

“The zerg wants what the zerg gets.” I can understand that, sometimes Maguuma gets like that and we have to take a step back and realize what we’re doing. But it never goes on for too long. It’s still a bit odd to me, but if they’re having fun, I guess that’s all that matters. I honestly wish they were willing to listen and get better. How much fun would it be to fight against a strategical zerg?! That would make me happy.

Yeah but you’re basically saying is that they are more organized zombies than the other zombies. That’s not saying much. I don’t want to judge them by the few times I’ve seen them, just because of all the good things I’ve heard. But from what I’ve seen, they are only slightly above their brethren.

CD has no other server in the nearby tiers that can match their Oceanic/Asian presence. I’m sure if they had to fight a tier 2 level server with substantial oceanic coverage for a few weeks running their asian zerg will improve leaps and bounds. But the ratings basically ensure that never happens. Even in T3, TC and YB can only try to hold on to what we have (usually not all of it, even) when CD’s zerg rolls around because they outnumber us combined. When every week plays out like that there’s little incentive to up your game.

What I’m saying is there’s no reason to categorize an entire server as “zergy and unskilled”, even if you think their zerg is not of the highest standard. A whole timezone of players from a whole server doesn’t just choose to be bad.

No, I never said the entire server. That’s why I called out EsF. I don’t get to play during NA/Maguuma prime time, so I’m stuck dealing with Oceanic people and never seeing the real potential of our enemies. I play at a certain time and certain days, so I know I can’t judge an entire server based on that.
