This is why when CD go up a tier they get crushed because a server will equal numbers will just destroy them because they are used to having a numbers advantage to win and lack any other tactics.

You do realize we get crushed in T3 because we are outnumbered just like we outnumber you now.

Its pointless arguing with them. They ust keep assuming that we have equal numbers, but in fact they never been to tieer 3 and above to experience it themselves. Let them be delusional.

Oh and we took our loss like a man in Tier3, we didnt claim that we were better individually than TC/SoS/SoR or any other higher rank world. Unlike you girls..

hahah…Bunzy butt hurt and blaming everything on lack of numbers? This happens in almost every match where Maguuma are losing…er…I mean…every match Bunzy plays in. Apparently being the best player in the game still doesn’t make up for no one wanting to play with them.

Tho, if Bunzy is the ‘best’ player in the game, then I would expect that they would be in tier 1 – having been headhunted, or we’d all know of them due to their Pvp awesomeness/following. Perhaps they mean they are the best PvPer in the game. They are certainly not the best WvW’er in the game otherwise they wouldn’t be posting the tripe no one believes a word of.

There are a lot of good players on Maguuma. Unfortunately, they are misrepresented by idiots who post unfounded and ridiculous assertions on the forums.

I always think it’s funny when a person uses their1v1 fights as a way to judge a server’s WvW ability.

Maybe our more skilled players are using builds meant more for group vs group warfare and are actually origanizing other players and taking towers/keeps/castles etc. instead of running arund solo trying to win at “fight club”.

Think about it.

1v1 is definitely a terrible indication of a players skills. Class and spec play a significantly more important role on your ability to do anything at all in 1v1.

I’m always more impressed by sieging tactics myself, but to each their own.

A name I have not seen since Rift. You were a trolling jerk on the Rift forums as well, correct? Yeah that was you. You were good….I ran with you a few times…..but you were nothing special.

Now back to the important stuff…..

In my opinion this has been a great match. All 3 servers have given their all to the very end. No server has quit and there has been near constant fighting. I have had more fun in this matchup than I have had to date. That one 3 way SM battle was a complete fuster cluck but hella fun!!!! (Even though 1/2 my skills would not fire most of the time.)

There have been no truly oppressive zergs that I have seen. At least nothing that could not be countered if proper tactics were employed and people would simply listen Being a CD player who sometimes commands but more often than not runs in a 4 man 1 lady group……I am having a blast!

So I must thank both Mags and Ebay for fighting it out and making my evenings interesting. I say this not because CD is winning but because we here on CD are fighting 2 servers that are true competitors.

And for that I thank you. Best of luck to everyone next week.

So I wasn’t the only one that noticed we had less people doing WvW this week. I also haven’t seen Titan, Flit, and Hammie who I used to see often.

Seems to me CD is just scared of moving up to t3 again. So they slack off after a week of pvdoor and zerging as to not move up any further in the ratings.

well, when you’ve built a 50k gap after only few days, there isn’t much fun left apart from exp/karma farming…. to do that you have to let go some, and then recap…..

I think many people aren’t having fun in WvW, including Maguuma. For one, tomorrow will start the third week in a row with CD and that’s boring. A lot of our commanders have or are burning out.

It’s more to do that commanding is kittening boring and playing this game for points is also kittening boring. Press 2 at gate is exciting; hold 2 at treb holed up in tower is exciting; Press AoE button at tower wall every 30 seconds is exciting etc….

Everyone should quit caring about points. Go let the karma trains take turn flipping stonemist to power level all their alts to 80 then go open world PvP somewhere while the other bored karma trains put their noses in gates. Much more fun that way.

I was just reiterating the fact that all I hear is “well I heard this” instead of personal experiences.

In any other game, I can understand, but GOON has done so much for Maguuma, especially in terms of WvW and the mumble crew. It just gets really tiring to hear people (not you) talking about a reputation from what this other guy said about ten goons from another game five years ago which may not even be true.

By the same token the old saying “where there is smoke, there is fire” does bear some small truth in most cases. Stereotypes and reputations get started for a reason. 99.9% of the time when it sticks there is at least a grain of truth in it.

Even as a member of Goon you have to admit a reputation doesn’t stay around unless there is some reason for it. Maybe it’s some rogue members, maybe it’s a thing of the past, etc. But there is almost certainly a reason for it.

I too am in a guild that has a reputation. [PK] to be specific. So to is there a grain of truth in it. So to is the actuality different from the reputation, but neither is the reputation entirely false or unearned. This is part of being objective and working to improve things.

The alternative is denial or being privy to it while denying it and thus corrupt.

To make it more fun perhaps Maguuma should give themselves a chance of victory by focusing the chief threat. That should lessen the effect of PVdoor and make your stuff easier to take. No alliance needed as your enemy will naturally hit CD more often as well if you do not pressure them and defend your stuff.

No, you were wrong. We aren’t scared of the next tier at all. We just like to see interesting matches where all 3 servers are in it.

Our last fight in tier 3 was a blast. We were way outnumbered, but we did well, and never gave up. This week it’s nice to see the 2nd and 3rd place servers still in there giving it a great fight.

No point trying to gain a HUGE lead and making the match boring, so I personally don’t PvP as much with my main unless my server really needs him. I would love to move up to the next tier again, and even eventually hope to see us make a run for #1.

So maybe we slack off a bit when we’ve got a lead… but that has nothing to do with being scared of tier 3.

Our reputation is unfairly “earned” from a bunch of butthurt people who played EVE. I never played EVE, but apparently I’m still a terrible person because I have a [GOON] tag. Now I know you specifically may or may not actually think that, but there are literally people out there that do think that and will propagate their hatred. It is absurd how many idiotic stories I’ve heard of people flipping out just because they found out one of their “so-called friends” was, omg, a goon. If you knew anything about the goons in GW2, it would be that the goons that you probably wouldn’t like aren’t actually wearing a GOON tag, and also that contrary to popular belief, are more of a problem for Maguuma than other servers.

There will always be enemy groups in your borderlands, but 100% is an unreasonable expectation. Puggers do what they will. [PK] is currently the largest (debatebly) guild on Ehmry Bay and we attempted to focus Crystal Desert but from opening day you brought significant amounts of people to handicap our every drive at Crystal Desert.

After the weekend we were pretty tired of it. Push Crystal, oh here’s Maguuma. Rinse and repeat.

Even if you didn’t hit Crystal without your hinderance we would have had much more success against Crystal. They would have been hard pressed to keep too much.

Considering the numbers all sides were fielding Crystal Desert would have been hard pressed just to keep their keeps had we been allowed to focus them as we so wished. (assuming you were focusing them too) Essentially we end up attacking Maguuma most times out of frustration at Maguuma handicapping our efforts at hitting Crystal Desert with a force at least half as large as our own. People that could have ninjad countless camps and towers from Crystal Desert while we had the attention of their zerg.

I can’t blame your average Maguuma player on this. That responsibility lies with the commanders and leaders of Maguuma. You chose poorly.

Did you miss everything I said again? I said that people are hearing about the reputation through word of mouth, not their personal experience, and that they are talking about it from other games. I didn’t say it never happened or there isn’t any truth to it. The fact usually is, a group (less than 25) of goons did something “mean” so they determined that’s how all goons are and carried that hatred across the internet. This is usually the story. That or they played Eve.

Stop lying. If we ever focused solely on CD’s borderland, we had you pushing into our territory hard. The only way we could ever really take it to CD was to send a team into your borderland at the same time as to distract and discourage you from coming over while we weren’t home. I wish there was some sort of animated image of the map throughout this match-up. Most of the time you’d see a fully green borderland, a fully blue borderland, and a mixed red/blue/green borderland. Try not playing for second next week. It’s boring.

Guys…. (EsF) south gate of east keep is a death trap. Stop it. Golem rush if you really have to get into that gate sooooo badly. Nice job at getting four rams up almost instantaneously. I know it takes mostly numbers to do that but it also takes some amount of speed of coordination.

If CD has been playing alts all week that would explain a lot (karma trains and lowby zergs getting mowed down). Honestly CD shouldn’t be in this tier but they are doing their best to tank the match

To the AoN guild and also OG and HKHS, I love battling it out with you bunch. It was a good practice for my new and existing guild members and we learned alot from you bunch. Not to forget, you all are annoying as hell and are the best at playing the hitman roles.

We ruined a CD/EB dance party this week too, so it’s not like we’re innocent To be fair, it was a fun factor thing to just go in there and whirlwind everyone.
