Also the reasons the stats are manipulated in sPvP is for balance. Which is why you can’t get a 100%+ bonus crit damage in sPvP but you can in WvW. So no actually fight club does in fact NOT determine skill. It let’s you play rock, paper, scissors with the classes.

And the reason I know you’re mad is because your own server sounds like they want to disown you. lol

Sorry mate but IMHO WvW takes more skill than sPvP any day of the week. sPvP is a stale form of pvp that never really changes.

Granted you won’t find me at a Fight Club, but you will find me killing you + 5 of your guildies at once

certain things are made alot stronger due to all the food buffs/stats and its not really balanced. Its still at least a general indicator for skill

Frankly, anytime a single player starts to burn bridges of conversation and reason with “Well let’s fight club, that’ll prove who is right” doesn’t help. Archer I can understand the frustration of being ‘run over’, flowing between doing my own thing on the small scale to running with a large-scale group, to solo yak escorts and solo quags/ogres/dredge or whatever I tend to do it all. Frankly, I don’t see how it would be reasonable to suggest roaming or fight club to prove your point…which is the suggestion that all of YB has poor character.

Actually that makes almost zero sense, especially in the confines of a single thread do you make such a judgment. I don’t hold your actions or words in this thread as the entirety of what your server is capable of, I respect any opponent (trying to think of an instance of my err, nothing is coming to mind atm) and bringing a negative tone to a friendly competitive thread like this does nothing but cause flaming and negativity.

So, I humbly ask not just you but others here from all servers to stop, be respectiful and civil. Cease the retorts and blantant spam. Take it to another new thread somewhere else, perhaps label it ‘Challenge <insert so and so>’.

Back to the actual discussion, I find it interesting seeing a stronger presence from EB during the weekdays, just an observation nothing more. The score is also really tight as well, keep it up all sides!

Interesting that you notice you a stronger EB presence during the weekdays. Maybe its just this week or a lot of our old time guilds stepping up but we used to be known for slacking during the week haha. We always took pride in focusing on reset and having a strong opener even if we couldn’t keep it up (lol) throughout the week.

We’re not. Only one scrub is.

Poor Archer, I feel your frustration. My buds and I roam looking for small fights, we would even love a fight where there are only twice as many enemies as allies but we havent found any. No wait, me and my one guildy found 4 CD enemies at the Arah’s Hope supply camp..we thought for sure they would come out and fight us since they had us outnumbered 2 to 1…..we danced and waved but the four of them wouldnt chase us. After ten mins of trying to get a 2 on 4 fight, they started building ballista. They built 3 so we left. I dont hate them for it but its frustrating since every other camp we went to had at least 20 enemies just hanging out waiting for us to show up. How many people can a realm have to just have groups of 20 sitting around at every camp? And if our zerg showed (which is usually about 15 to 30 allies) enought enemies would show to paint the landscape. No fun at all I love WvW but sometimes it feels like there is nothing you can do but run with the masses which isnt really fun :/

Lol they cant come down on us because 1 guy is frustrated. It is frustrating sometimes…..perhapse its not said in a way thats easy to listen to but still. My first 6 deaths tonight were to perma thieves, the rest were to zergs. I dont like spvp, I like WvW but im not into zerg fighting which is really all you can do a lot of nights in this matchup. I dont blame the other realms for using man power, that would be silly but it is still indeed frustrating.

I could say the same for y’all. Three of us took Bluebriar on YB BL for 5 hours against several EB thieves, 20 YB, 5 catapults and 2 trebuchets last night. Some of you really need to sharpen up your team coordination and dueling skills. And all your thieves need to play some tourneys in the Mists; just Shadow Refuge and teleports do not a good thief make.

I dont think we have the numbers to beat you Yakkingtons or you CD players. We at Ebay have this weird population stuck between T4 and T5 with our recent transfers. I don’t think we’ll stay forever in T4, but you guys are only beating us by 23k so far.

I wouldn’t call that getting “crushed” or “terrible” and there has been good fights so far this week. Have you gone up against our PK/FTF/GH groups? Have you seen our roaming community? I think that is where we definitely do well. I know I have been having fun roaming and trying to score kills against your much bigger groups.

I’ll be looking out for [Vile Faith] Norns for sure.

I’ve fought some decent FTF from time to time, but your PK groups have generally been poor fighters. EB definitely has a good reaction time to flipping camps though, so props on that.

YB building arrow carts in the invulnerable zone behind southwest camp. Now, I realize it’s not an exploit to go back there, but building siege there..i’ll leave that to the mods.

The invulnerability zone is a little behind the arrow cart position, and even so the arrow cart is not invulnerable, so what’s the matter?.

Wrong, they are built above and on it. So what’s the matter? It’s an exploit, you aren’t allowed to build siege in a no siege deployment zone. I also took the liberty to report the other guilds using them, such as CL. And im not saying YB as a whole are exploiters so don’t even go there.

As for dueling, I’ve seen folks doing that, I find it disgusting. WvW is a war-type simulation. There’s not place for pride or gloating in war. There’s nothing for the single soldier to prove in war. If any soldier becomes famous or infamous through his/her acts, it should be through word of mouth of others alone, and not by his own boasts.

Tier 4 is pretty populous. Might find more what you are looking for down lower, there was just a thread around the other day begging for small roaming groups to come to their tier.

I dont think we have the numbers to beat you Yakkingtons or you CD players. We at Ebay have this weird population stuck between T4 and T5 with our recent transfers. I don’t think we’ll stay forever in T4, but you guys are only beating us by 23k so far.

I wouldn’t call that getting “crushed” or “terrible” and there has been good fights so far this week. Have you gone up against our PK/FTF/GH groups? Have you seen our roaming community? I think that is where we definitely do well. I know I have been having fun roaming and trying to score kills against your much bigger groups.

I’ll be looking out for [Vile Faith] Norns for sure.

I’m not going to beat the underpopulated server issue, it’s a very dead horse. Regardless of how true or not it is, handicap or not it’s part of the pile on the table of things for us to work with/through. Maybe it doomed us from the start, as the scoring system in WvW often directly promotes having higher numbers present for success. None of that is of any real relevance. As it stands, here we are, and we’re fighting. All in all, I think we’re doing fairly well.

As a solo roamer, my task is simple enough. Move about as quickly and stealthily as possible from one point to another, acting as spotter, informant, and if possible counter-measure on a small scale. Sure, my contribution in sheer point value is seldom ever going to be over +5 in one instance, as such is the worth of any one supply camp I manage to take. In the happenstance of meeting a player group more sizable than the 2-3 that I can conceivably handle with success on my own, my job then turns to using subterfuge and diversion to await help or by any other means lead that group into ambush. To even the odds.

In closing, any trash talk on my part aside, I’ve found you guys pretty worthy opponents over all. Sure, I’ve had some confrontations that left me wondering if I just killed a player far below my level, but this happens in any match-up. In any event this weeks pot is a far better one than we and DR had against Kaineng. Who literally pretty much owned the entire map round the clock.

Good fights today/yesterday, lots of fun in YBBL trying to push out Ebay and CD throughout the day. Two guilds from Ebay in particular who stood out to me today [GH] and [GF], very talented! And once again, I’m very impressed with CD south east asian crew, you guys are excellent!

That was one of our roaming groups you kept running into. Chances are they were training a couple newer thieves in how to WvW.

We love fights, so if the 1v1s are in the sPvP area then sure. Otherwise, we’ll pass. If our guys are in WvW this week, the match is intense enough that we’d like them to focus unless something sweeter comes up. Plus food/nourishment/boosters have a bad habit of throwing a 1v1s into build v build competition :P

Nice job taking Lowlands Keep back YB. We managed to break in there, but you pushed us right out after a good 20 minute fight. Good show.

Had some really epic battles last night against Yaks in Eternal around 1-3am eastern. I kept trying to go to bed and Yaks kept showing up with another golem-based attack. Finally had to switch to the engineer and bust out the Giant Charr Flamethrower to help push them out of our keep.

Someone commented in chat that it was like fighting zombie hordes. They just kept coming in endless waves. We were having to bring in supply from other borderlands to keep our stuff repaired, rebuilding the cannons and all of that. EBay did a great job on repairs and getting back to the siege after a lull, plus getting back to the keep after we pushed Yaks out and started working on towers only to have them show up at the keep again.

I think we pretty well kept them from scratching our interior doors despite 15+ golems though I noticed they had one interior wall to 50% at one point (not sure how that happened; didn’t see it).

When I finally logged off we had secured the keep, repaired the outer doors and got our two back towers and were working on the forward towers.

After 2 weeks of trouncing T5 and a week of getting run over by Kaineng on their way up to T2, this week is a refreshing fight. Scores are still pretty competitive too.

Yeah, we fought off around 15 golems last night in about 5 different waves at overlook, which was our only remaining hold and had no supply. Later, we fought off 2 golems trying to take Veloka. All attempts failed to take.

Kudos for holding out but that keep is incredibly hard to take when it is defended with siege. However some credit should be given to YB for trying to take it while it was being defended rather than running a PvDoor operation on it. If this were T3+ they would have been hitting it from SM on the outer wall and Veloka on the inner wall at the same time.

This shows the difference between their supplies and ours, CD and EB. >3< To throw golems like they are rams…

No I just call it as I see it, you want to claim victory on the fact you are “superior in organization” when in reality it’s just numbers. Since the last time we were in t4 we lost 6-8 guilds. How many did you gain YB? YB skill level is about the same as Kaineing Pugs, get real here.

We had lost a few guilds to the bandwagon servers (DB, Kain, Mag) that moved through us on their way up but we did gain at least 3-4 new guilds (at least two Chilean guilds, one of a decent size) since then so we have probably stayed the same or very slightly increased in population.

Thought you couldn’t put siege in invulnerable spots. Don’t know that guild and they are not part of the Yak’s Bend Alliance afaik.
