Good luck to you SoS – I have a lot of respect for you folks and it has been a blast battling against you the past few weeks. As a DB player who stuck it out through the exodus we had a while back, be glad you are ridding yourself / have rid yourself of the fair weather player and guilds and now can start rebuilding with quality individuals. The sooner you lose that type of player/person/guild, the better. I think you will do well in T4, but no matter what tier you end up in I hope its a fun, competitive environment for you guys.

SoS has become all PvE carebear. Pretty disappointing to be able to have only one BL covered and still be out manned in it during our supposed “prime-time”

All this talk SoS will settle in T4 is nothing but wishfull thinking and a load of BS a leaving commander spread to ease his way out it was to funny , Spent a lot of time in T5 they will wipe the floor with whats left in SoS really is nothing but newbs and 2 or 3 small wvw guild , SoS will settle in T6 if lucky as more and more bail , it really is zero fun out in wvw and that’s why we play, fun right nothing to do with server loyalty!

I remember how disheartened I felt when we (DB) kept losing week after week. Commanders stopped leading in WvW and started doing Fractals/PVE, a lot of small guilds disintegrated after people lost interest, being crushed week-after-week by large servers.

Over time, a few large guilds chose us as their home. One positive spark led to another, and we slowly bounced back. We’re still weak during NA, and don’t belong to T2, but things might change.

tl;dr: It will take time, and a lot of beatings. But in the end, it will be worth it. You still have many loyal, talented guilds… stick with them. Good luck, SoS!

Ya but that was when transfers were free , nobody is going to PAY to transfer to a losser , Its total garbage on SoS , even have a commander who runs from an even fight when we have the outmanned buff lol , its nothing but pv door now hit them where they aint

I thought I saw something where transfers are now free to lower tier servers. Was I dreaming this?

Reset tonight should be fun for SoS I know a bunch just sticking around to see how bad we get hammered in the new tier , then time to bail

& I think it was only to a low/medium population server regardless of its tier.

All NA servers are Very High population ones. They made a list of which servers the free of charge applied to. I believe the post read Medium population, but they had another post somewhere where it had an actual list.

With posts like this, nobody will actually come to your server, my friend.

New people often pick up this game. New guilds get formed daily. Keep fighting, advertising, and you will bounce back. I’ve seen our server do this before. SoS can do this too.

Ya well I have no intentions to lie to people just how bad SoS is now to trick people into joining a server that may or may not crawl back from T6 in 3 months LOL

All our experienced WvW guilds/players bolted and we became a beta server going up against servers that had 5 months of WvW experience. Not gonna lie, it was bad and being a player that was around for our tier 1 time, it was kitten hard to see.

BUT, we have stabilized and those that stuck around, shut down many of the negative influenced that would come in and troll about how bad we were in WvW. Crap like that just kills morale. If you stick through this it can be very rewarding but you must be realistic about what your server is now capable of accomplishing and as Calvin said, you will bounce back.

Being against SBI/CD after this reset should help as we are not nearly as zergy as DB/YB and are still relearning how to WvW as a server. Looking forward to this change in matchups.

I really feel for you guys on SoS. as others have said DB has been through it as well. Those are tough times ahead for you. They are also rewarding times that you are facing. When DB went through it we all became stronger and closer. Trust me, you guys are going to get close and a tighter leaner community will form now on SoS and WvWvW guild will see this a decide to join you. It will happen.
I just want to add that i have really enjoyed fighting all you SoS. You guys brought it when you could, rarely ever ran and fought hard. It was sad to see you become demoralized, again we have been there and done that also, i know how you feel atm.
But take a good look at those guys standing next to you from now on in WvW. They are you brothers in arms and out of struggle bonds are formed.
