New reset time seems to make a hell of a difference. :P

So, held darkhavens NW tower to farm them, and IoJ showed up in force, and got shown how DR rolls because kitten did you guys get wiped. Say hello to DDLG ;D

Well done DR and IoJ, in all honesty it looks like DH had no strategy for this reset (besides the “everyone runs to SM”) and we had to learn the hard way like last week.

The lack of coordination on our server tonight is impressive.
But we will get back on top eventually…

If we played like tonight on a higher tier we would never be able to recover from it.

DH, what happened? We (IoJ) have spent all afternoon in your Borderlands curb stomping you guys. Normally you guys zerg rush us and wipe us the instant we take Redbriar.

Well it has been a while since i have played on reset night and you guys in IOJ didn’t disappoint. We had a blast there as always!!

me: It wont reach the far right wall on garri, it was badly placed. It is currently hitting one wall though and Im making the best use of it possible. Might as well since its here.

“Its already hitting that wall, along with all those red names you see. You dont need to directly hit the wall to damage hit”
“Just aim to the right”
me: rolls eyes and stops firing above portal (:D)

Good times, hahahaha. Really, really awful play. People giving advice like they are experienced leads to very, very bad engagements. Ill bet you guys on DR and IoJ noticed some very.. interesting choices for siege placement!

Yeah I really had no intention to take Sunny, but I had massive amount of players wanting that POI and Vista for map completion. We saw that the gate was open so we said kitten it and rushed inside.

Feh… I want to play tonight, and yet for the first time ever I’m getting ridiculous amounts of lag tonight, with everyone bouncing everywhere, before running into walls, and then five minutes later I get teleported to a tree and watch a zerg eat me up.

Thats what I was wondering about. It seemed to subside when DH was having a “rough” time as I assumed many transferred, but now that we have had a winning streak, we seem to have many more that do this. Seems many are very used to winning without facing any sort of resistance.

Ehh, it may be semantics, but I would consider the “fairweathers” to be those that actually stop playing when the going gets rough. Maybe with a few complaints thrown in. I consider it slightly different, but got the answer I was expecting. Its more like “sore losers,” as they may very well continue playing and will definitely make their presence known, lol.

I just asked to confirm an assumption I had. Specifically, that there is an increase in the amount of the “blame game” after facing some adversity in a winning streak.

Eh, I’m going to wager that when I wake up tomorrow the map will be green as usual, but we’ll see. Would be nice if somehow we were all equal in points this week… (with DR being more equal than others.)

Our commanders that most people follow actually have real life jobs, so they were not able to get on until later.

Good fights with IoJ again tonight though! I much prefer an even amount of players and close scores, it is MUCH more fun! I, however, did not enjoy the DR/IoJ sandwich that kept happening in DH BL. :/

Score update…I like thoses 1s.
Too bad this score will only be around for a few hours and DH once again will be in the lead. The 2 hours earlier reset time hurt DH since most of the overnight team dont come on till 7pm pst.(4 hours after reset)

Also good show from DR and IoJ today. and to the Theif i 1v1 in DHBL between the 2 lower towers GG. I was that asuran guard that bow before you attacked me and after i won.

and here comes IoJ’s only hope of staying in this tier, a golem build cycle on DR’s upgraded keeps at 2am.

DR still holding strong at this hour!! Gnight/morning all!

Well, just woke up, decided to take a quick camp in the DH BL before I had my tea, and then I was interrupted by an unknown guardian from INC attacking me. Hoping it would be a nice quick easy fight, I initially fought in the circle, only having a couple of vets to still deal with, but while a pesky scout kept blinding me, I slowly began to realize that, no, this wasn’t a fresh 80 guardian new to the game (I suppose the gold armour should’ve tipped me off, but… eh, haven’t had my tea yet.)

I did wish I had the time to take a decent screenshot, though I figured it was a pretty decent fight, though it took rather long too, what with, well, guardian on guardian, and I figured he was more of a defensive type with his greatsword/mace+shield combo (and I was more of a defensive type with a hammer). After I fell back further to the south, at first I was starting to get the impression that the fight would just drag out forever, what with my offensive strategies not quite doing enough damage to him, and both of us getting to full health rather quickly. At one point I even shrugged and tried to run away, figuring he might want to call it a draw, though he was kind of keen on blood, and I suppose it was seeming like I’d lose, what with my health dropping a little further than his.

Perhaps luck played in my part, but I finally managed to get a nice combo worked out and hammered him down. I suppose I am a tad too nice, but I couldn’t really bring myself to finish him off after such an epic fight, so with a salute, I was off to sip tea and post a screenshot that has barely anything to do with the fight whatsoever aside from a snippet of the combat log.

So you’re playing for second place? Obviously the tactics of a superior server. You attack the larger population server and the one that controls SM (DH). Even now as DH holds SM you still double team us.
If you stopped double teaming us, this tier would be much more enjoyable for everyone. You might drop down a tier but then you will actually be in a tier that suits IoJ’s population anyways. So who cares? Why stay in a tier where you can’t compete?

I think you might actually be surprised at what will happen if you attack DH too instead of tunnel visioning us. IoJ does have better players then DH. This is apparent. You will compete better then you think.

ok, clearly IoJ is trying to lick any superior server’s kitten,correct me if im wrong. and with that attitude, IoJ would definitely not going to get 1st place in any tier. they dont realise the potential they had. some good guilds like MoW and REC pack a punch. its either u are underestimating them or you are underestimating your server’s WvWers potential or both of them. oh wait! or is it that IoJ is a server thats satisfied with 2nd place and cowers under the powerhouses? once again if u complain that u dont have enough people and coverage etc2, feel free to drop down 1 tier and guess what, maybe u will have some fun there or are you perhaps going to cower under other powerhouses in that tier?

For some reason IoJ wants to stay in a tier they don’t belong in. Will be funny when we both meet in a tier we belong in and DR absolutely smashes IoJ lol.

I came in here to congratulate DR, we miss them up here in T5 (<3 ADQQBsty). But after reading through this thread, I really wish I was here. The T5 thread is chalk full of mud slinging and trash talk that it just gets annoying and boring after a while, all the friendly posts get engulfed in the darkness and are never seen again. Yet most of the posts here look friendly and fun. (There will always be at least 1 forum warrior though)

Haha most of us miss fighting you guys as well, fighting good guilds like GH, FTF, and especially ECHO, those guys are my second family! DH will be going up, eventually. I think DR will eventually settle in tier 7.

I know who you were fighting, he actually lagged out. We talked this morning about this and he was telling me that he had a fun fight with another guardian. I guess he tried going back out there to find you to fight again.

Oh? He did? Well… I was hoping I did something brilliant. Ah well, good thing I didn’t stomp him, or I would’ve felt bad. :b

Fun time @ Greenlake Tower in DRBL. For those that were there, was epic!

Twas a rough start, completely caught off guard by the early reset, dont pay much attention to mod and admin posts here. They like to yell at me and i love to ignore them.

That plus we did have the wrong commanders out.. they were leading people to bravost and dane supply, while we were calling out the 30 man ioj dr zergs that were flipping klov/ WC + supplies. came down to a point where the only thing that stem the tide was a few pieces of siege.

Top it all off was the people at SM spamming the chat to bring supplies / dragging people to save SM knowing theres was was no supplies and point to protect sm at that time. Was raging at them so much that i literally thought i lost my voice last night, and i was not even using voice chat…… dang DH npc’s
