I’m really bad with quotes on the forums since I barely like logging into them to post but yea the guy from War got it right somewhat part of it was response to his post but it was a compilation response to all that was said before my post so it can be seen how its a little hard to follow unless you read everyones posts. To the [RAM] and [CL] Guilds of Yaks Bend. I also want to say that you are my second favorite opponent in Eternal Battlegrounds. We had an epic 10-15 minute battle last night at umberglade camp, I was so stoked when we held it (since it was fully upgraded) haha it was the best victory in weeks! You guys also do really good things with your zergs, even splitting them sometimes to do dual-pronged attacks. Very nice play I hope we can have more battles with the same intensity down the road, or join Maguuma so I have more Eternal Battlegrounds-based guilds to work with and wreck others with. On a side note, yesterdays exchanges versus you were more lopsided in our favor, it was very funny how you guys sat on that rock between umber and bravost expecting me to attack. I just ran my zerg back and forth and you guys sat there for at least 10 minutes watching. It seems that after you guys lost battle after battle you eventually all booked it out of Eternal Battlegrounds because it immediately became outmanned. I wish you would have stayed just for the epic fights. Nice job catching us off-guard at Mendons I asked for a scout, turned around and was like “INC!!!” but there wasnt time for my pugs to move, so it was an inevitable loss (but I did survive, yay). I hope you stick around longer next time just for the fun we could have in even more Zerg verus Zerg battles. Take care!

I am annoyed up to the highest levels with the borderlands bashing their Eternal Battlegrounds force.

In summation, the purpose for this whole section is to say that those of you who are die hard Borderlands veterans shouldnt bash on part of your own community of players, were all a team and sometimes we pick up the slack for you.
If only there was a way to privately talk to the only person (your guildmate) that actually bashed EBG in this thread.
I’m not the only one, there’s been others in other threads and in game that have bashed on ebg. I’ll admit that I did bash on them without even considering that they might have gotten better though.
in combination of better commanders, and learning how to listen, the mag zergs in ebg have definitely gotten better compared to months prior.
though in general, it’s still a liability to rely on allies to help in small fights with less than 5 players. with some exceptions
though i’ve been surprised quite a few times, a few matchups ago, there was this one engi i’ve never seen before in some no name guild that i can’t remember, coming to my aid while i was fighting 4 enemies, with just the two of us, killed all of them, but kept aggroing more enemies until our kill count was up in the double digits, but we were eventually overrun as more came faster than we could kill. he was a really good engi. and now i dont even remember his face.

Im the Tanky Guardian that is the first one to run into an enemy zerg. Most people wont push even if you tell them, so I lead by example lol, all that fighting tactics are great, but when I command I dont have the RE zerg that Ethersin has. So I really just command PUG’s who arent in TS with me lol.
So there’s a Yaks Bend gs/lb warrior roaming on Mag tonight and I’m running D/D bunker spec, so it’s hard to get near him. I just leave instead of fight him forever, so he invites me to group. I decline. He then messages me with an alt on Maguuma, makes accusations about me trolling (meanwhile he’s playing on Maguuma and Yaks Bend) the forum all the time and he’s glad to have beat me (neither of which are true), then logs that character off. I see him again and save a guildy from him, and then he runs, does a laugh emote because I can’t burst him down (because I’m bunker), and then it’s my turn to run when I’m waiting for cds, and he stops and spams laugh emotes forever.

lol this is a huge misconception that we always get regarding how many RE there are. During prime time we only have 20-30 RE players on, the rest are our servers militia. Many are new recruits we are trying to train up as well, I can admit that we are not as strong as we were during T2, due to people transferring out, quitting, ext. But we are building each day and hopefully we can bring good fights to WvW.

Right, and when I command in EB, I have about 5 RE with me and 20-30 pugs…lol -_-. For some reason our guild only WvW’s when Ethersin is commanding.
Are you the D/D ele that commands RE sometimes? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Im the Tanky Guardian that is the first one to run into an enemy zerg. Most people wont push even if you tell them, so I lead by example lol
Sounds like more of a pug problem rather than a Guild internal problem. It’s quite obvious when Ethersin is on though.., cause there’s 65 RE on Eternal at once. Hmm thought you guys had an elementalist who was high ranking and had a commander icon. Maybe it’s a YB person. Pugs don’t lead by example, they run in fear. Do what you can do with what you can rely on.
lol this is a huge misconception that we always get regarding how many RE there are. During prime time we only have 20-30 RE players on, the rest are our servers militia. Many are new recruits we are trying to train up as well, I can admit that we are not as strong as we were during T2, due to people transferring out, quitting, ext. But we are building each day and hopefully we can bring good fights to WvW.

D and P seem to take wvw seriously, they hop maps to take a quick keep and get that PPT. At least as far as I can tell. They were a big reason maguuma was getting a lot of points Monday-Thursday.
Its best to get some scouts on your BL and get a response force ready when “DER”-P/PYRO are out. You stop them at the first keep and they might seek a softer target.

I got chased down by 10-20 of them and once they finally caught me because of my stupid 40 sec rtl they /laughed on my body…. what a cruel cruel world. Even had one guy /dance but i dont think that was an xf guy. sad times in eb today

Purely anecdotal, but in my experience the past 4-5 weeks we’ve been matched with Yaks, not many of them will try to take a fight unless they know they have superior numbers.
They seem to have a more conservative playstyle. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But you gotta take chances, make mistakes, and get messy if you want loot bags!
