Enemy should think before acting.

Enemy run up to door, knock on door, offer peace treaty, offer tea, offer biscuits, no one answers … okay then insult in monty python fashion….

still no answer, have peak at hilltop to see little ones hiding, use appropraite seige or set up AC’s of your own to counter, then set up RAMS …

huzzah … keep taken, but they should have chosen a treaty.

Willing to pay for boxed expansion if you put legit GvG in the box $$

Lol, you can but it becomes a game of who can get the most treb built faster. That is not fun. I thought it was fun to be able to lay siege to a keep. After spending sometimes hours hitting it over and over to get them to use up thier supply. You finally get them staved get to the gate and have to try to either build a hundred trebs to counter thiers lol, or try to get catas up and wear it down over days while they keep killing your catas with trebs. They have limited the options with all of these changes.

You’re telling me, that they have enough time and people to get 4-6 AC’s up instead of just killing the rams themselves? Either you fail at ramming by taking forever, they had a kittenton of people and you were going to fail anyway, or you are talking crap.

Lol, it is not uncommon for a group in T2 to have 400+ supply in thier group. Insta building AC’s is common place. There are also places to build AC’s that cannot be hit with AoE but I bet you did not know that either.

in eu tier 1 vizhunah server got 6 superior ac behind the every gate, And they literally behind the gates , its impossible to take it down from outside. They got a lot of scouts in every keep and they making suicide rush to take down all trebs in few seconds. So now its just impossible to take their keeps. Lets be honest , its possible to adapt for such rules , but its boring as hell ! we dont need that. Better to leave the game in this case.
btw , when TESO release ?

p.s i know what we can set up counter arrow carts on some gates , but its impossible to do on inner gates when enemies already waiting for it.

Solution – before you flag the keep … lay offensive AC and take out their AC’s first … then you are strategically sound to not only place rams, but protect your rams as well. Or use a catapult, or a treb, or any number of methods to get their AC’s down, they aren’t invincible.

All this does, is prevent stupid people from being enabled, and it requires you to put half a rational thought into it.

i dont see the problem, keep the walls clear off siege, starve the fort of supplies, dont cram 50 people at the gate, set up catas and siege the fort… its called siege for a reason, it should take hours if properly defnded, and if it is, shift focus, hit something else lol, unpatient padawans im frankly just baffled at the whining !

Excellent now ac’s can kill cata’s on the ruins from briar. This buff to ac’s is the most insane stupid crap I have come across. The nerf to swirling winds is just as bad. Taking a t3 keep = only one option now 20 golems.

Sadly I am no longer surprised about Anet and what they do to this game.

Taking keeps should of been made easier not harder. Some keeps are not turned over for a whole week match up these days…..But yeh buff defensive siege, add in zoom exploit and hey you have no where to puty attacking siege.

But our matches only last a week.

If they extend the matches to a month this would be ok. Then we can just sit at a keep and treb other keeps for a week at a time and maybe take a keep now and then. Oh wait but the AC’s will stop that.

You must not be familiar with Trebs, let me introduce you to them. Set up a Treb on the vista and take down all of the AC’s around the south gate. Ta kittening da.

2) You have a massive advantage if you have a scout in the tower and can man AC to prevent a zerg owning your tower.

5) you can’t build ac when you under fire.

oh wait , 10 omeg golems for each keep , each day…. no way , better to leave the game than work for golems.

would be nice if the ac deals 5% more damage for each enemy hit, up to the 80% damage increase instead. Gives smaller groups breathing room to deal with AC while fulfilling its main function as a zerg-buster.

You want a fully upgraded keep with full supply to be easy to take? Man, are higher tiers really this whiny? Those of us in lower tiers are used to starving out a fully upgraded keep of supply and taking out their siege so they constantly repair it and lose it. Yeah it takes awhile, but it also took a kitten long time and money to upgrade that to tier 3.

It’s not just the AC’s that is the problem, it is the patch as a whole. No more swirleys makes sieging a keep with a treb near impossible. It will be treb, counter treb, oh wait you build a counter to my counter, im gonna build another counter and so on. So to siege down a keep wall you are looking at IDK 20 trebs lol. You can no longer ram because 5 AC’s will wipe anyone within range at any door. Catas will be near useless as they can just build a ballista. and you will not be able to get close enough to take out AC’s. So then yo ugo back and try to place an open field treb LOL. you cant swirley so that is taken out in 2-3 shots while you have to hit the wall 50 times with the treb. It was super easy to defend before unless you failed miserably at WvW. Now you don’t even have too.

Not too mention based o nthe wording it sounds like you cannot contest a WP anymore either.

I’ve always felt like defending is easy; it’s just inconvenient and unrewarding to do so. The arrow cart change just makes it easier to defend and does nothing to fix the convenience and reward problems.

Artillery is good against one person. It’s also good against 10 people. Are you saying anti-zerg mechanics should only be effective only on large groups?

It’s like AoE. You can choose to use it on one person, or you can choose to use it on 5 people. The effectiveness to each affected individual is the same regardless.

Yes, I’m saying exactly that. The anti-zerg mechanics should only be effective on large groups and support small roaming groups. Indeed that is the only good way to fix this.

You have a lot more time on your hands than I do I guess. I can recall many times trying to hit a T3 Hills for 4+ hours and then maybe get into inner. Then a lot of times another hour plus in tries at the lords room. I guess that is not long enough for you. Would you like it to take days.

You have a lot more time on your hands than I do I guess. I can recall many times trying to hit a T3 Hills for 4+ hours and then maybe get into inner. Then a lot of times another hour plus in tries at the lords room. I guess that is not long enough for you. Would you like it to take days.

Yes, that’s obviously what is going to happen, you won’t be able to take t3 keeps for days. I’m sorry, but do you read what you type as you enter it? The insipid arguments in this thread (on the first day with no proof nontheless) make me gag.

No, it’s like this. It indeed makes it a lot harder for zergs. But it destroys anything that is not a zerg. So basically now everyone has to zerg and zerging has become harder.

I would hope that smaller groups have a higher average intelligence than a zerg and simply plop down a catapult in a more defensible area, far out of AC reach.

I really dont understand peoples issues with catapults. Just stay away from the door until its open and the ACs has been destroyed.

All this change really does in terms of keep defense is stop stacking on the door, be it a 50 man zerg or a 5 man group. Rams become a secondary tool, not primary.

This interpretation is wrong, someone already confirmed how it works: 30 seconds of waypoint contest with no white swords, then white swords appear.

So you now have 30 seconds to WP before its contested LOLOLOLOL

No, it effectively destroys some of the better cata spots as well.

Apparently they hit the cata’s on the ruins to take briar. They will definitely hit the cata’s on the rock next to cliffside. Someone in Teamchat even said that they could hit the cata’s in the spot in inner garrison.

Its just great change it is anti zerg, if you stack up in a tight blob, a other team drops ACs in the field and quickly builds up, you are going to be sloughtered, wich is great, you have to spread out, wich makes perfect sense, lets see we cram as many as we can in one spot, as player abilities only can affect 5people, lol… its anti zerg if anything regardless of where

okey , lets make it clear.
1) you coming to gates and building counter ac , taking down enemy ac’s and placing rams
2) you spoted by enemies , they building counter ac and taking down your ac and ram
3) you building catapult far away from gates , enemies building counter treb and taking down your catapult
4) you building counter treb against counter treb and trying to take down enemy treb
5) enemies building counter counter counter treb and trying to take down your treb
6) you building counter counter counter counter treb to take down counter counter… kitten IT !
