I hear people get ascended rings from wvw chests. At what rank do you get these?

i got mine at rank 127

I have a main at level 151 (Bronze invader) as well as seven other characters between 20 and 50. I have not had a single ascended or exotic from a chest. I recall someone saying they got an ascended ring from a ~level 80 chest. That said, chances are it will be a complete waste and not have the right stats you want. Fractals/guild missions/laurels are a better way to get the ascended you want. The fact that I have yet to get an ascended, I don’t count on ever getting one that is useful.

Oh I see. Its random. that’s a shame cause I lack playtime to get into high fractals.

i got one first week of ranks. i think it was a bug and got ninja fixed soon after.

You can get them in any of the chests from rank 6 on.

What is the drop chance then? Because I’ve gotten like 100 chests between patch and now on various chars and haven’t had a single one. But when I run fractals about 1 in 4 has a ring (and those are infused).

Same. Over 90 ranks archived and more than 80 greeens from chests -_- Other was golds.

Drop rate is kind of low if you ask me. Can’t figure out why PvE give more rings than real playing.

I’ve got 2 so far, but not for awhile now, over 40 ranks

In 150 or so total ranks across all the toons, I have at least two ascended and four so exotics. Lots of rares.

Then again… I’m also the guy who nets 10+ dyes a day.

It’s entirely RNG..I’ve gotten 70+ chests, and so far Ive only gotten greens.

This should work like fractals and have a rank level gate. Once you reach a certain rank, the chest should have a much higher chance to produce ascended rings for level 80s with no more than 1 ring daily. I can run fractals for 10 days and be guaranteed 1 ring of my choice, plus 3-5 random rings. And, that’s if I only run one daily level 10 fractal. Yet, people who WVW have to play for 25 days to be guaranteed 1 ring, and based on this thread have less than 1% chance to get a ring on rank up. None of this would have mattered if anet would have just kept the stats as they were. It’s not like the extra stats mean anything in fractals.

Luck. Sme have it. Most don’t. Shame there no way we can get them in wvw in any kind of reliable manner without dropping laurels or ectos.

Sometimes I really wish I was the kind of player who hates wvw and loves dungeons/fractals. You just so much more for doing the things you enjoy if you PvE.

yeah.. a guildie got ascended weapon chest from a WvW rank chest. too bad he can’t choose the stats, but well, better than nothing.

the chance is very low indeed….

i know 1 guy who got ascended weapon on the first day. nothing since that

Combined Ranks: around 1300, 2 of my highest toons are just under rank 600
+ about additional 200ish bonus chests from when rank system was implimented, for a total of about 1500 rank up chests.

Ascended pieces total: 4, 2 rings and 2 accessories

Out of that 1 accessory is usable, rest are PVE stats, which are garbage for me in WvW.

it’s wvw, learn to live with the fact, that you are playing a gamemode which is the redheaded stepchild of it’s developer.

on a sidenote, perhaps a-net could come up with a gemstore booster, that increases chances of rares in Rank-chest, say for 2500 gems a pop.

Rank 126 on my main, Rank 90 on secondary, Rank 50 – 75 on another two characters – Not a single ascended drop. Guild mate has had 5 drop in three weeks.

I got an ascended armour from the chest. Too bad it was pre defined and useless stats to me, i’d rather choose my stats with such a terrible drop rate. What are the odds I will even see one again, with the stats I need.

571 Ranks…1 Ascended armor Chest 1 ascended ring…….so Id say the chance is about 1/260

I’ve got 1 Ascended Ring and that’s it.

I don’t get why PvP is lowest reward in the game. Come on, it’s the hardest thing there is to do, reward it properly.

Over 120 ranks across 3 characters. 0 Ascended chests. Fix reward disparity Anet, this is absolutely terrible. I have gotten 1 Exotic, and maybe 5-8 Rares. To contrast, If I played PvE, I would be getting 10+ Rares every. Single. Day. Not to mention a couple of Exotics a week.

800 ranks across 2 characters. 0 weapons. 0 rings. 0 armor chests. 1-2 exotics.

I’ve had 1 ascended ring in 900+ rank boxes

I’m not even rank 50 and I got my Ascended Longbow from a bonus chest somewhere in the 30s. It’s the only reason I actually have one.

Almost 900 rank boxes and no ascended. I have never gotten an ascended or precursor drop. I have made over 20 million karma and 20k badges though… useful!

I’ve gotten three ascended rings so far.

I know one guy that has gotten several rings and 3 ascended weapon chests (he is like rank 300). I am rank 490, not a single thing. Gotta love RNG

Around 2000 rank chests, 2 rings and 1 armor box.
