Can you add a new WvW Currency plz

Don’t give them any (bad) ideas, there is enough currency in the game already.

Why? Because then you will need 3 currencies to buy something. If there will be ascended back packs in WvW, you would need laurels +badges/globs/new currency.

Main problem is: You can get badges from AP chests. And you can buy all stuff without badges(sieges from trading post).
I’ve got to chime in as a “nay” vote. This game already has a ridiculous amount of currencies. IMO, we should run with just:
*Karma
*Gold
*Badges
*Laurels – but only because they’re not going anywhere at this stage.
*Tokens – I’m kinda iffy on these, and half think we could fold them/Badges together, and set up EQ buys by Level. But YMMV.

What they could do: Remove badges from AP chests. Make siege blueprints account bound.
And add: Upgrades for badges + karma so you would not have to waste your gold. Would especially help weaker servers where there are not that much PvE farmers financing the upgrades.

I like the siege blueprints as they are. You can send/receive them to people who need ‘em/people who don’t want them.

As the person, who drops quite a bit of siege, I agree. Although siege prices at TP are too low if you ask me.

I kinda wish they were lower, haha. I drop a fair bit myself and as a recent commander + ascended weapon has left me short on funds.
I mean though that’s a supply/demand thing. If we were to cut into their supply, maybe remove them from jump puzzles? I imagine a lot of unwanted siege shows up that way.
We already got a currency Badges of Honour, no need for another…

But you devalued wvw’s one curreny when you give every pve’r thousands of badges. Because of that we can’t even salvage wvw armor/weapons or throw them into the forge

They need to make badges more valuable.
Why aren’t more skins made available via badges?
Why can’t we buy PvP oriented food and oil buffs with badges?

they want to make bloodlust meaningful and not have as large an impact on things? Leave the stomp mechanic as players are fine with that. But make vendors available that have more and more items depending on how many stacks of bloodlust you have.
Each bloodlust you have will spawn a vendor. 1 will give you access to a vendor with weapon skins (like the PvE dungeons skins for example). 2 will give you access to a vendor with armor skins (again, PvE dungeon skins). 3 will give you access to the food and oils, and laurels.
If you want to add more ‘skill’ to this, make the vendors spawn in SMC.
I’ll pay 2000 badges + 50 laurels for a Gift of Zhaitan.
The PvE people really don’t have to WvW anymore for a Gift of Battle, since badges are in the achievement chests (and you can map complete w/out participating in any fights).

It’s more confusing with more currencies.
Right now when you kill someone you get
1. badges – for gear, siege
2. gold – for repairs, gear, siege, consumables
3. WXP – for ranking yourself up
4. achievement daily track towards Laurels – for gear, siege, random junk
5. crafting materials – for gear, consumables
6. skill points – for mystic forge, which includes making gear and superior siege
When you take an objective you get
1. karma – for gear, random junk, crafting materials for consumables
2. gold – for repairs, gear, siege
3. WXP – for ranking yourself up
4. achievement track towards Laurels – for gear, siege, random junk

I think people should be able to earn a “GW2 currency” however they want to play the game,
They should just make Karma the main currency for everything and get rid of a lot of other things. Such as make Karma vendors that sell new world event gear, wvw gear, ascended gear and everything else. Just make unlockable vendors for each world event and perhaps ascended gear—make new stuff and ascended worth a lot of karma so players can choose where they want to spend it. I have so much karma right now and nothing to do with it.
Actually I think reducing number of currencies (or keeping it as it is) is really good idea. We already have so many (most of the time) useless currencies.
Pristine Fractal relics being the most obvious one (why we still cant trade ascended trinkets or neckleses for them?)
Karma being another (I dont think introducing jewel boxes was great fix, It just got rid of tons of karma, didnt make it any more tempting)
Badges of honor become a little bit more useful some time ago, but than again we were literally FLOODED with them.

Perhaps removing karma entirely (the original idea behind it is nice, but it currently has no meaningful purpose, and technically, unlocking akrma merchants for saving them is already a karma situation by itself), and fusing dungeon/ fractals tokens into a single one (or none), in a way that would still require players to run each dungeon for each specific armor.

Indeed, I was a little jealous that PvE players could get their gift of battle from achievements and yet I had to endure several runs of CM for my gift of the noble.

Having killed over 1 million bunnies in WvW , if bunnies could make golems I guarantee they will come after me.

They need to make renown and badges more useful. Basically, allow them to be used to buy the top stat gear.

We should make Karma a currency only obtainable in WvW.
Afterall, wvwers have too much karma and pvers are constantly whining about the slow gain of karma. Let’s just remove karma gain entirely from pve. We get more people in wvw(disrupts the stacked servers, helps the lower population servers).
Then build a whole new set of rewards using karma and badges of honor in wvw.
