Cannot get my Season 2 reward
I am still waiting on season 1 reward because of the same problem.
Did you get the option “Can you see if I am awarded a chest” the first time you looked? Because it took a few minutes after the patch for that to show up.
I never posted on this rewards delay issue earlier since I understand that coding issues can happen, but this is just …..

It may be worth it to check again now that people are claiming their rewards, just in case.

I didn`t transfer, I was on Deso and still are, i did my Achiements and still i dont get a chest?

I transferred from NA to EU yesterday, got my 250 tickets there aswell. Now i do not get the option to retrieve the chest either on EU server… I mean, do i have to wait 7 days and pay for a transfer for something that wasn’t even my fault in the first place?
Fix this now please or clarify what needs to be done.
The only thing i can do at the Battle Historian is buy weapons which ofc i cannot do since my 500 tickets are void and i cannot reclaim them…
could you please also inform us if the issue with season 1 reward key without chest is solved? We are waiting for months for this to be fixed.

AFAIK the NA and EU instances are two different databases. When you transfer to EU from NA, your account data exists on both databases but only one copy is the “live” version (you can tell from seeing your account now on both the NA and EU achievements leaderboards). Probably because the EU servers are different, they cannot copy the NA rewards data for your account to the EU instance. The game has little idea which server you are associated with for rewards purposes then unless you transfer back to NA sooo…. they should make transfers free for you who are affected. Good luck.

I played Season 2 on a NA server (which had been my server for last 16 months). After the Season 2 ended, I got my chest and I transferred to EU. Then on June 3rd we came to know that Arena Net ran into some problems and will not be enabling us to get our rewards. Now, 14 days later, when I went to WvWvW and talked with Battle Historian and got no rewards. Now I am stuck with 500 voided WvWvW Tournament Claim Tickets and 100 tickets that I got in my mail, for no fault of my own. GG

Pretty much, i mean i don’t want to be punished for non-existance of bugged NPC. How their database works is none of players’ concern.
If there is a possibility to transfer back to my old server and pick up my tickets and then transfer back then it would be reasonable, otherwise its a complete mess.
Why there is a workaround solution that came with patch is nothing i can affect, however all i know is that i have 500 void tickets and i cannot get new tickets from NPC.

What really irritates me is the fact that this was a KNOWN bug from season 1 rewards yet you did not fix it and let alone did not make a WARNING statement about it.

have the same problem i move for 3 Days to NA and play the meta on EU server i cant spend this much money for this and i have to wait now 4 days to transfer back thats …..

File a support ticket. You are a continually paying costumer (you just bought $100 worth of gems – more than most players will ever spend) and you deserve much better support than just “transfer back” like it’s free or something.

Submit a support ticket and explain how ANET were not clear about situations like yours (e.g. even if the Historian was out on June 3rd would transatlantic transfers have been able to claim the rewards at their new server?).

I hardly believe that was a developer’s response, more of a community manager, nevertheless very irresponsible one.

About time, I have been wanting a response like this 6 months ago for my season 1 reward…
Made my ticket straight away when i noticed the bug, hope it’s fast resolved lol
The rewards work….it would have been a good idea to put some clear instructions in the mail tho.
- When u login u receive through mail the 100 BONUS tickets.
- To get the other tickets u won via participating at the tournament you have to go to any WvW map, talk to the rewards NPC (usually he is in the middle of the area just in front of where u teleport).
- When u talk to him, the very first option is to check if u are eligible for tickets. Hit that and a chest will appear just like for dailies.
100 tickets sent by mail and chest reward forgotten. What the patch was?

TL;DR: Please do the following only if you have completed the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 meta-achievement:
- Check your in-game mail for 100 new Tournament tickets.
- If you don’t have this mail, skip the remaining steps and submit a ticket.
- Speak to the Battle Historian in-game, and note the world you’re Associated with in your chat window in yellow text.
- If you don’t see the world you expected to see, post here and/or submit a ticket. Go no further.
- Use the first conversation option to claim your tournament tickets.
- Enjoy spending the tickets as you please.
Issues with either not receiving the new Tournament tickets, or receiving a wrong number, are related to world Association for the purposes of WvW Spring Tournament 2014. Part of the problem is a cross-datacenter limitation (more on this later).
Here’s exactly how Association worked for this latest tournament, and why it can have the effects some of you are seeing .
For WvW Spring Tournament 2014, this is how Association scoring worked:
- Load into a WvW map for the first time that day: Gain 1 Association score for your current home world.
- Complete any achievement that contributes to the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 meta achievement: Gain 2 Association score for your current home world.
Your main Associated shard is then the one with the highest score within the current datacenter. That last part is the caveat that’s preventing some tournament rewards from being issued. Or in some cases “wrong” rewards (working as intended, but not desired, and certainly not clear). Auroma.9126, it sounds like you have 0 Association in the EU datacenter, so the servers there can’t give you rewards, since they don’t see any non-zero Association scores for worlds in that datacenter. In other cases, if a player transferred mid-tournament and has Associations in both datacenters, their rewards will be bound to the most-Associated shard within the datacenter when they talk to the Battle Historian to get the new tournament tickets. This is the intended behavior for this tournament, but has been confounded by issues with Association getting locked-in prematurely.
Some rewards were incorrectly granted too early. When rewards are given, your most-associated world is locked-in at that moment. This applies even if you change datacenters. Your Association scores can still change, but your one true Association for that tournament is still the one from which you received rewards. With the fix that went out on June 17th, that lock was reset, resetting your most-Associated world to whichever one has the highest score in your current datacenter, until talking to the Historian and getting the rewards locks/locked it in again.

Some additional information for the technically-inclined.
An interesting combination of two bugs affected this tournament, causing those premature rewards and Association lock-in. One new from our work on the tournament, one very old that never showed itself before, because nothing else happened to hit just the right case before this tournament. The old one is of a sort that’s very rare to catch (so I’m glad we now know it exists, so that we can fix it). A timing issue on cross-server communication would sometimes cause some maps to, for just a few seconds to a few minutes, have one particular time-related variable set to many years in the future (well beyond the end of the tournament). This then caused some players to be granted a tournament placement achievement prematurely (the “1st place”, etc. achievements with rewards attached).

So, after the initial achievement I got my 500 tickets which was correct (first place), now i have been given 100 tickets and the initial 500 are voided!! What is going on ANET??
Your 500 tickets will be available from the battle historian.

Clearly it is your own fault as you said you got your tickets and switched servers. Before you have done that you should have waited and checked if other had gotten their chest, but no you didn’t and come onto the forum to post your mistake of instantly switching servers.
To be fair, no one expects to not get the season rewards due to transfers post-season. There is no way to expect it since the underlying game architecture is only understood by Anet.

Totally disagree. Anet didn’t mention that our old tickets would be voided. I got my tickets 3 day after the end of the tourney, then i transfered. So I waited.

I am not sure if you are serious or just trolling.
1. I got my reward chest after Season 2 ended, just like I should. I am no quality tester for Arena Net and it is not my job to find out that Arena Net was able to reward every player accordingly. But I do understand that coding errors can occur that is why I never posted on the rewards delay issue, because in mmorpg development stuff can happen. Some people still have not received their Season 1 reward chests.

Then we were informed that “While the World vs. World team investigates an issue with tournament reward chest distribution, we are temporarily delaying access to the rewards that would have otherwise been available on the Battle Historian on June 3rd. We hope this will help prevent further compounding the issue, and avoiding unnecessary confusion while we work to resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience. – Mark Katzbach”. Again in this post, it was no where mentioned that those people who got their tickets normally would have them cancelled, what was mentioned was that the rewards NPC was disabled. So when the issue is sorted he will be enabled again, when meant I would be able to use my tickets to buy what I like.
3. There are many other bugs and issues which took a very long time to fix. If I wait for every bug/issue to be fixed before I make my move then I will never be able to make it. For example, some players still have not got their Season 1 rewards. I do like to be aware of the game, but it is not my job to be a quality tester. Again I am not blaming Arena Net, since in mmorpgs coding is complex due to immense size and inter-connectivity of everything. I am happy that most people were able to get their Season 2 rewards after this June 17th update.
I am a solution oriented person and that is why I decided to bring this issue into attention of ArenaNet, so we can work towards a solution.
