so i wonder if everything else will still damage rams through gates, and if everything not a ram will still be damaged by catapults through gates.
guess we’ll find out the answer to these questions and more soon.

Hmmm, how would you defend if AC’s could not hit rams? Is there an exploit I am not aware of? I can think of a few spots that are probably not intended.

You can simply shoot the AC at the gate, and it will hit the rams on the other side, not unlike the cata.

Arrow Carts shoot above and over gates/walls so…no they will not fix them shooting through a gate because they…don’t.

Ugh. That is the end of golem rushes then. They will be dead before long before they can do enough damage to be worth the cost.

these + timewarp nerf are nice….(i use a mesmer .-. also).
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

There were less notes but an entire WvW progression system is a huge change. Removing culling is a huge change. Those are just 2 notes.

Culling is one of the biggest fixes this game has seen, and is primarily a WVW benefit… and your complaining its not big enough? You have any idea the amount of work it would have taken to roll this fix out as is?

a dev dropped a comment on that in the thief forums…
Something along the lines of the changes being deemed too extreme and unpredictable in comjunction with culling fix, so they settled for the 1 sec revealed increase instead.

They shouldn’t have done anything with PvE, or sPvP. Instead all the time should have been on WvW. They’ve been working on the other two for MONTHS ignoring WvW.
Half of what they hinted at being in this patch, IS NOT.
It’s not like culling could have been any harder than creating the entire array of Fractuls, and the multiple world events, and holiday events they’ve done for the PvE crowd, or the new sPvP maps, and such.

Grenade Kit skill: Grenades no longer require the player to have line of sight of the target area to throw them.

How does no culling + longer revealed debuff allow stealth abuse to continue…?
Every thief in the game will be visible for a minimum of 4 seconds when they come out of stealth to attack. If they’re not attacking, I couldn’t care less if I can see them or not.
If you cannot burst/stun a thief to death in 4 seconds then stealth is not why you’re losing.
I sincerely hope that new world pvp experience/title thing takes into account past work and not start everyone off at bare bones. That’s just be a slap in the face to all the people who have made a ton of progress already.

Do people even use portal bombing (especially successfully) these days?
I am talking about the annoying ones that do nothing, just c&d c&d with the occasional real attack. They don’t get the revealed debuff so no dps in 4 seconds as you say…
Yeah they don’t do anything, but if they are in a tower and you don’t have a large population server to afford enough people to stay in the tower to carpet aoes/ wait around for him to get bored or attack the guards, they will just run around taping the idiotic npc’s and archers.

Before putting in free transfers again, I wonder if Anet took into consideration the issue with free transfers, and how a mass transfer to Kaineng disrupted PvP/WvW for many servers as they made their climb from Tier 8, giving many servers weeks, upon weeks of interruption, that left a very bad taste in the mouths, even causing many to quit.
It’s bad enough we didn’t get the WvW patch many of us expected.

Perma stealth remains – good for scouting, but no more jumping in and out of stealth every sec :P

Wrong. The most annoying thieves are the Dagger Off-Hand thieves. This nerfs their stealth capability considerably and makes it easier to kill or stun them before they can stealth again.
Pistol-offhand thieves can still maintain unlimited stealth, but they’re easy to deal with out of stealth.
If you manage to defend your keep for the length of the event, you deserve a tiny 3second window for reinforcements to show up

When the whole Zone/Zerg use WP 3 secs before/after timer ends to port in a contested keep.
It sucks.
How is that an exploit, a few patches ago they increased the time and made this easier to do. This is working as intended.
They said they were going to find a way to remove it, both so that a single tap wont close the WP for 3 mins, and that the contested wont ever expire so long as the keep actually is under attack. Not that they had found a way, just that it was being considered.
Guess I’ll save some silver on Gate-a-pults and outmanned repairs. Woot!

What good are xp’s to level 80s? I’ve been using this buff to level alts, but the state of WvW gets worse every patch. At this point like many others I think I’m done with this game.
They spend so much time enhancing PvE, and sPvP, while making changes to WvW that make absolutely no sense.

It almost sounds like you would rather PvDoor, than actually fight the enemy. Towers, and Keeps are so easy to take, there is no need to have a perma contested waypoint.
