I know, there are still 26 hours until reset, but seeing all the queue posts is depressing and by this time in the weekly match I think most people are starting to look forward to the next match. That and I’ve never started a match thread before so yay for me.

Some starter questions:

1. Will BG dominate TC and FA as it has in the past?

2. Will FA blindly rage after TC due to their past?

3. Will FA shock the world and win this week?

4. Will TC run a dolyak parade, tea party, or some similar RP event for FA to try and ruin?

I admit, it’s early, but I’m really excited for this match up. I think/hope it’s going to be a very interesting week.

I am excited as well. Last time TC faced BG I was really inexperienced but I’ve learned a great deal since then so am eager to face them again.

1. It was a picnic, not a tea party, come on now
2. I wouldn’t call standing around pressing buttons on fireworks while people danced around/costume brawled/chatted a form of roleplaying

I think that TC has been hardened by the thrashing Sor gave them this last week, and will show up in pretty good numbers next matchup. Anything remotely competitive will make this week a lot more fun for TC.

Both, and JQ got even bigger which definitely did not work in SoS favor.

We don’t hold any illusions that we are going to beat BG. We are just so tired of seeing Sanctum of Rall Invader over people’s heads that we’d even welcome a beat down from JQ.

Both, and JQ got even bigger which definitely did not work in SoS favor.

That and a few other factors. There was a small game of chess behind the scenes that played out over the past couple of days. I expect T1 scores to look more normal next week, although I still expect JQ to win the match convincingly.

Good luck to everyone in the match this week. I look forward to clashing with PINK again as well as the new FA. It’s been a long time and I enjoyed our match with FA so long ago. I’ll be out of town this weekend so I won’t be able to join the fun until Sunday night. Have fun!

Personally, I’m excited for the match. Scoreboard aside, I always love fighting old foes and new faces. Haven’t seen FA in a very long time (since we were in like tier 3 or 4). I’m eager to see what they bring to the table as I’m sure is TC. It appears as though they are a new server with a winning attitude

Can we make it a thing next week where every tower and keep siege requires someone with fireworks?

If anything T1 taught us is economy of personnel- how to kill as many of the enemy with as few a people as possible and the bare minimum to hold assets.

Blackgate never really had a lot of ‘fat’ to shed in the last 8-9weeks, what was there in T2 prior to T1 is still there and has been here a while getting their own tactics/group dynamic and inter-guild communications down.
We also picked up a couple of guilds from CD, not ‘mega’ guilds like SoS and JQ picked up, but they like to fight (they fight pretty well!) and have had a noticeable impact.

I left BG to go play with another guild on another server right as they went to T1. I was just watching some recent video’s of Knt/Icoa/etc, and they have definitely improved from what I can tell.

Knt always had some good leadership, so it doesn’t surprise me that their core adapted and learned. Icoa I always thought of as a collection of pugs (no offense, but back in T2 you guys were pretty disorganized a lot of the time). Now when I watched a video with Icoa, I was like wow that’s not the same guild I remember.

Unfortunately, there are 4 tier 1 servers right now, so BG should have a fun time in tier 2. The real question is how will a greatly improved FA fare against TC.

We were in EB all week. Shouldve came there….even managed to get a waypoint in your keep there.

Wow thats some baddass sanctum player, spoilt winners? good for you that you got hundreds to your server, we didn’t don’t boast about how wonderful your server is, it is not the great. your players can’t beat some of us when you outnumber us easy.
For exampla,
I took on 3 SoR with my mesmer, alone. (1 ele, 1 mes, 1 guardian) all fought pathetic
3 people took out 5 of your team, finished them, then as always your “ultimately so called AWESOME” zerg of 50 people came and wiped them afterwards.
I hope you guys get stomped so hard in tier 1 you fall to Tier 3, and all your noob players leave so you can become a quallity server for the first time.
Time to log on GW2, and go roaming in SoR BL. I wonder how many I will kill in the JP.

Regarding the thread getting closed before the match starts, it’s happened before and it’s pretty funny when it does.

FA should be dominating TC from reset to the end of the match and be even with BG in scores. Heck, FA might beat BG.

I mean, how can FA not? Lets see:

FA faced TC for 7 weeks. Yes ladies, for 7 weeks. How many of those matchups did FA win? Let’s see here…let me check…hang on…no, that can’t be right! The Roleplayers of TC beat the PvPers of FA every one of those 7 weeks. FA had to have learnt a lot from that experience in how to PvP. Erm no, to Roleplay. No, to PvP.

Fort Aspenwood (“FA x got” with x removed is a cuss word for the forum. Ha ha ha) got a huge influx of PvP guilds before the free transfers ended. Don’t believe any FA guys saying they didn’t get many, they’re too modest. TC got next to none in terms of transfers and is struggling to even have some members of couple of small Oceanic guilds we have had on the server for months to actually, finally, at last make it to the server. BG got a few guilds before the free transfers ended, but not as many as FA.

TC seems to have had a bugged WvW queue lately such that we can’t field more than 30 people per map. Several servers in Europe and a few in NA have reported the same problem, but FA seem to not have this issue.

TC is the underdog here.

Hence my expectation that FA should be beating TC by a huge margin by this time next week and be on par at least with BG.

Who from TC will wager a bet with me that FA beats TC by a huge margin this time next week? WHO?

^Not me, no matter the odds, no matter the facts. I wouldn’t be demoralizing my fellow Toasties no matter how “realistic” the situations might be. We’ll just wait and see.

I only know one fact that TC will fight hard, and fight strong, unless queues kitten with us again not letting anyone in, only to find 20-30 people.

Oh, another thing. I know there’ll be a dolyak parade some day; I know someone from FA will try to grief the party; I know how it will end; I know how the consequences will be regardless of how many Oceanics FA has gained. I wouldn’t care about anything else as long as there are crazy stuff like this to talk about for months to come
