Who cares? It’s 30 stats and 1 PPK if you can manage a stomp. Not having it has had no significant impact.

It’s no more difficult or time consuming than Alpine. As a roamer, there’s more stuff to attack.

I see lots of roamers, including ones roaming specifically to troll for a fight. In T4 this week, people would follow me around and back cap unless I go stop them.

Just because you don’t personally enjoy it doesn’t mean others don’t. I’ve had a lot of fun in there recently attacking it in T4 as a roamer, small group, and zerg.
I keep hearing about these glitches… I’ve never seen anyone taking advantage of them, whatever they are… and those that do simply suck… In the meantime… LOVE the DBL’s… don’t want to see them go… and have lots of nice small scale fights on them… and now and then get steamrolled by a blob that, for some reason, doesn’t want the 5-10 of us taking their keeps… go figure.

I guess it’s empty for you guys… It’s not empty much of the time for us. I don’t care for PPT… ever period.. I don’t care at all about the scores period. I look for small scale fights, since blobs simply suck. … and of course I take everything I can from the enemy. If it gives ppt to the folks that like ppt then I guess that’s ok.. for me.. .don’t care.

The desert BL is in most matches slightly less played on than the Alpine BLs. But all the BLs are much, much less played than EBG in every match-up consistently.
So really just get rid of everything except EBG.

I actually am beginning to like it strictly because I can solo roam and not expect to get ganked every 10 seconds. Was having a good time there last night and getting some decent 1v1/x’s. The downside is if you die, you have a mile and a half to run to get back to where ever you were.

I would prefer three diffrent maps too. But underwater could be to much effort. I personaly would remove EBG and reuse the map adapted as third BL :-).
I dont mind dbl that much since they removed the barricades ( shouldn’t have been a thing in first place) and opened up some space for easier travelling. However i think its better to have 2 weeks of 3x abl and 1 week of 3x dbl so all servers have to deal with the same stuff at the same time.

I like desert borderlands. For one it’s an interesting landscape offering a lot more diversity than the other BLs. Those I find boring.
Just fix some issues surrounding desert BL but I’d vote to keep it, I like it.
There are some issues I have with the Desert BL I would like to see addressed as it makes defending it very difficult, for one the cata spot in WK that is unhittable by defending siege, people using leaps to get past the walls/doors into garrision to ninja solo the lord ( I see this almost daily in my current matchup and its a real pain having trapper thieves do this) and trebs from NN shouldn’t be able to hit inner garrison as well.

BG has yet to be able to fill this map. Either please close down this BL or open up Blackgate server so that BG can finally have a map queue here too on a 24/7 basis. Thank you anet.

There is still a desert borderland? I mean deserted borderland. Nice design, but no use in playing it. Get this map for EotM and get a third alpine for normal wvw.

And, I’ll add, Anet deliberately neglected WvW to try and funnel people to the 3rd-Party $ponsored sPvP.
DBL is a verry fun map if you like scouting,small scale fights and soloing/duoing objectives.. It’s not hard to get around now that the barriers are gone + map changed a little. I dont care much about ppt (unfair borderland map distribution). On ABD you could also glitch into objectives but that was no reason to get rid of the whole map (they just fixed the map).

They didn’t fixed much… We still see people glitching unto Garison and Hills now and then…

Because of DBL A-net will create another wvw map. Hopefully it will be more zerg focused, instead of roaming focused like DBL. Frost themed, where towers can treb keeps, and it should be more compacted to get to the action faster.

Yea but EB have been around for awhile. It not EB that I want to replace since it has always been the most popular map. I just want a BL map that would be able to compete with EB in popularity.

Real WvW died for me when the GvG guilds left and my friends all got scattered on different servers. People votes have been influenced by one main question: What will make Anet work the most?
We’ve pretty much all been disappointing by the small size of the “WvW Overhaul”, we all have the impression that their WvW team is minuscule. What most people want is for Anet to just do something that is substantial without having to wait years for it.
It seems like it takes them months just to do the smallest of change, as if their WvW team consist of only 1 developer working part-time.

I really liked the idea of people with a certain rank only having the ability to vote. Then again…..EOTM kinda ruined ranking in the past years as many pvers loved the old karma train/leveling perk of zerging there.
I honestly don’t know what route anet goes, seems every move is questionable and has negative outcomes, not all but a big majority of them do.

Desert BL is no different than Obsidian Sanctum/Edge of the Mists. Can we treat it the same? It does have a few people on it just like Obsidian Sanctum. It definitely not as popular as Edge of the Mists. There’s always going to be some people who likes it, just like how they like doing JP at Obsidian or k-training at Edge of the Mists. Let it stay in WvW but move them to leisure time maps like Obsidian Sanctum or Edge of the Mists.
