Me too. I would love a System where you never play the same 2 servers in a row. While the match ups might not always be as balanced as the top 2 tiers are atm it would add much need variety to the stale match up system we have.
Something like winners(1st) always move up and losers(3rd) always move down

T1 lockdown is broken this week, JQ got 3% or so to get YB. Interesting.

Last week Kaineng (19) got matched up against DR (23) and ET (24), with a 200+ glicko difference, with 3 servers between that should have covered that. The calculations showed 0% chance for this match-up. Has there been changes to the calculations ?

Population levels aren’t used to determine matchups - ratings are. Some randomization on the ratings is happening to introduce some variance in the matchups, but if there is a rather large gap in the ratings, that randomization might not be enough to create diverse matchups.

The goal of this change is to make the population spread out better, which will in turn make the ratings get closer, which will result in both more interesting matchups, and more variability as well. This will take some time to happen.

Rereading this multiple times, but I do not see any mention of changing the existing glicko randomization. All it does is explain the system we already got in place, and explain that the new server population change does not affect match-up’s.
