Alliance of the Forgotten Seas is a South East Asian guild that’s focused on World vs World.

Where are we from?

We are currently located in Sea of Sorrows, however have decided to move on from this server due to recent events that happen to the server.

Who is AFS?

We are a small guild with about 300 members currently and field around 20-30 people during our primetime on weekdays while during weekends we have atleast 50 people on before, during and after our primetime.

What is AFS?

We are not like other larger guilds where instead of zerging down our enemies, we preffer to keep our precense on field as low as possible and perform behind enemy lines and play with our enemy’s minds. To those who have played with us know how well we do just that.

What kind of server are we looking for?

Although many have asked or requested us to speak with thier server representatives, we preffer to make things simple and only request three things from any server that is interested in our services.
1.List the number of Active SEA guilds in your server.
2.Give examples of how those guilds have worked together in the past (for example produce a short 3-5 min video of yourselves).
3.Show us examples of how that server’s community is Strong and supportive of the guilds which participate in WvW for them.

AFS does not wish to be offered gold/money when we decide on transfering to a new server, we however wish for that community of that server to cooperate with us on the move when it happens.

Good afternoon Vertigo, i hope you are well! First of all sorry for the recent events on sea of sorrows.

I am on seafearers Rest, the number one server on the EU tables! We have 0 SEA guilds on our server and still manage to pull out a win due to our strong communication and community, our alliance consists of the best Guilds in the game and will do whatever it takes to make another guild feel comfortable in there new home!

We have weekly meetings with our guilds as a community and have an alliance TS for the whole server to use, all of our commanders are known to the server and have an excellent reputation. All of our guilds communicate with one another and always help when needed.

Let me tell you a bit of history about our server from my point of view. Firstly RiOT originated from Aurora Glade for the first few months, we then saw the excellent world vs world community on Seafearers Rest and so transferred here, and have not regretted it since. Yes, we have had ups and downs, but we still managed to keep ourselves motivated and keep on hitting the match-ups hard and fast!

The first few weeks when we, and other guilds joined our server we raced to tier one, we, however struggled against vizunah due to a lack of night force.

When Anet decided to reset the ratings we decided it was a good idea to drop down to tier two, to pick up some motivation and a reason to fight, we did this successfully as well as gain a few more guilds!

We got back up to T1 in no time and went straight to number one but it is a hard fight, one that cannot be missed, we would like you to consider joining our server or at least have a meeting with me and a few other server representatives.

SOR needs more SEA guilds badly in order to make a balanced NA T1 tier, but I’ll let a more knowledgeable person from that server make a post.

Tarnished Coast has quite a few SG WvW regulars AFAIK, and some big solid SEA-time guilds in Pro and FIST, but it’s no secret that we are undermanned on the oceanic/SEA front and would always welcome anyone from those timeslots with open arms. So yes, AFS will be shoring up a weak timezone and you probably won’t be on the side that’s zerging everyone down during these times.

What you will be doing however is joining one of the most welcoming, friendly and stable communities the game has to offer (I think TC’s reputation speaks for itself, but our community forums at tcgw2.com are public and our recruitment thread is full of compliments from our rival servers). You will fight alongside an incredibly experienced and resilient SEA/oceanic crew that’s been essentially fighting outmanned in the upper tiers night in and night out for the past half a year and never yielded, and you will be part of what I believe to be the tier with the healthiest competition at the moment. The T2 scores and threads for the past few weeks are there for all to see – close battles, a healthy dose of respect, people having fun and none of the toxicity and negativity in the oh so coveted tier 1.

(I’m just a random SGer who WvWs and don’t represent any of the server’s major guilds, and I know there are many of us like me on TC. I’m sure one of the server representatives will also contact you guys in due time, but in the meantime this is just what a random zergling feels about my beloved server. We say we’re outmanned at this time, but it’s not as if we don’t have people on – it’s more of lacking organization. Personally speaking, I believe a good sized SEA guild such as yourselves would have immense growth opportunities in a community like TC to make a mark for yourselves and really be a part of your server’s success. Please think about it )

Kaineng — WM is probably largest Oceanic guild and having a SEA guild would strengthen our Asian coverage into euro and NA with RISECO, upgrading and defending points would be easier — We rose from tier 8 to tier 2 rapidly, with the support of Meow, Kaineng natives, and many others (former SBI, haven’t been able to logon due to broken pc so I don’t have complete numbers)

We are looking for allies to help us in the journey to tier 1 and become the top fighters in GW2.

Fort Aspenwood- well FA just got some of your NA partners as well as an oceanic I do believe we got a smaller SEA guild also but I’m never on when they are so I have not met them yet. As it stands FA is very strong in NA prime time and decent during oceanic time our SEA needs help. to answer your questions:
1. Pro Baddies and FIST put in a lot of work during that timeslot. we also have countless militia members out there as well. our militia is extremely well trained, and able to handle just about any task that’s needed.
2. working together is pretty much second nature on TC. when we step into WvW, we’re not an assortment of individual guilds, we’re TC. through and through. i never really thought to record any of it, since that’s just daily life on TC.

As to your criteria I’de say last week was a pretty good example of the Blackgate SEA guilds working together ;P

Between MERC, ND, Thai, Urge we managed to pull together and full cap all borderlands, not through coverage but via constant communication via our TS and our floating / stationary teams which allowed for a 500 ppt even against JQ’s stacked SEA. Ofc we’re paying for it this week with most our guilds being burnt out / tired and JQ being as ferocious as ever, but we worked together flawlessly to achieve the goal; beating JQ.

AFS is a fantastic guild and worked very well alongside others on SoS. I for one would LOVE them to follow my guild but the decision is all theirs!

Like my mate said, There’s NO other server on ANY TIER were a single SEA guild could make a bigger impact, Yak’s Bend has been waiting for a guild like you guys FOR MONTHS, we climbed to tier 3 only with our NA/SA presence and our teamwork (which is practically almost tier 2 quality) we would love you and treasure you guys, and i’m not kidding… i don’t want to sound desperate too >.<.

Also you guys can be the spark to initiate a complete SEA culture at Yak’s Bend, our NA presence would be glad to work with you guys not only at WvW but also as a community.

Obviously every server would love to have a 300+ players guild join them, so I’ll throw out the invite too.

The only thing holding the Ring of Fire down is the complete lack of a night capping team. We’re in T7 of the Eu servers but we can fight T5/6 servers to a standstill in the prime time. Of course we would love to have you join us.

As for your playing style, I suspect you would be right at home with the way the Warp guild plays the game. We play a lot of defense but we know how to fight too, and we love ninja tactics. We’re well known for taking major keeps with only 1 golem.

May I suggest Sanctum of Rall. We’ve been hanging out in T2-T1 for what seems like forever and a day. Our SEA guilds have been working very hard to come together as a network of coordinated teams to take on the 2 giants we currently face in that time-slot. What we lack in numbers currently is being made up for by creative map movement and hit and run style tactics. From the sounds of it, your guild would fit in nicely with the growing group of SEA players that call SoR home.

every server has issues and problems, it’s just a matter of how public they are. there’s factions and egos and bad blood everywhere.

on henge, we have problems, but they don’t stop us from playing. in the end we all work toward the same common goal.

the best thing i could do is invite you to hang out with us & see if you have fun. regardless of how beneficial your guild would be to our server, if you don’t like the people you’d be working with and aren’t having fun then it’s not the right place for you.

I recommend DB for you. We have great sea coverage, GA TFV NNK fight for DB everyday. We never give up, even we get behind 30k points. We work together and follow the plane, finally we turned the tables. We won’t to leave this server and decided to move up tier to find more fight. Community, Oceanic + SEA wvw scene + server unity were the same qualities we were considering when OCX was looking for a new home and I have to say we found a good one in SOR.

SOR is one of the most friendly servers I been on, their community is great you can prob get more info at http://www.sanctumofrall.com/.

WVW- SOR prob have the weakest oceanic and SEA presence in T1 currently, but our NA has some of the strongest and most dedicated Guilds around, in CDS, CHOO, FEAR, TW, HEL, GSCH, PLUM and HL. I would say one of the if not the strongest NA presence in T1, and many choose to stay up just so they can support and play with our AUS and SEA crew.

In terms of SEA and Oceanic presence, we have HIRE, OCX, SEC, NYS, SAHP and SYN we prob can fill one or 2 maps during peak oceanic and SEA time.

If you are looking for WVW community SOR has been great, we were personally welcome by every major SOR guild when we first moved here. Recently all the NA guilds woke up on a saturday at 3-5am in the morning just so they could support and play with the oceanic and SEA guilds and i dont mean just a few nearly all of CHOO TW FEAR HEL HL were all up with us till we eventually went to bed, extremely active server TS, with average of 300+ ppl online at peak times.

Also I have missed fighting alongside you guys <3, the first time I commanded for OCX was on the same map with you and we golem rushed hills together lol.

Like many have said before, Yaks and opposing servers alike, Yaks Bend is a solid T3 server primarily because of our strong cohesion and teamwork in our NA forces. We don’t have a lot of super huge organized WvW guilds, but what we do have is an organized SERVER with a strong community. We have one of the largest Latin American alliance on our server that works great with our NA contingent. If there is a timezone we lack in, it is definitely in the Oceanic/SEA times. Our list of off peak guilds currently are Devils Den [DD], Eastern Wind [EW], and of course our aussies on The Older Gamers [TOG]. We usually have around 20-30 people in WvW during these time and it is still impossible to hold on to anything during nightcaps ( right now by Dragonbrand, who we wreck during NA =D). Darkhaven is in great need of an oceanic presence. For the last two and a half months we haven’t faced an opponent that we can’t handle or be even with during NA primetime and through the weekend. However, we seem to lose our NA daytime/Oceanic primetime during the weekdays. If you are looking for a server where you would make an immediate impact then we are a good choice.

In the last three months Darkhaven has begun to rebuild and rise back up from our fall. We lost a lot of our bigger guilds back at the end of 2012 and were forced to rebuild and educate our new players. As for cooperation our server has had solid communication for the better part of two and a half months. I can’t offer you T1 server numbers or success but I can offer you a place where 50 to 100 quality people will propel this server to the next level.

Well there’s a lot of people after you but I’ll add a bit about Desolation on here since we are always on the look out for guilds that will fit in here :>

Desolation has been bouncing around the EU T1 /2 (tier one for a long time now) and has managed this due to the immense dedication of the guilds and people on the server. We do not have great coverage, nor do we have any queue issues (prime time queues are 5 mins at best). We having been actively working together to form an alliance that can see us through staying up in T1 but we do need more coverage at all times to achieve this. Our current opponents (Vizunah and SFR) offer us good fights and much loot!

So for your questions:
1. We have no active SEA guilds on Desolation.
2. I’ll throw you at my stream for videos of our server working together, being in IRON we are a 24/6 active guild so we end up working with everyone at some point in the week http://www.twitch.tv/wrex13
3. Desolation has a massive PvX community, as well as a substantial WvW community. We are working to integrate the two better everyday through the use of our community website and team speak, and hoping the patch will help bring more people in to try WvW.

We on GoM fought Darkhaven for a long time, they would definitely be a good choice for you guys. Not only does Darkhaven have solid numbers (for the tier they are in), they have also developed really good tactics, coordination, and response time, probably because we hit them with aggressive guerrilla tactics for so long.

Like Rheayas said, Yak’s Bend is in need of a solid SEA guild like yours. We have a strong community that tends to look out for each other. Our Oceanic/SEA guilds have no choice but to work closely together, as there are so few. They do a great job of holding the line with whatever they can scrap for until the NA/SA/EU crew arrives to begin painting everything our color.

I know you’ve heard of other servers in T3 and below that are only successful because they have an overwhelming SEA/Oceanic crew.. Yak’s Bend is the exact opposite. We have a crack NA/SA team that regularly sees 500+ point ticks in our prime. What we need now is a strong Oceanic/SEA crew. That’s where you guys come in!

The question is: what are your guild’s goals? Do you want to be just another SEA guild in a mass of SEA guilds? Or do you want good fights and good competition? Do you want to be the guild that helps Yak’s Bend solidify itself at the top of Tier 3? That’s up to you.

Bottom line: many other servers have tried to emulate what we have at YB. We have leaders from other servers coming to us to help build their communities. No matter how they try, however, all the can do is imitate. We did it first. We did it right.

The alliance is what keeps most guilds together and become a very competitive group. We also have players who dedicate there nights to help with night raids against Oceanic guilds. European guilds and Hispanic guilds are also apart of yaks bend. We stride for Devastation across all worlds. While we are conquering one borderlands we are already planning the next step to take out another borderlands.

Yak’s Bend has a great community. I won’t lie and say we don’t have issues, but we always come to the table with a strong front. well, a player would usually promote his own server. however, coming from a server with a considerable Oceanics/SEA force i would suggest you guys go to a server that has little coverage from that area. i would suggest TC/FA if you would like to have fun in T2. however if you desire a T1 endless fight, i would suggest SoR/BG.

if you want to play with the Oceanic/SEA forces of Kaineng, we would welcome you with open arm….

either way, don’t go to JQ. don’t get me wrong, they have enough coverage already. that would be overkill.

If your going to make an investment in a new home, you might want to visit a wee bit first. I am Foghladha from GSCH on Sanctum of Rall and I can’t promise you that the Late night action will always fall in your favor. We don’t have easy mode around here but what we do have is a target rich environment which if you know how to use it can turn very lucrative and very fun very quick.

I run events on Sat / Sun mornings from 12-2am server time and can tell you that the late night crew is very helpful to each other. Even as we don’t share the same language a lot of time’s we still work together and see past boundaries to meet the overall goal.

Sanctum of Rall has a very homely feel. We share a wide range of activities that will surely keep your members from growing bored. We are a very tight knit community and pride ourselves on having fun above all else.

If you are the type of person that sees the outmanned buff and a map that has little to no objectives in your color as an opportunity rather than a deterrent, Sanctum of Rall will be full of opportunity. The most fun I have in this game comes between the hours of 10pm – 2am. It would be great to share the battlefield with some more friends.

Regardless of the server you choose, I highly recommend visiting their community sites, guesting to some pve events, or transferring a few key personnel over to see if it’s a good fit first. This can be a very costly mistake to you and your members if you go to the wrong server. Make sure it’s a place you can call home.

It’s very impressive in the way that AFS went about this. It’s clear that you’re looking for the best experience for your guild and the fact that you refuse to be payed off deserves mad respect. I would love to throw Tarnished Coast’s name in the fray but I see that we already have! Best of luck to AFS wherever you decide to call home it’s evident that it will be a very lucky server.

I will add some informative comments for you to understand each server SEA coverage from my point of view. (SEA only, not Oceanic)
JQ – Highest Coverage of all server. FOO guild alone can field up to 50+ zerg themselves, not to mention they have many more.
BG – Second best SEA coverage of all server. We have Thai,Urge (Philiplines),ND (Korean), ND (HK/Taiwan/China), MERC (Australian), IIB operate in this timezone. And we coorperate with each others via server teamspeak with commander whisper list to call for help/arrange a plan if required.
SoR – The least SEA coverage of all tier1 server. I would say they have barely no SEA. (or a few) Sometimes they can field some people but most of them prolly overtime NA.

KN – I would say they’re 3rd best SEA coverage of entire server. Due to the fact that they have WM (Warmachine) guild in this timezone. They alone can field 40-60+ ppl zerg as well combining with some RE and another guilds. Definitely very strong SEA presence here.
FA – I would say they have the least SEA coverage on tier2.
TC – They have some SEA but not a lot. Still i think they’ve better SEA coverage than FA, talking about tier2.

Still, i would like you to consider our Blackgate server as your option if you like tier1 and want a challenge for your team. We’re willing and looking forward for a key small strike team in this timezone. Of course not everybody know how important a small group of organized players can do but we know how important you can do Let join Blackgate, and have fun! I can guarantee you that! Our SEA team can also organize a small meeting with your guild leader/rep in case you want to know more about Blackgate and how we operate.

As a blackgate player, PLEASE consider SOR. They need to be competitive so they can stop being griefers. They have a really strong NA. Some SEA guilds would make T1 a toss up every week.

I know you probably considered this but stay on SoS. You know the coverage already :P

There is not a single big East Asian guild in EU bracket, so why would ppl think they would consider european server at the first place?

I blame ANET for this. NA top 9 servers have 2-3 times better coverage than EU.

As to your criteria I’de say last week was a pretty good example of the Blackgate SEA guilds working together ;P

Between MERC, ND, Thai, Urge we managed to pull together and full cap all borderlands, not through coverage but via constant communication via our TS and our floating / stationary teams which allowed for a 500 ppt even against JQ’s stacked SEA. Ofc we’re paying for it this week with most our guilds being burnt out / tired and JQ being as ferocious as ever, but we worked together flawlessly to achieve the goal; beating JQ.

I see MagicKarp the Magnificent on behalf of the Mighty MERC has spoken again. Any timezone that manages a 500 ppt tick does not need more players. If we are stacked in that timezone then what are you? Coverage and numbers trumps all. Skill is a poor 3rd in this game at present, we all know that to be true if we are honest with ourselves.

AFS, we would love to have you to deal with BG’s new coverage in that timezone but I respect your choice whatever it might be. If you wanted to go into T1 then I am sure SoR would be the most deserving given their weakness there. Good luck with your choice.
