Holy kitten do I feel old. Been watching SoS twitch live WvW streams all day and night ( we dont video stream our kitten on the honey badger server ). These kids are half my age. At least I have been laid and can buy beer.

That was a crazy fight between all 3 servers in Bay on BG BL btw. The final lords room fight was just a bright explosion of … a lot of dead people. Poor bay. It had like no walls, no gates… lol.

Yes it may go down to the wire but JQ is going to win, you can already see the pattern. JQ has closed a 20k gap in less than 2 days with all the new transfers finally getting into the server.

Today you can almost see the full potential of JQ, they’re clearly dominating the other two servers, 300+ppt during NA primetime, then comes Oceanic time they’ll fall down to 200+ppt, SEA time they’ll bounce back to 300+ppt, then finally EU time they’ll go up to 400+ppt. Once JQ claim the number 1 spot, watch all the bandwagoners transfer to JQ before the cutoff date, where they will be the supreme kings for months to come.

I’ll hate to say, but I also reckon the people who joined SOS cos they were number 1 will jump to JQ as soon as they realise there will be a new champ in town… then their will be a noticeable disparity between the top two servers.

Weird thing happened this afternoon, break down Bay doors which JQ owned and BG was waiting just behind the entrance and defended it from us. Sooo annoying. It’s hard enough to take a keep from JQ but to go through both servers was painful. enjoy your loot bags.

It appears huge zergs everywhere because we move map to map where it is needed sir. Just like last night round 1 am GMT +8 Waha’s FOO come to rescue when the only blue keep left Bay is under attack at SOS BL then left to another map several minutes later.

I think its mainly randoms that jump to the number 1 server. Guilds make other reasons to shift to try and correct the balance. SoS was very dominate since its arrival into T1 and the one time during the christmas holidays JQ did well. Now the only problem was 8-10 guilds decided to make JQ their home and stacked a already busy server. Its like its the new HoD.

I see a shift in balance with JQ being the server to beat with their new NA coverage.

In the NA time zone, JQ is starting to have queues on 4 borderlands at all times. The wait time is not long, but the queues are there.

Was that the time where BG was taking out SoS while we (JQ) synchronized danced on inner ramparts only to find out later BG had been catapulting a back wall and using the big fights as a distraction? We held that for so many extra ticks because of those fights.

Been a pretty cool week. As an SOS player I think people were being a bit lazy because there was no competition. Now with JQ establishing itself as a strong Tier 1 server SOS are going to have to work for their wins. Well done and thanks to JQ for getting up to a competitive level. Sos do you guys even think about clearing oil or canons before you golem rush? 3/4 of your golems were dead within seconds. Just an FYI you might want to rethink your strat on that or at least send in a small force capable of holding down their own without creating swords on the map first. I have been there before myself and had to learn from those epic failures.

Earlier this week, I got a lot of badges from oil at red brair from sos zerg ram worshipers. Here I am thinking oil pot was just a extra health for doors.

And about GvG. Yeah, it’s fun to watch and i did observe some GvG even today on Gandara (arranged). The thing is, it WILL not work as format in this game. GW1 had an entire different balance. Having GvG in this game with 15+ will result in zergy clashes where dropping AoE and combo fields is more important than anything else. The depth is gone. The fight will take less than a minute, as seen in most arranged “GvG” fights in GW2 so far. The game is not build/balanced/designed for big guild clashes.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t really know what he’s talking about. It is certainly not as deep as GW 1 was (purely from a mechanics standpoint), but GW 2 has potential to be an amazing GvG game in 15-20ish clashes too. There are so many advanced strategies that people can employ which haven’t really been done yet. The movement required from GW 2 is unparalleled.

And we have had quite a few fights that took over 1 minute – I am sure we’ll have even more in the future. Some of our toughest fights were over a minute due to constant regroups and people rallying.

I want to take the time to personally shout out to SOS during our 3 hour push tonight on jade quarry, not only did you hold back our golems and boot us out of hills, you also pushed back so hard i will have repair bills for the next week.

Whatever happens with number 1 or 2 this week, most of us had a hell of a time pushing and pulling till the weee hours of the morning.

Who ever said that has clearly been lying! We´ve had ppt lead several times over the past 24 hours, and I know none of the BG guilds that have given up.

Good match this week. Looks like JQ and SoS will be fighting it till the end. With all the transfers its going to be hard, but we will keep trying to get that #1 spot of you SoS.

And I agree, GvG can be like, more than clashes of zergs. Get 20-30 ppl on a map, have different objectives so you have to split and stuff – or it can be just your ole’ head on fight (different maps, different styles of play). Builds and classes are quite important as is movement even in larger fights as Intigo said (or even more so in larger fights, 1 wrong move and you’re dead). Idk, we haven’t changed our builds for a while, coz they work 90% of the time…but, fighting specialised and highly organised groups of people is quite different from wiping random zergs, akin to sPvP I’d say, only on a bigger scale: they have a group strategy, and if you don’t counter it, you die.

I just wanna point out that i have done loads of guild clashes and i have also seen loads of arranged GvG by now. The full on clashes is what people in here are talking about and what people want.

Sure GvG ala GW1 could work but it would need to be DRASTICALLY different. Not only less numbers to differentiate it from WvW, but you would need to split people up a lot because otherwise most fights won’t be longer than a minute (yeah sometimes….). When you guys say you want GvG and show videos of clashing 20v20, you must understand that i assume you talk about that kind of GvG, and not the one in GW1. So please, explain what you really want and how you see it work. Not only for the hardcore, but also for the casual guild ets.

Another thing, Anet thought GvG in GW1 was to hard to get into, partly because 8v8 was too much players. So wanting 20v20 is even more unlikely. But, dream on guys! Dream on.

To the JQ warrior from WAR guild that I just fought. Thank you, for 12weeks? I have been searching for an honorable match between a JQ and myself. I thought it impossible as I feel JQ had become more and more bitter over the weeks and I feel this unjust hatred towards SoS. I try to instigate duels in wvw a lot and a 2vMe turns into 5plusvMe so many times its not even funny. I think as soon as someone from JQ sees an SoS tag they see blood red. It was so uplifting to finally get an awesome duel. I apologise to use shadow refuge half way through, but my skillsetup was all for killing the camp rather than killing a person, so I used the failsafe to get out of reach and reset them to give you a proper go. Im so thankful that the rest of your WAR smallop team didnt interfere, they looked deadly. I must say you are one of the best warriors I’ve ever duelled, you almost had me. I salute you and all of War Hogz. Hope to duel you again sometime.

JQ still desperately needs Oceanic coverage. I’m afraid we aren’t going to win this week because every time the SoS Oceanic guilds log on the ppt for SoS reaches 400+. Good game this week though.

I’ve only ever seen one person use that tonic, ever. It was an SoR commander, and they were ALWAYS the first person to render. Mind clarifying what you think it does?

Always a chance they were the first to render due to being at the front all the time.

You mean after SoS beating JQ in their downtime they can’t ask for more players to even playingfields? It’s not like VOTF was an addition to your strong playtime.

Why are people bringing up Ascalonian mages potion? They are always the first to load up on my pc gear. It is also easier to see when other players are using the same model.

Good game SoS/BG this week. We had lots of fun over on the JQ side. This kind of week is what makes t1 so special.

Blackgate mad respect to your pugs and guilds. I know it isnt easy with the numbers Sos and JQ bring out but when all things equal you hang with both of us easily.

I personally don’t mind. Just don’t say anything about it. If they like queues then so be it.
