If there was an ETA they would’ve told us yesterday. Anet is not big on ETAs, they know the possibility of actually delivering on time isn’t the greatest.

In fact, we already had an ETA of June 3rd. Look what happened to that, and look what happens when you don’t deliver on time.

You are, by definition, one of those who haven’t received the reward. There’s nothing complicated about that. Those who didn’t received the reward because they didn’t earn it are a non-issue. So don’t fret.

I think that’s why there is such a big delay in the distribution of tickets. I personally think that the old tickets should be given a description around the lines of “This ticket is no longer valid” and everyone should get new tickets.

My first guess would be the related to the reason they disabled the vendor. They will take all tickets and chests from anyone that has them and then re-issue them to everyone at once.

If they would have left the vendor in game, they would have had to reverse transactions as well.

Finisher is supposed to come via mail. They probably won’t send that out until this is resolved, probably for the same reason we’re being put on hold.

Arenanet , I understand the prize is very artificial , because its only a skin , witch wont affect in any sort of way my game play , except then to look pretty , I aint a dragqueen , i leave that to others , the only thing i can point out is your lack of profesionalism witch will eventualy and already affect your traffic , with all the new games that are coming out , you couldn do better to convince them to go put ther money else where , congrat on the failure

The WvW Season 2 has been going on for 2 months, and because you don’t figure out that you have no clue how to do the rewards until a couple days before the end the rest of us get screwed? GG

The winner of Silver was known weeks ago.

If there wasn’t a “go live” BETA testing of the “reward” to a core of BETA users who are trusted by the anet team, the processes are being used badly to fix every single issue in this game.

Undo the changes from the megaserver, admit it was a bad idea, rescind it, use beta testers far more and move on from an idea that kills WvW and destroys continuity of the storyline and ruins “server” affiliations across the board.

Why would you want that, exactly? I’ve had nothing but positive experiences from the megaserver. I can actually find people in PvE maps to play with or chat with whenever I play now, as opposed to before the update where people on my server were only in specific maps and seemed to vanish entirely after 11:00pm.

Much better than trying to guest to a different server and hope that people would be active in the areas I was heading to.

Why would you want that, exactly? I’ve had nothing but positive experiences from the megaserver. I can actually find people in PvE maps to play with or chat with whenever I play now, as opposed to before the update where people on my server were only in specific maps and seemed to vanish entirely after 11:00pm.

Much better than trying to guest to a different server and hope that people would be active in the areas I was heading to.

To a point on the PVE side I agree 100% but they should have at least left LA as a main city that is server specific.

Well they could simply search inventory database of users who are flagged for the reward and check who do not have tickets and/or reward chest on any of their chars.

If it’s a bug, couldn’t the devs look at what servers were ranked 1-xx and redistribute from there? Maybe temporarily destroy the tickets on the loot table and repackage as a mail item with the correct amount per server rank? Maybe I’m just ignorant to these things?:/

For those saying “you don’t know how hard it is” to find and fix the error. You’re right, we don’t but at the same time we did not call ourselves a company and release a game. We did not put ourselves forward as “professionals” and then fail to deliver to our customers.

Actually he/she is well within their rights to antagonize you, given that it means criticism, which is what he/she is doing. Objecting to your displeasure is not against Anet’s Terms of Service.

First off, if you do not know how to fix it then you cannot possibly come up with a reasonable standard to base the delivery of fixes on. Secondly, you are hardly being polite. These forums are rarely politely critical of Anet; most of the time there are insults directed to them in some way shape or form. Politeness is often associated with a calm attitude and lacks an angry tone. Expressed your displeasure? Sure, but realize that for your displeasure to have any value whatsoever when it comes to bugfixes presupposes that they could fix the issue whenever they want. If you did an analysis of ANY professional company you’d realize that there are always problems with them in some way, and every company gets complaints in some way. It is impossible, for a company to produce perfection.

And when they fail to produce a perfect product, this is where complaints come in. A person will acknowledge that there can’t be a perfect product and certain problems won’t bother them, but when the issue affects them directly, that understanding that perfection is impossible goes completely out the window, and they now express similar emotions someone else has already expressed before them. Anet will make mistakes, and when these mistakes affect you, you’ll express your displeasure, but please realize that this is an issue with a bug, and it isn’t such a simple problem that expressing your displeasure will somehow motivate the programmers to do what they are already trying to do. I can guarantee you that they are not deliberately refusing to fix the issue, so it makes no sense to point out the obvious.

It’s cute that I don’t blindly believe what people will say? If I’m interpreting that right. For the record, this isn’t about having faith in Anet, it is about actually have an education when it comes to business and that rarely are decisions made like if the people involved were bipolar. Usually they have some sort of calculated risk/reward analysis at the very least.

Every 2nd birthday gift will contain 50 remade tickets for the WvW skins.

And then they will continue to ignore the broken WvW rewards as though it never happened, whilst people still ask, “I didn’t receive my chest yet…. when will you fix this?”

I don’t have to blindly believe. I was there. I saw it. We thought Anet got their kitten together this time. They didn’t. Not yet, at least. So far, just a repeat of last year. Only, last year, they didn’t have their head up China’s kitten . So we can only hope they pull it out. I don’t think they will. But what’s cute, and I only mean that half-condescendingly; I find it silly but also slightly reassuring, is that you do think they’ll come through. And like I said, I can only hope you’re right. This is something I’d like to be wrong about.

To everyone complaining, may I tell you a story?

I finished my meta in a few days. I worked really hard to finish it ASAP because I wasn’t sure at the time how long it was going to be around. Later, I found out I had two months. Whoops.

So I waited, and I waited.

Patch at the end of May! Oh boy, here it comes~ Oh wait, the vendor isn’t available until June 3rd. Okay, it’s just a few more days.

So I wait until June 3rd.

Content has been temporarily disabled.

Disappointing, but I’m sure it’ll be repaired. So I wait.

I check in before I head to work to June 4th, content is still disabled. Maybe tonight.

While I’m at work, some lunatic in my town walks down a populated area, carrying two rifles and picks a fight with the RCMP (police). He kills three of them, injures two more and gets away.

So right now, there’s a nutter running around my city with rifles, the city is locked down, highways are shut down and nearly every public area is closed indefinitely while they look for him. No buses, the hospitals are heavily restricted, everyone I know is scared and overall, it’s a pretty awful experience.

So I come back after work, and the content is still disabled.

Oh well. It could be worse.


I know that not everyone will understand the humour in making light of a situation like this; but people had seriously ought to be grateful that missing WvW rewards is the pinnacle of their “to complain about” agenda.

Wow so many people are missing the point here….

We are angry because not only that we didn’t receive our rewards in time, but also because we didn’t receive them on the 2nd date which was 3th of June, if Anet would announce before the tournament that the rewards would come in September 2014 everyone would have been ok with it, but the anouace a date than they don’t deliver than they announce a 2nd date and they still didn’t deliver and you ask me why are we upset, its because we are being lied that is why, don’t make promise you cannot keep.

Cool story, you live in a country that sells firearms at a corner shop to any man and their untrained dog. Does it honestly surprise you when those scenarios end up happening? Because it shouldn’t.

Maybe some people are having a rough patch at the moment, and the one thing they were looking forward to was the end of the season rewards. And ANet let them down by not testing the content long beforehand (they never test anything).

So maybe this isn’t the only thing they have to complain about, maybe its one of many things. It’s common knowledge games can be used to escape and get some personal space from other issues that are out of your control. Maybe their last bastion of positivity was GW2, who knows? And ANet let them down again. So they complained.

Just because someone complains about something like this doesn’t mean its their ONLY problem in life. Remember this well.

Edit: There’s two “Hyperions”, this just got confusing.

ALL IS VAIN.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in all MMOs.
Stop failing at PvE, and fix WvW/SPvP. Thank you.
