Oh now I see why CD runs from 1v1s, they lose 1v3s when they actually fight

Not sure what CD you’ve been seeing, but the DURP (rofl) nametag from what I’ve seen almost always translates into free kills. I’ve lost count the number of times when I’ve been in a small group that steamrolls a DURP-bad zerg that outnumbers us 2 or 3 to one. The DURP zerg of course responds with more numbers. 10 DURP bads aren’t enough to take a supply camp being defended by 2 CD? Then bring on over another 10! rofl

Interesting video of the cherry picked fights though, but doesn’t mean a whole lot. After all, I’m sure many of us here have been victorious when we soloed 2 or 3 enemies. Only thing is, not all of us record those encounters and post them on the forums in a bad attempt to look good. But hey I understand what you’re trying to do. After all, if winning doesn’t come often for you, then you must record+show the few measly morsels whenever you do get lucky.

Pics and unedited video or it didn’t happen. Because it didn’t. Your trolling needs some work though. While it’s fairly common for people to go on a rant about how a guild/group sucks in reply to a video of them succeeding at something, saying so in a means where you cannot verify or prove what actually happened is pointless. How do you know they called 10 people to the camp? How do you know those 10 people weren’t just passing by on their way to pick daisies? DARP is one of the smallest guilds on Maguuma. Saying we correspond to numbers is the best troll I’ve seen today.

But I’ve been awake for two hours, so maybe something better will come along.

CD and SBI need to learn how to dp properly or we’re in for another week of this boring mess. Time to start fighting each other’s battles!

SBI does the 2-3 paragraph trash talk. We’re more direct so that people at work can join in. The paragraphs that SBI/CD write can be boiled down to 1-2 lines that are roughly similar.

It sucks for us too. To WP and camp is really tedious on the attackers to sit as scout at areas calling inc and waiting for stuff to happen. WvW is kind of boring when it’s played the “right” way.

SoS will eventually fall on its own.

In my opinion, if you can do it, do it. Then again, the opinion that matters in response to your question is your servers’, not mine.

I can’t think of a commander on mag that cares about scores more than fighting players. One of the many good things about Mag.

The reason it’s even talking about here is because t3 would be more people for commanders to fight with, but we’ll get there eventually as SoS falls.

The ratings system in this game is flawed which will cause two servers to have very different ratings if they are in different tiers even if they would be a relatively even match. You can look at when EBay fell to Tier 5 a few weeks ago and instantly lost 100 rating points, they didn’t all of the sudden get bad, they just accumulated a bunch of rating points that were stuck in Tier 4 by surviving for a couple weeks and then transferred them all to Tier 5. Same thing will happen when SoS falls to Tier 4.

He said we took their keeps all the week not that WE HOLD THEM all the week for the ticks, even so there’s a few Mags that knows perfectly that at least a 30% of the WvW population of YB was missing for more than 1 month since our alliance was “broken” and we were full of drama and other things. And it was reconstructed at the end of last week.

Meh, I don’t think T3 will even offer us “better” fights. Maybe more good fights. But some of the [SBI] fights we’ve had have been better than anything I remember from Yak’s Bend, as far as open field is concerned. Granted, my memory of Yak’s Bend is pretty dim back from when we were always fighting them. A lot of us want to go to T3, but we’re pretty casual players. And I don’t mean that in terms of how much we play as much as how much boredom we’re willing to tolerate. Good fights aren’t so non-existent here that I’m in a super hurry.

Last night we had a pretty fun one where CD was breaking out at SBI-owned SE tower (might have these servers reversed, I don’t remember who’s at SE spawn) and we were just messing with them from the west side. Despite having Siegerazer and free siege, it wasn’t a super stomp, despite them having a slight numbers advantage as well. But CD left maybe 15 minutes after that fight.

You may be correct since we dont seem to be able to get out of T4, I can say this, they need to have come a long way, I hope and believe that Mag and Yaks will be an even matchup with NNK/dragonbrand giving us good fights as always at night but Yaks needs to have come a long way since we last met them..

Of course YB is better than Mag, they’re beating the team that Mag can’t catch in the ratings. Maguuma has failed to close the gap on SoS for weeks now despite playing against smaller population servers that they should dominate. Meanwhile YB has widened the gap between themselves and Mag while playing tougher (higher population) servers. I’m not even sure how this is up for debate.

Do you really want us to tryhard wvw all week, pop up wps in all your keeps, and camp you at spawn? Personally, I think that sounds a lot more boring for all of us. Keep going on thinking you’re a special flower though.

Meh, I don’t think T3 will even offer us “better” fights. Maybe more good fights. But some of the [SBI] fights we’ve had have been better than anything I remember from Yak’s Bend, as far as open field is concerned. Granted, my memory of Yak’s Bend is pretty dim back from when we were always fighting them. A lot of us want to go to T3, but we’re pretty casual players. And I don’t mean that in terms of how much we play as much as how much boredom we’re willing to tolerate. Good fights aren’t so non-existent here that I’m in a super hurry.

Last night we had a pretty fun one where CD was breaking out at SBI-owned SE tower (might have these servers reversed, I don’t remember who’s at SE spawn) and we were just messing with them from the west side. Despite having Siegerazer and free siege, it wasn’t a super stomp, despite them having a slight numbers advantage as well. But CD left maybe 15 minutes after that fight.

It is still highly questionable. But I get it. Here you win. Here you are winners. Why go to another tier and jeopardize that? But SBI and CD have been having an extremely close week, and it would be better to have another server that may also end up being very evenly matched with us.

Why strive to get to a position of possible failure (even the possibility of losing to YB, which is apparently a huge issue that many WvW analysts have spent hours mulling over).

I do agree that SBI has stepped up, with the influx of players giving us a boost and all. Maybe this next matchup will be a lot closer than this week has been…

I do think that next week will be closer. This week at reset, SBI did next to nothing for a few days until that patch. CD definitely gained a large chunk of population too, but the difference was night and day for SBI.

Mag gained a lot people too but was already hitting queues for EB in primetime, so a much smaller effective gain of having larger groups taking camps, doing fight club, etc.

Maguuma is way better than Yaks bend in the open field. I can confirm this. Oh and tzasari is op.

Ask around and see how many of our major WvW guilds have transferred because of our losing streaks. This is a video game, not a job. If it’s a job to you, more power to you. But I for one play video games to have fun and I’m allergic to grind and walking yaks to keeps for hours on end. Haven’t seen enough SBI the last 2 weeks which is a shame because the few times I have they’ve been fun and interesting encounters. But honestly I’m sick of CD.

Its not the losing matter. SBI has lost a ton. We lose a lot. never been a factor for me (and most of the remaining people, I assume). The ones who cared all left in a mass dramatic exodus. It is more of the fact that you don’t have to work hard to be successful against us.

And I am not saying play all week without sleeping. Apparently, Mag can decide to lock us out of maps, and it will be done. Why not do that? Lock it down and keep it for a few hours. That will rack up a few points. And maybe even create better harder fought fights. Who knows?

I also play for fun. I would just maybe have more fun with you elsewhere having fun. :P

And besides, we all know that we just motivated CD to not burn out (which is why we beat them) and to get back into the fight. I guessed after I saw we won that CD would be back for a vengeance to reclaim their spot. xD But thanks on the compliment. Proud of some of the fights SBI had.

It’s a lot of work, like we said :\ We held CD BL for a long time one night with a pretty skeletal crew at one point. There were pretty fun fights (I showed up midway through this when we were getting waypoint at garrison) but at some point most of them just gave up and went elsewhere, and then it got really boring. And I was only there for the easy part and only had to escort the one yak to finish the waypoint. I don’t know if we can do it for that long against SBI since they obviously have a bigger NA presence and the numbers vs CD were already pretty even when I arrived.

OK, the annoying thief with the annoying quaggan pet is still good even after the stealth nerf and culling removal….which is very annoying.. =/

I gave him a harder time then some though I think on my little d/d ele…I knew where he was and dared him to unstealth on me…….and he did…….if just a couple of the north camp defenders had stayed with me we might have taken him down…….I can’t 1v1 him it seems……. kitten that’s annoying! >:(
