A couple weeks ago I had asked you guys of your opinions on Mesmer. Plenty of people from both PvP and WvW chimed in with some awesome feedback, so I flipped the question the other way around for Mesmer. I figured ya’ll may be interested to see what we think of you.

How Mesmer Feel About Engineer.. And Everyone else!

well when I fight a Mesmer my feelings are

KITTEN CLONES !!!!!

I guess a Mesmer would be

KITTEN TURRETS !!!!!

vs Shatter:

It is like: ohh lets condi bomb him, oh wait why I have lost 90% life in 1 sec?

or: now he is dead, he used his heal and still has 2 condis and I am at 80% life…50%…10%.. dead in 2 sec.

Or vs condi mesmer: ok lets fight on point, he can’t hold it, oh wait why I have 12 stacks of confusion?

1vs1 on the point – decap and mostly win with aoe, avades and blocks
1vs1 in the field – run away, nothing to catch here

wvw roaming – there is no one near … to late to heal :P
wvw blobs – utility man, gimme portal

My thoughts about mesmers: oh Yiss, a mesmer! Wait, what… OH KITTEN HE PLAYS CONDI!!! ABORT!

Two bad/mediocre/good players: engi will probably win

Two great/near-perfect players: mesmer should win.

If the mesmer is running condi clear mantra then they really should be winning even if both players are sloppy. It’s really all on the mesmer to screw up; if all their defensive cooldowns are used properly then the engi should be dead before the mesmer is. Of course this is very hard to do properly, which I think is why you see so many mes crying about op condi spam from engi.

For mesmers, reflect on distort is your friend. ^^
