anyone else find a spiritual shield strapping itself to your arm every time aegis is up to be silly? I personally feel they need to rework this graphic. it just looks silly seeing a tiny little kite shield on the forearm of your character when hes got a massive hammer or greatsword in his hand…or just overlaying the graphic of the shield u might already be wearing… just seems poorly thought out.

i like it, it looks pretty cool overlapping with some shields, and personally i do like it when its up while i have my GS

I agree withthe OP. If you are not using a shild it looks silly.

I agree with the second post. It’s cool. It’s only MORE cool when it’s overlapping an actual shield.

Ever notice that Retaliation does the same thing? It looks exactly like the Shield lots of Seraph soldiers use.

I think it looks really cool, especially when using a staff.

I really like the way it looks, especially paired with Staffs and Shields.

I like it most of the time, especially with 2handed weapons, but recently I picked up ebonhawke shield and aegis is ruining it :/

I like it, but I would rather prefer an animation like shield of wrath to more visually show the character is being protected by magic.

The shield is unique and easiest to tell guardians from warriors but I occasionally get upset when it awkwardly covers a shield that you love.

I love it. Looks great overlaying shields and adds flair to big 2h weapons like GS & hammer.

It should not appear when you have a shield equipped.

I kind of agree with the people that say it looks good while using a shield, but looks out of place when you have a two hander.

I think I would rather glow blue, or be engulfed in blue flames when aegis is up or something, especially when a two hander is equipped.

The shield that appear when I unsheathe my weapon(s,) either it be one-handed and a shield, or a two-hand. It makes me feel like a Guardian.

It might be nice is the aura radiated from the edge of the shield, a bit like the Flameseeker Prophecies legendary does ( http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Flameseeker_drawn.png )

I love it. It’s kind of like a goalie blocker. Must be a Canadian on that dev team.

that’s what it is! retaliation that gives the seraph looking shield. i LOOOVE that one.
that being said, i kind of really enjoy the aegis look. and yes, on top of a shield (not ALL shields though, probs works best with a similar shape) is especially kewl.

regardless, i like the way it looks. matches the Guardian “creed”

The problem I have with the graphic is that it can look amazing with certain shields, especially ones that take a shape similar to it. But like some others who posted Seraph shields, it looks like a mess.

Yeah, that shield is not jiving well with the disco ball you’re swinging on the other hand… Looks like we have a fashion crisis here.

You have the wrong idea if you think 2-handed weapons do not allow you to use Shields.
That’s a concept introduced by games.

I like the current Aegis vfx, and ANet doesn’t have to change it.
But if they make it something else I won’t complain either – as long as it makes sense.
