Wow, he really took his defeat(s) well. He didn’t complain or kitten about loosing. He even used his own build every time, and didn’t complain about you, having your own build and you, using the skills that belong to said builds. Good going on his behalf!

Btw could you post the build you used in the last of the fights? The one were you used staff.

Actually, Dietzen … if you look at some of the chat log, there were complaints about Pyro using an “OP” build. However, that is in a fight, versus on the forums. So, I can see both sides of the argument on this thread, tbh.
As for menace. I will give credit for using a build most’ve pointed out as “not optimal,” and not punking out. Lose or not, that’s what really matters … having the conviction to stick to your guns. My only advice to you would be to relax a bit, and when you run into a build or player that gives you issues, think less about the arbitrary concept of “OP” and more about how to adjust your tactics to pull the win.

He did change his build during the duels, at least this is what Pyro has said in earlier posts. And he complained about the dazes and stuns Pyro used, IIRC, however this is not fine. When you boast about a viable build, you should be able to handle whichever situation you would come across. However Menace did not, therefore I would argue he was entirely at fault.

The traits are those of the blackwater build. I use different utils depending on the fight, and in pvp I use undead runes.

So the only thing that video showed us is that indeed his build is worthless yet he still blames everything but the build, from the map, to Pyro’s build he using, to the simply fact that pyro used dazes and he didn’t like it.

He didn’t stick with the build he posted he switched up. He didn’t just accept that Pyro was a better player but that Pyros build is OP.

Look we know Menace is young cause he stated it sometime back but this is simply ridiculous to defend anyone who acts like he does.

I would say that it was less that Chaos is “defending” anyone, and more that he’s asking folk not to feed the Drama Llama. I’d like to think we can all support that concept, Hexxen.

First to Hexxen.
This build doesn’t reach it’s full potential in PVP. It is hard to bring up the condition damage for it to work 100 bleed ticks. I totally respect Pyro. I admit I used his builds but I lost with that too because I dont know how to use it as well as him(Since he is the creator of that build). Nontheless I lost and that’s that. I believe I can do much better in WvW. Anyways. I promise to all the community that I will not get defensive so easily. Just try to calmly explain things from now on plz. I love when you guyz try to talk to me slow and steady. It helps both you and me. BTW I have posted the newest version of the build and have posted the PvP build. I will be gone for a while. Maybe 3 days. But during that time I wish that you guyz post nice comments to each other and to me. Criticism is still accepted, but plz try not to add any more fire to this situation plz. Thank you…

• Pyro’s spec has 3 ‘stuns’ available (2 of them are dazes). He used only 2 of them (Counter Blade, Magic Bullet; didn’t use Diversion) [4 crowd controls in that duel, but actually 3.]

Pyro beated you easily with both power based and condition based builds? It’s even more obvious now.
P.S.: This is not about Pyro playing an ‘overpowered build’ or his stuns, it is about player skill and your build.

I would genuinely look forward to watching two mesmers tooled for stun/daze dueling as it would be hilarious to see all the random stopping and standing around staring going on.

If it doesn’t reach full potential in PvP, why did you even bother posting a PvP version? I just see it as you yet again making excuses instead of accepting that you made a poor build.

@ Pyro thanks for posting the duels, @ OP, guess you have your answer if you dig deep past the sting of defeat.

First of all. This comment is directed towards Hexxen and Inoence who seem to be so happy trying to add unneccessary comments in my thread. Umm. In the very first post of this thread I clearly stated taht this build is still at an early stage, and the reason why I even put the PVP build is so that you guyz get a taste of it’s potential in WvW. If PVP allowed same experience as WvW it would be one heck of a good place to test this build. I personally think that you should all stop visiting my thread if you somehow manage to find it unworthy even now. Before I left I left the polished version of this build. Guess you didnt even see taht one. I suggest you stop bumping this thread and acting like a bunch of smarty pants. I have said that I would try to be a lot less defensive but you guyz(you two) just beggin for me to get defensive. I hope that you realize taht you two are the most Sarcastic commenters on this thread. Hope you dont bump in from now on.

I have updated the WvW build. I will make regular updates to it if possible. It is more effective now. I have the Staff instead of scepter/torch. It still has the same condition damage as before and same Confusion output. It has way more mobility and more shatter potential with awesome condition from clones.

We don’t have to bump your thread, you self bump enough for everyone. ^^

Also, “This build is still at an early stage” and “polished version” are contradictory statements. I did see the new build and it is still not worth much.
