Did phantasmal zerker get fixed this patch?
with 14th may patch, nope no fix what so ever. Seriously im glad im rolling a warrior, at least gets the most attention

The lack of damage sucks but personally I use zerker more for the cripple, I still run tPvP with it…

All my mind wracks hit or do hit for close or to the same damage whether it be 1 clone or all the way to clone 3-4. From what I’ve seen a one clone mind wracks damage fluctuates from 1-200 more or less damage from its first initial damage, and from what it seems there doesn’t seem to be damage multipliers for having more clones up.
its pretty easy to test isnt it? especially with IP. infact you should be seeing higher damage per clone the fewer clones you shatter.
I do see higher numbers with IP with fewer clones and that is what made me come to the forums with this topic. Is it IP that is throwing the damage off and bugging mind wrack? It seems like you know exactly what I’m talking about and I hope you can help explain this to me.

the damage per clone shattered decreases with more clones you shatter, but the total damage for all the clones increases. this holds true regardless of IP or not
for instance with IP,
0 clones 1000 damage
1 clone 800 damage each 1600 total damage
2 clones 700 damage each 2100 total damage
3 clones 600 damage each 2400 total damage
without IP, then your max would be 2100 damage, instead of 2400
No fix this patch either?

Thanks for clearing that up for me and taking the time to explain it to me. I just think its so strange that i can get with two clones a 3900+ crits but once i add another clone in there the crits go to 2400+

This is called non-linear scaling. Our other Shatters scale linearly, meaning the effect is the exact same per Illusion, so each Illusion adds 1/3rd if the potential max effect.
Mind Wrack scales non-linearly, most of it’s potential effect (approx 50%) comes from the first Illusion whereas additional clones add less. You deal more damage overall, but less per Illusion until eventually at 3 Illusions you’re at the max damage and each clone is dealing 1/3rd if it.
IP works by mimicking the per-clone effect of your shatters. Since normally this doesn’t vary it doesn’t matter, but with IP the damage per clone varies. So since a single illusion shatter does slightly less than 50% of the max effect this means that a single illusion Shatter w/ IP deals nearly as much damage as a 3 Illusion Shatter does without it.
In the end, you’re only adding 33% to the max effect which is comparable for a Grandmaster trait, but the boost IP adds for the low-end of your Shatters is incredible.

Sad what? Because you got lucky and your phantasm landed 3 or 4 hits for once or you’re using it on a dummy in LA? Meanwhile, warriors hit 15-20k damage in their MH axe autoattack chain in a total of 6 hits over 5 ish seconds..
Go test out the Berserker’s damage in Orr against different risen mobs and post your results here.
It should be hitting for at least 6-7k in my setup, in it’s non-bugged state.

I didn’t think it could get much worse, but since this new patch (that supposedly didn’t change iB) the average damage I see from my iB is between 1.5 and 3K and are now only using it for its potential crippling.
There’s been issues with iB ever since they tried to fix the line of sight issue which would allow us to cast it onto enemies in castle’s that weren’t on the edge. The good old days. Since then, it’s damage has been hit or miss, it’s range debateable and it’s line of sight, a complete joke. Stone in the road? between run around it first, might not be able to see past it.
So with the confusion nerf and the on going issues with GS builds, where does it leave the Mesmer? Glorified portal taxis.
Come on ANET, get it fixed.

Reward? Its THEIR GAME and our best phantasm is dead, a skill is broken and they’re ignoring the issue. If it was broken for a month then it would be excusable, for two it would be funny cuz they can’t fix something that simple (reverse the freaking izerker to its previous state if it takes you A YEAR to find the bug………………..) but almost 5 months is laughable and worth telling your friends that don’t even play gw2. They refuse to do something with our useless Torch, Scepter, izerker and Mind Stab that everyone ignores cuz its THAT bad.
While this thread has a red post in it, while it remains a place of testing after each patch to check if any progress has been made, and while it serves the purpose of informing less knowledgeable players about the bug, this thread will be allowed to live and will provide good visibility for all devs.
If it turns into a bump and whine fest, the heavy handed mods will lock and/or move it.

the dev said that the damage of iberzerker whirl is spread across its path.. and its damaging just fine in their dmg meters. so i doubt it will be fixed..
maybe, the iberzerker damage from before is the one thats not normal.. hitting most hits when it connects to the targets,.
I’m playing phantasm build mesmer (its my main build) and I managed to corner an orrian and casted iBerserker. It hit every swing yet it only dealt ~2800 damage. And that is with criticals and the 15% damage boost traits from both inspiration and domination.

mirror Blade and full Spatial Surge does more damage then izerker, this is normal to you? You think when izerker was hitting for 4.5-8k it was bugged and the 2k damage you get now is fine? lol funny. Not only it doesn’t deal any damage but it doesn’t cripple properly nor apply bleeds from sharper images…

I think the dodge roll bug (which is claimed fixed but actually, not) is gonna be a potential candidate for being izerker the second. Lets start guessing how many months till its fixed.

Are you so sure? Given that your clones won’t have the offhand equipped your enemies will be able to instantly tell you apart from your clones.

They are, but i would wager that Illusionary Elasticity not affecting staff clones is another annoying bug that makes playing a condition mesmer really hard.

The 4 hits do not always happen if the IZerker is far away from the target it might only get 1 strike in because the animation generates 4 attacks. Saying it only hit a static target 3 times doesn’t really tell the whole story. Hundred blades or whirrlwind on great sword are similar. Each attack has a size and facing and timing and those things determine if a hit occurs.
So basically what you’re saying is:
“Go play a Warrior and learn how the skill ‘Whirlwind Attack’ actually works.”
Sound advice. Expand your knowledge of the game people.
FYI: If you use Whirlwind Attack right next to the target, you won’t get all 4 hits off unless it follows you. I can’t remember the last time I FOLLOWED an iZerker…

Tested and proven by many people in various posts, the hitbox of izerker is screwed up and remains unfixed. Awesome feeling when izerker spins past a dummy golem for 500 damage, about half the damage of my auto-attack with 0 crits.
To be honest, after so long, i’m kinda giving up izerker ever getting a proper fix to its damage. Maybe just throw in the towel and remove izerker’s damage and improve on its CC. Change/Add cripple with daze/stun/chill, i don’t know. Just rename and remake it into illusionary CC-bot.
