Did phantasmal zerker get fixed this patch?
Am I missing something because mine has been doing an average crit of over 5K?
Post a pic please… Doing tests on dummy golems in the mists with a full phantasm damage build nets me 1-2k AT THE MOST.

Maybe because the target is bigger or something but he’s getting almost 6k with crits when his berserker goes through the boss.
To add to above, I guess it’s just random depending on when the little sucker hits?
The fact of the matter is… it is behaving inconsistently where before February 26th. it behaved consistently all the time everytime… Anet has not figured out how to fix it yet -_-

Oh no I completely agree. And if you watch the video even the damage the zerker does isn’t consistant. I just posted it to remind that it is possible though what causes it to go up and down I have no idea. So the dev when he posted his note about it working properly might have seen it doing just that.
And as we’ve seen, sometimes things aren’t tested as much as they should be tested before the changes go live. I’m hardly trying to play defense either. An ANET dev did say they would bring back proof of it working and did kind of fall off the face of the planet in this area.

Serious Anet? The state of the game this bug has been present throughout three sotg’s someone finally asks about it and your response is that you are going to look at it? well good think JP and JK both said that within the space of three months that it is broken and you are absolutely clueless to this? The 4 hits do not always happen if the IZerker is far away from the target it might only get 1 strike in because the animation generates 4 attacks. Saying it only hit a static target 3 times doesn’t really tell the whole story. Hundred blades or whirrlwind on great sword are similar. Each attack has a size and facing and timing and those things determine if a hit occurs.
Thanks for the update Jon, but I would urge you to check up on the iZerker again as multiple people have confirmed that something went wrong with it after the 26th of february patch.
So I would really appreciate it if you could check it out again because there’s definitely something not working as intended. And even if this behaviour was intentional (like with the Ranger SB ‘animation fix’) we would also appreciate it if you just come out and tell us instead of making stuff up as your customers are going to find out anyway (like with the Ranger SB ‘animation fix’).

As far as we know something did go wrong. We can’t reliably get it to display all of he damage floaters, but we have tried to test if the damage is lower or it just doesn’t hit and we have never seen that error I our debug setup which shows attack areas. I may try and make a bad pic tomorrow to show what I mean.

True, but on the flipside, It’s Sharp, not Peters who acknowledged it in the video. So now more then 1 Dev knows its borked. This gives me faint hope.
More than one dev has known its borked since freaking Feb. Jason King acknowledged they exist with in days of the freaking patch… This has been in arena nets ball park since February 26 when Jason King stated that they noticed it was behaving badly. JP just showed ANETS hindside when he came in and said “it looks fine” since another person on the team has acknowledged it isn’t fine.
I really question their product management and the forum mods at this point.
How could something this prolonged (FFS, we’re at 22k views on this thread) still not be given more attention to and fixed already?!
And we have to keep in mind that berserker has been an issue before.. it is not that it is the first time he is behaving badly….

I cast Berserker on a downed player on a flat surface and it hit for 700 damage.

I’ve been playing my ranger alt more now, and came across this bit of info on the late June patch:
As you can see, several devs commented on that being a major traits update patch for many classes. In few more weeks we will find out where we stand to see if devs really give kitten about Mesmers.

Seriously Anet, when are we, and every other profession in the game, going to get some fixes. Forget providing new content (which is generally buggy and / or temporary anyways) and fix the problems with the CURRENT and PERMANENT aspects of this game. I love the concept of the Living Story, but don’t let it cripple the other parts of the game that are in dire need of a fix just to get people to dump money on the gem store. Correct tooltips, fix bugs, balance the game. That needs to take priority. You have a wonderful group of players that point out bugs and patiently wait for changes (for MONTHS on end). Please respect their wishes. Thank you.

It wasn’t really stated correctly by the player (not really his fault). It’s that it’s VERY unreliable. Even on a static target it doesn’t hit 4 times… like ever.
Their response to izerker’kittenting problem was sort of “Wat?… We’ll take a look at it” Not really a good sign IMO, but at least the problem had some attention.

In other news bug fixes to “too much loot” were implemented asap, where’s the bug fix for skills that are broken and/or haven’t worked since launch?
I’d like to start by saying I haven’t been Mesmer for long, but in my few weeks of playing the class, I’ve tried all the weapons and I know iZerk is supposed to be one of the stronger ones…
So my question is if this is a tracking issue, why can’t all damage be in one hit? That first one.. Simple fix.
Ive read this thread and it seems like this is a nerf, not a bug.
As a 100% WvWer, I know my iZerk can hit anywhere between 1200 and 5600 on vet guards. It should ALWAYS hit around 5600, or GS becomes unreliable and useless.
Please do something about this…… Test it on moving targets, stakes, whatever you need to do to realize something is NOT right.

No, simply no. I’d rather have no fix to Zerk than strip him from this beautiful tagging ability changing it to first hit. If anything I’d rather like to see a ground targeting on it, so we could choose a vector for the Zerk than delivering whole damage in a very small area/single target only.

A great place to get this bug to show itself is jade maw (fotm).
My auto attack often does more dmg than the izerker phantasm on the tentacles.
well we all know that is bugged/nerfed.
what we want is an answer, why it does take freaking 6 month to fix it?
at least give a reply and say you guys are working on it. best remove the phantasm and replace it with something else if the game mechanics cant handle this phantasm.

I’m confused as to why it couldn’t have the same vector whirl, but have the damaged delivered to each individual target upon the first hit if they’re in the vicinity of the phantasm. It SHOULD theoretically be an easy fix.

I recently re-geared for phantasm from my normal shatter build. It’s very glassy, but has extremely high crit chance and damage. My phantasms have over 80% crit chance, 30% damage boosts, & 108% crit dmg. In the past 2 nights, I’ve seen how screwed up iZerker is. On one instance, I opened on a guy running sideways to me, and must have had a 4 crit because I had a very high crit, one I’d rather not say b/c it could be construed by anet as proof of the iZerker working . On another instance, I pushed a guy w/#5 into a wall, then summoned izerker knowing this guy wouldn’t be able to move and my zerker would 4 hit him easily. Instead my zerker hit him 3 times for a total of 600 dmg……It’s infuriating. I don’t know what the problem is, but I just want consistency.
I take a break. Come back to game, and my first thoughts were “holly crap, I really lost it over the last few months.” Turns out most of my damage got patched out.

Hi Jon, I really appreciate your time and your involvement in the forums. I must say however that after testing… it’s most definitely not “damage floaters”. Well… let me say… it’s not just a “damage floater” issue. The damage (or lack thereof) is borked. I urge you and your team… please fix it. Please.

I’ve grown accustomed to zerkers doing absolutely no damage and tend to just ignore them entirely.
I think It’s going to be an interesting week 4 or so years from now when this bug eventually gets fixed.

Do you say he is still bugged (as he should be because he never was fixed) or did you encounter another bug/ damage reduction since they introduced the new 11th June update?
