Hey Chaos! I saw in one of the forum threads that you’re computer is having issues, sorry to hear that, I hope it can be fixed soon.
I was wondering if there was any where on the mesmer forum that had a list of people that specialized In certain aspects of mesmer play? For example I know if I wanted to know anything about the ins and outs of lockdown you or Warlord would be the go to people to ask. But what about shatter? Or the multiple variations of condi? I was just wondering if there was something like it for people like myself that wants to go to individuals and learn more about a certain type play style.

Why didn’t we think to do this sooner? o_O

Do me a favor and take a good long look at all your utilities, and all your traits. Ask yourself what drew you to Mesmer in the first place? Don’t you want to try out everything the class has to offer? How many builds do you normally play on average? One? Two? Take the time out to explore, to try something new and to discover all this class has to offer. Leave viability for speedruns, tournaments, and any time you feel like being hardcore. In the mean time… try something new!

No one doing on-clone-death builds these days?

I used to tear anyone not smart enough to run away back in the day in WvW with a Staff, Illusionary Elasticity and all 3 on-clone-death traits. Was my favorite condition build after they nerfed confusion back then … but we didn’t have this new-fangled (but awesome) MtD back then.

For the Lockdown/Interrupt specialists, it’d be lovely to have articles/videos on great times to daze versus the various classes aside from some of the obvious instances like channeled abilities and heals … if there aren’t already. If there are, would someone please point my oblivious self in that direction?

I’m still lurking! I’ve just been burned out with actually playing the game after thousands of hours… that expansion can’t happen soon enough! HYPE!

The only thing I can help anyone with is open field WvW in an organized group.
And looking fabulous.

I hate GvGs, even if I played my fair share o’ them.
I did roam (and sometimes still roam) a lot in small groups, but rarely solo since I don’t follow the “cheese of the day” news closely.

But yes, both jerem and sanderinoa definitely belong under the Dungeons section.

Thanks for adding me to the shatter one btw, I am indeed willing to help people out. I was wondering why I’ve been getting so many whispers over the last few days lol.
I’ll put the guide out tomorrow morning. I planned on doing it yesterday but I ended up dueling Warlord all day :P
I’m almost done with school for quite a while now so I will reinstate the guide properly, no more talking about doing it.

Other categories I’d suggest are:
- 1v1ing
- PvP mesmer (we got WvW and PvE)
- Mesmer mechanics (stuff like positioning, cooldown management ect, not 100% sure how you’d call that category)
-Weapon specific (sword, torch, staff, greatsword, scepter, focus ect)

@chaos, a suggestion – anyone repping OMFG with a teacher rank or higher are able to answer questions or direct to someone specific. Obviously this idea extends beyond the guild but thought it worth mentioning.
