Mesmer PvE Guide by Sanderinoa
I like the new version…Mind wreck!
All hail the Mesmer Prince!

No GS bashing?
The Leveling & Open World Compendium
As much as everyone hates the gs even I find myself using it in some dungeons. It’s easy to hate but it takes skill to use it and still be effective.
No GS bashing?
Why would someone be paid to put together a guide and then bash a weapon which some people are going to insist on using? They didn’t even bash the completely useless warrior rifle.
Nice, complete guide Sandy~
(ps yay no flood control!)
And thanks maxi for allowing me to use your guide as a basis :P I may have used it largely for the build section.

:D Happy to help!
A very informative extensive guide.
Hmm, wreck should be spelled as wrack… as in Mind Wrack, not Mind Wreck.
My dictionary says it’s basically the same thing…
“Portal Exaunt” should be spelled as Exeunt, though.
as these companions include mini pets and illusions
The wiki however says that
The damage bonus for six superior runes applies for any summoned pet, such as Glyph of Elementals or Sigil of Demon Summoning, but not for illusions.
Was surprised not to see Rune of the Traveler mentioned. While it’s not optimal for maximising damage output, it looks like a very common choice for generic PvE because of mesmers being extremely slow and having broken swiftness and broken blink.
Its there now, its there now xD and the wiki is outdated, ranger runes were updated as far as I know. Ill edit the portal exeunt now!

It’s really just the lazy man’s rune of the centaur, and rune of the centaur is really just a map completion/wvw roaming utility skill for mesmer. There’s absolutely no reason to use it in dungeon PvE.

Good news then.

Well, the guide is called “PvE Class Guide”, not “Dungeons/Fractals Speedclear Guide”, so…
Thanks for the guide, Sanderinoa. You’ve got me excited about my Mesmer again, which is always a good thing.

Ka-ching! thats one in the bucket, thanks, that’s what I do it for at least ;P
Thanks for the guide. It at least came closer than anything else to getting me excited about playing my main!
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on an equal power base.”
Pre-launch, Colin listed things that make MMOs bad. They are all now in GW2.
May I add this to the stickied Mesmer handbook?

Sure, I don’t see why not
Technically dulfy owns the guide though, so limiting it to a link could be preferred for her.

Will do! Ty. And for what it’s worth, you’re more than welcome to link/take stuff from the grimoire if it helps out.
