Just tested, you can’t blink on camp roofs anymore. The same probably goes for those ice bridges.
I will die a lot more often to zergs now…
Sadly, blink still goes on full cd without doing anything (aside from breaking stun).

there’s should be no more doubts about ANet’s disdain for Mesmer class.
All those cheerleaders about how HOT expansion will make Mesmers better again need to stop drinking the kool aid.

Slightly uneven surfaces are op, please nerf! Anyways, at least they nerfed stairs with their op fall damage burst.
Well, at least now, Blink doesn’t go on full CD when it fails, so that’s nice. I’ve heard than Blink spots in pvp still work and some were even fixed to work more smoothly. So I’d call it a Blink change, not nerf. To be honest, I was really afraid they were gonna remove all the vertical blink spots in pvp, so I’m a bit relieved. It sucks for the camp doors though.

I like the changes, it’s just fair. We can’t always cry out for buffs when we won’t allow some fairness too. It was op. But they need to tweak it a bit.

This is what I was experiencing. So +1 to change not going onto cd, -1 for missing traited blink.

Oh no… I haven’t had a chance to play since this – not looking forward to it now.
Oh, now they need “no patching” to come up in red, not green. 1s failed blinks are the difference between life and death for mesmer.
They’ll fix it a few months from now. Maybe they’ll even fix Far Reaching Manipulations not affecting the new Mimic even though nobody would care anyways.

I was just reading about that – still downloading patch, interested to see for myself.

How so? People are saying if blink across the glass panels on skyhammer, you end up standing next to the panel which is epic fail.
And aren’t thieves porting also kind of “buffed”, and they eat us for breakfast, lunch and dinner:
For Infiltrator Strike / Judge’s Intervention / Flashing Blade / Signet of Infiltaton:
1.) You can still use them out of range, to teleport in the direction of the target. Cooldown only triggers if you are able to do so.
2.) They still don’t need line of sight. So the rumor weren’t true.
This is really kittening infuriating.
So they nerfed the “OP” ability to blink up to a roof top in WvW camp entrances, but they still can’t find legitimate paths in other cases. Why exactly was this even nerfed? Every single fun and/or unique thing about mesmers has been taken away until we’re just the blandest, most underwhelming ranged DPSer in the game.
1. Blink nerf
2. Mimic nerf – This was an epic nerf that basically removed the Mimic spell from the game for mesmers.
3. Confusion nerfs
4. PU nerf
It’s cool though, they put Torment on scepter auto-attack.
And here I was actually enjoying roaming the other night. Guess I’ll just not play this game some more.
If i’m not wrong, they removed the glowing effect from phantasmals’ weapons? They look like normal weapons now.

So yeah, testing things out.
Blink will absolutely fail and go on cooldown with the ‘cannot find valid path to target’ error. This is probably a bug, but who knows how long it will be until it gets fixed…
Additionally, many of the spots are extremely finnicky now. Where you could previously target just in the area, now you have to be targeted actually on top of a pathable surface. This combined with the going on cooldown bug makes blink nearly unusable in a lot of places.
That being said though, most of the blink spots still do function, just you can’t use them right now, because blink is heavily bugged.
Edit: Also, they broke guilds again.
Double Edit: Dolyaks make clip-clops now, did they used to do that?
Triple Edit: I’m actually having no difficulties blinking to the top of the walls outside camps so far.

It is not a nerf it is a bug fix. Teleports skills are not mesmer exclusive skills. Thieves, necros and eles have them too….
Yeah i think it’s the trait that is bugged and not baseline blink, not sure though as i am not having any more problems than previously personally (pvp). As for people wondering about how ports (mesmer ports at least) were buffed in PvP, i won’t spoil, you’ll have to find out for yourselves ^^

I actually haven’t tested all my usual WvW spots with my Mesmer, but nothing has changed for my Thief thus far. Can still travel up 1200 range high cliffs using Shadowstep and Infiltrator’s Arrow similarly works. Only thing I’ve noticed is the not being able to shadowstep through some structures now.
Fixed an issue that prevented the mesmer’s Blink skill from functioning correctly when traited with Master of Manipulation.

I suppose we should thank anet. By fixing blink maybe fury or some other adept will be more appealing in wvw. Thanks for promoting build diversity.

Blink is still very good. Better still for some uses. I’m pleased not to end up facing a wall with Blink on full CD when I failed to correctly target the edge of the hill I wanted to port to.

I’ve still been caught on terrain glitches, not blinked forward, skill gone on cd. But that’s not a “no path” notice one.
In my opinion they just broke one of my best skills -.-
I tested it alot and the Roofs from tha camps are now even more buggy. There are some spots where the blink still works… they broke a skill and didnt fixed a problem. if you keep klicking blink on the roof 1 out of 1000 klicks will work and u either get portet up or blink just goes on CD.
If you are an the icy bridge in the Hill Keep on the rigth side of the map it goes nearly every tome on cd without port if you try to use it.
A-Net did again some very good things to keep us away from playing a nice class…

Just tried it again, and I can still get Shadowstep to fire, use initiative, and yet not port me anywhere. Not fixed 100% yet.
And, IMO, Steal is noticeably worse than pre-patch. (T_T)
I now can not blink to the top of the workshop camp in the BLs as I could before with 1200 blink, why Anet?

I’m loving the changes. I really do. I don’t know what you are talking about in some cases (Blinking on top of camps in WvW? Huh, what? Sounds so weird and mostly useless (and impossible too since you can’t actually walk up there) that I’ve never even tried that.) On the other hand, I notice a HUGE improvement. Blinking to spots that I’ve always thought should be possible, now works. Same with Phase Retreat. And don’t get me started about how my downed 2 skill has teleported me to epicly awesome places since the change (in PvP). Yepp. Definitely loving it. <3

Edit: Oh, and no more wasting a Blink when you can’t actually blink to that spot.

You can walk up there and that blink helped immensely when fighting outmanned to get some breathing space. It seems like most of these spots still work, except this one, though, so i guess it’s some kind of bug.
